th1. All participants to the 36 Session of the CCNFSDU in Bali are required to possess a passport that is

valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of entry into the Indonesian territory, with sufficient

passport pages for visa stamps and have Round-trip airplane ticket.

2. Should a visa for entry into the Indonesian territory is required, participants are advised to submit their

visa application as early as possible at least 4 (four) weeks prior to the session at the Indonesian

missions abroad. The list of the Embassies, Consulate Generals and Consulates of the Republic of

Indonesia and their addresses are available at

Visa Information

4. The Government of Indonesia offers a facility of Visa on Arrival not exceeding 30 days for nationals

from 62 countries which can be applied on arrival at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta

and at the Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali. Visa on Arrival is subject to a fee of US$35 payable by

cash on arrival. Should the participants, holders of a Diplomatic and Official or Service Passports,

including all Ministers or Head of Delegations, wish to apply for a Visa on Arrival, the said fee shall

apply and be borne on them. Bank facilities are available next to the Visa on Arrival desk in the airport

arrivals hall for those who need to exchange money to pay the fee. Visa on Arrivals not convertible to

other types of visas.

5. Participants from other countries whereby there is no Indonesian Missions in the country of

residence and not include on the list of 15 countries Visa Free Entry and 44 countries Visa

Exemption for Diplomatic and Official/Service Passport Holders and Visa on Arrival facility for 62

Visa Information

Should the participants wish to apply Visa on Arrival, delegation coordinators representing the

countries are reminded that they must submit an official note to the Indonesian CCNFSDU

Organizing Committee with each delegate's full name, nationality, passport number and

passport's date of expiry, in order to be eligible of this arrangement. A Letter of Guarantee (LOG)

will subsequently be provided confirming this Visa on Arrival arrangement. For this arrangement,

delegation coordinators are advised to submit the application as early as possible at least 6 (six)

weeks prior to the session.

6. All delegations from the countries stated in para 5, including all Ministers or Head of Delegations,

using the Visa on Arrival procedure must pay a fee of US$35 payable by cash on arrival. Bank

facilities are available next to the Visa on Arrival desk in the airport arrivals hall for those who need to

exchange money to pay the fee. Please refer to para 4 for general requirements for Visa on Arrival.

Other Information of Bali

Bali Standard Time is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT + 8). Bali is in the Central Indonesian

Time zone and has a different time zone with Jakarta, which is 1 hour ahead of Jakarta time.

With sunshine shining throughout the year, Bali has a tropical monsoon climate, with pleasant day

temperatures between 20 to 33 degrees Celsius or 68 to 93 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rainy season starts from October to March, when the West monsoon brings heavy showers and high

humidity.

June to September is considered the driest season, with low humidity and it can be fairly cold in the

evenings, the best time for any outdoor activities.

Electricity

Electricity power through Bali is 220 volt, 50 Hz and mostly use 2 round pin plugs. Adaptors can be

required to the hotel you are staying at.

Water

Bottled drinking water is highly recommended, it is available everywhere at local supermarkets, grocers

and mini markets. It is not recommended to drink water straight from the tap in Bali.

Mobile services

There are many GSM network providers in Indonesia like Telkomsel, Indosat, Excelcom (Pro XL), Axis, etc.

The frequency support is dual band (900 & 1800 MHZ). The CDMA provider in Bali support 800 Mhz and

1900 Mhz. Some of network providers have cooperation with local network provider (Bali) but some of

them may not.

For a GSM/CDMA card will cost you about IDR 15000 – IDR 50000 (about $1.5 - $5) reloaded with 10000

credit or more or even less! Make sure you question the information on the cellphone gallery. Cellphone

credit is called “Pulsa.”

To reload your GSM/CDMA card with “Pulsa” you have to find cellphone (handphone) counter near you.

There are various kind of pulsa reloaded it is your choice. There is nothing simpler than finding cellphone

counter near you.

Tipping

Tipping in Indonesia or Bali is not compulsory but it is assume as an appreciation of what they have done.

So you do not have the obligation to give the tips on your traveling to Bali.

Although some people assume that tipping is not right to teach people doing the job better but it is pro and

contra problem in Asia social polemic. This is just to share the information that the fair tips the people give

in Bali is start from IDR 10.000. It depends on what they do. In tourism industry like hotel, room boy/maid

usually receives IDR 10.000 (about $1), for tour guide which accompany you a day on tour then they

usually got from IDR 50.000 (about $5).
