Triple C Development, 501 Chesnut Bypass, Centre, AL 35960, (256) 927-4550 Dear Mayor McGrail, Mayor Pro Tem Brown, Council Member Reaves, Council Member Cawthra, Council Member Thompson, Council Member Holmes and Council Member Miller. I hope this email finds each of you doing well and that you had a very enjoyable 4 th of July. As you know, we are attempting to make our presentation again for our Zippy’s car wash on Keller Parkway. It was recommended from City Council, P&Z along with City staff that we make an attempt to work with our adjacent neighbors to the south of our property in order to come up with a compromise to our car wash. Our hopes were to reach out to the residents before they received the letter informing them that we were coming before the P&Z and City Council again. Below is the recap of our trip. Attached is the letter that Jose Rivera and I put on the doors of the 6 residents that are most affected by the wash and their response (I retyped the letter as I didn’t have a copy of it). We were hoping that some people would call before we went back to their houses that evening…no one called. We called on the homes between 6 P.M. and 8 P.M. 1. Jim Couch-121 Navajo Dr. - We went to Mr. Couch’s house on June 29 th and 30 th . The letter had been removed; however, we could get no one to answer the door. 2. Sandra Sider- 120 Sioux St.- Ms. Sider was not aware that the car wash project was coming back before the city. She said that it really didn’t affect her so she didn’t care. 3. Allen and Nancy Low- We met Mrs. Low’s grandmother as we were putting the letters out and she said that they were getting ready for a funeral and didn’t have time to talk. Of course we apologized and left them to get ready. We did come back the next night but, understandably, they did not answer the door. 4. Roger and Wendi Fisher- 609 E. Hill St.-Mr. and Mrs. Fisher were on vacation the first evening we went by to see them. They returned on June 30 th . Mr. Fisher was really nice…he voiced his concerns about noise and where the fence would go. We assured him that the sound would be no different then what he was hearing at this very moment. 5. Johnny and Lisa Woolums-613 E. Hill St. - We had dropped by to see them on the 29 th and Mrs. Wollums told us that there was nothing that we could do to change her mind; however, her husband was at a meeting and we were welcome to come back by the next night. This was also another very pleasant conversation…Mrs. Woolums was very worried that the car wash was going to drop her property values immensely along with being very noisy. She was also very upset with the response that we gave her, during the last city council meeting, concerning loud music being played. We did apologize and promised her that our attendants would be on site to handle any problems such as this. We spoke on each topic and assured her that we were going to do our very best to be good neighbors to them. They also wanted to know more about the wall and where we could put it if we happened to pass the councils. 6. Brenda Chappotin- 116 Anita Avenue- Ms. Chappotin was apparently out of town as the letter was never removed from her door and no one appeared to be home. We knocked and rang the doorbell each evening. Lastly, Jose contacted Mr. Joseph Bain- the Branch Manager at Bank of the Ozarks. We plan on using his bank for our deposits and he seemed to like the idea of the car wash as a neighbor to their bank. I hope that council will listen to our presentation with an open mind and take into account the time and effort we have put forth in our effort to bring this business to Keller. I thank each of you for your time and patience that you have displayed throughout our plight with this venture.

Homeowners Sorry that I missed you but I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jose Rivera. I am the President of Zippy’s Express Wash and I wanted to talk to You about the concerns you may have with the car wash. I am trying to construct a new car wash and I would LOVE the opportunity to speak with you and your neighbors about the project. I want to meet with you either individually or as a whole to make this project beneficial for both of us. I want to know what Zippy’s needs to do with the neighbors to make this happen. My goal is to be a good neighbor and to honor your request if possible. You can contact me at 251-979-1438 at your convenience. I will be in the area to meet with the homeowners. Thank you Jose R. Rivera
