(ii) Your letter no. nil dated 24 th September, 2012 Sir, Kindly refer to your letter dated 24 th September, 2012, wherein you have requested to change the capacity of Urea Plant to 3850 MTPD in place of 3500 MTPD in line with new investment policy declared by GOI on 03.01.2013. It is noted that the capacity of ammonia plant remains unchanged at 2200 MTPD. Earlier it was proposed to convert only 2000 MTPD of ammonia to urea leaving 200 MTPD for other use. However, now it is proposed to convert entire 2200 MTPD to Urea. Following are the change in configuration of the plant : S.     Sir,

    Kindly refer to your letter dated 24th September, 2012, wherein you have requested to

    change the capacity of Urea Plant to 3850 MTPD in place of 3500 MTPD in line with new

    investment policy declared by GOI on 03.01.2013. It is noted that the capacity of ammonia plant

    2.0 The proposal was considered by the Reconstituted Expert Appraisal Committee

    (Industry) in its 5th meeting held during 31st January, 2013 1st February, 2013.EIA report

  • preparation/public hearing was exempted as per para 7 (ii) of EIA Notification, 2006. The

    Committee recommended the proposal for amendment in environmental clearance.

    3.0 The Ministry accepts the recommendation of the Expert Appraisal Committee (Industry)

    for amendment in the existing environmental clearance subject to compliance of specific

    conditions and general conditions.

    4.0 All other conditions will remain unchanged.

    5.0 You are requested to keep this letter with the Environmental Clearance accorded vide

    letter No. J-11011/1291/2007-IA II (I) dated 10th September, 2012.

    6.0 In future, in case of change in the scope of the project, the company shall obtain fresh

    environmental clearance.

    7.0 This issues with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
