Pastor’s Message Happy Easter!

The Lord is truly Risen. He wants to be alive in us! He wants to live with us every moment of every day. May we be open to the grace that only our Risen Lord can give! Let these words from Mark’s gospel bring us hope!

When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go and anoint him. Very early when the sun had risen, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb. They were saying to one another, “Who will roll back the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back; it was very large. On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. He said to them, “Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him. But go and tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.’” - Mark 16:1-7

Hospital Admissions: Please notify the Church Office

if you or your loved one is admitted to the hospital. We have

missed visiting several of our parishioners because we were

not notified by the hospital’s Pastoral Staff office that they

were admitted. It is important for you to tell the staff on your

floor that you want your parish notified about your

admission. This will enable our parish nurse/pastoral staff to

contact you. You will also be able to get Holy Communion

regularly while you are in the hospital if the Pastoral Office

has you on their list.

PARISH HEALTH MINISTRY

A Time of Rebirth in Our Lives

We have just gone through Lent, a time to check in on the

state of our spiritual health, to grow and strengthen our

relationship with God and spend extra time with our Lord.

We have now come to Easter and with this a sense of hope

and gratitude in what our Lord has done for us. It

demonstrates Our Lord’s love for us, His victory over death

and sin, and His promise for renewal of life for us.

Spring also symbolizes hope and rebirth through the longer

days, warmer weather, the colorful display of spring flowers,

the varying shades of green in the budding trees and bushes

and grass. Along with all these wonderful gifts to our five

senses, the birth of darling baby birds and animals give us a

thrill and sense of hope. Springtime is seen as a time of

growth, renewal and new life being born. It symbolizes the

cycle of life once again starting.

In this Easter Season, be sure to stop yourself periodically on

a daily basis, to spend quiet time with God while you are

paying closer attention to all the beauty He has put on our

earth for us to enjoy. By doing this, it will help you to better

notice and appreciate all the beauty that is all around you. We

get so busy running from one thing to the next that we miss

the little things in our lives that can bring great joy. Besides

making you more aware of the beauty around you, it will help

you relax and fill you with a sense of gratitude.

“Don’t hurry. Don’t worry. You’re only here for a short visit.

So, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.”

Walter Hagen

May you all have a very Happy Easter Season!
