Even though we know it will make us better in the long run, it is not much fun. In today’s second reading, the author of the Letter of the Hebrews reminds us that what applies to our social development, ap- plies to our spiritual development, as well. Just as parents don’t want spoiled children, God doesn’t want spoiled disciples. We will always receive the graces we need from God; they may not always be the ones we want. Part of the spiritual maturation process is discerning what God is trying to teach us, instead of complaining that we didn’t receive what we wanted. En la segunda lectura de hoy, el autor de la Carta de los Hebreos nos recuerda que lo que se aplica a nuestro desarrollo social, también se aplica a nuestro desarrollo espiritual. Así como los padres no quieren hijos mimados, Dios no quiere discípulos mimados. Siempre recibiremos la gracia que necesitamos de Dios; Puede que no siempre sea los que queremos. Parte del proceso de maduración espiritual es discernir lo que Dios está tratando de enseñarnos, en lugar de quejarse de que no recibimos lo que queríamos. Registration is open for all children and youth in grades pre-K through 12th! Come by the office to register for classes. The deadline for registration for Sacramental Preparation classes will close on September 29th. Don’t delay!

annually renew their training online. LeAnn and Lili will hold Teacher Training and
Safe Environment classes in English and Spanish on Sunday, Sept. 8th
(Teacher Training 10am-11am; Safe Environment 11am-12pm) and
Wednesday, Sept. 11th (Teacher Training 5:30pm-6:30pm; Safe Environment 6:30pm
