Thank you for organising a group celebration Cosy Under Canvas Thank you for organising your group celebration here at Cosy Under Canvas. We hope you will all enjoy your stay here and have lots of fun, making memories to last a lifetime. We’ve attached some info about the site for you to send out to your group separately but for your records here it is plus some extra info for you as the organiser. Bedding The following bedding is provided: Bottom sheets, pillows, pillow cases, blankets and a hot water bottle for ALL beds. A duvet and cover for the one main bed per dome only. We recommend that everyone brings a sleeping bag then there’ll be a few spares if needed. Electricity There is no electricity in the site at all. Lighting is provided by re-chargeable electric lanterns which can be charged in the washroom during each day of your stay. We recommend that everyone brings a further torch or lantern. The washroom near reception (150m walk away) has electricity for phone charging, hairdryers etc. Arriving Our postcode is HR5 3QQ and the site is signposted from the main A438. On arrival no need for everyone to check in at reception just the first people to arrive or the organisers. We usually have a chat to 2 or 3 of the group and ask that the information is passed around between you. If you give us a call or drop us an email or text half an hour or so before arrival we can often be at the site when you arrive. Park in the car park then use the wheelbarrows to carry your belongings. Please car pool as much as possible as the car park isn’t huge and please do not drive into the site through any gates under any circumstances. Decorating the Site We are very happy for you to decorate the site and will do our best to ensure 1 or 2 hens can arrive an hour ahead of the 'bride to be' to organise this. We have a large box of re-useable festival style decorations such as chalkboards, bunting, light up letters, photo booth props etc that you are welcome to borrow for a small charge of £25. All decorations must be taken down prior to your departure and ours returned in a re-useable condition. Our Plastic Policy We would rather you didn't bring single use foil and plastic decorations, confetti, plastic straws or rubber balloons. We can recommend a number of suppliers of fabric bunting, paper pom poms, paper straws and longer lasting hen do mementos that don't cost the earth. We also ask that you don't bring any plastic plates, cutlery or glasses. Everything is provided here at Cosy Under Canvas so there's enamel crockery, proper cutlery and long lasting, durable poly carbonate glasses. We have tumblers, wine glasses and bubbles glasses so have got it all covered!

Cooking at CosyCooking facilities are provided in the communal kitchen. All pots, pans and utensils that you could possibly require are available for your use.

There are 6 gas hobs but no oven so please don’t bring garlic bread, lasagne etc that needs cooking in a hot oven.

Most of our groups book the use of our pizza oven or cook over the open fire. There are large hanging pots for chilli, curry etc and griddles for BBQ type food to use over the fire.

We can arrange catering for you and there are some options on our website or you are welcome to organise a shopping delivery. Sainsburys and Tesco deliver to us and the best time is between 2 and 4pm if you’d like us to put it away for you, or after you have arrived. Please be sure to let us know if you are ordering a delivery as we need to look out for it and direct the driver to the correct drop off location.

ActivitiesWe find that groups have the most fun if they have at least one activity or event organised on or off site during their stay. There are plenty of suggestions on our website and if there is something specific not listed please get in touch and we may be able to point you in the right direction.

If you need some inspiration we are also happy to have a chat with you about activities that have been organised by groups in the past.

Finally please can everyone be respectful of our few rules:No smoking inside the domes or any inside communal areasNo amplified music after 11pmNo noise after midnightLook after the domes and furnishings as if they were your ownKeep communal areas clean and tidy

You will have paid a Noise, Damage and Mess security deposit that will be returned 1 week after your stay provided that the site is left clean and tidy and the rules adhered to.
