Playing also provided a fantastic networking opportunity and just happened to be a lot of fun.
For an avid golfer, every SRAR tournament offers an opportunity to play a top-rated golf course. Moorpark Country Club, which hosted this year’s classic, is rated by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the “Best Places To Play” in California.
The golf classic is the SRAR Charitable Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, with the proceeds going to the first-time homebuyer grant program, jointly funded by the SRAR Foundation and the California Association of Realtors Housing Affordability Fund. Each year the program’s grants enable dozens of families to purchase a home in the San Fernando or Santa Clarita valleys.
This year’s grants are open to active or veteran members of a U.S. military service or a law enforcement organization, including police, sheriff or California Highway patrol officers. Recipients of the $2,000 grants, which do
not need to be repaid, must have purchased a home after May 6 and must meet income qualifications. For details and a downloadable application form, go to www.SRAR.com.
