NBAF Construction Fully Funded
• Funding appropriations began in FY06 to start planning and the site selection process.
• The $1.25 billion acquisition cost was fully funded in FY15 through a combination of federal appropriations and funding provided by the State of Kansas.
• $938M federal appropriations.

The NBAF acquisition includes costs to complete construction and facility commissioning

information consistent with ASF. • Presumptive positive case:
– A suspect case with a positive screening laboratory test result for ASFV (PCR) at NVSL FADDL, or
– At a NAHLN laboratory approved for ASF Preparedness and Surge Testing.
• Confirmed positive case: – An animal from which ASF virus has been isolated
and identified at NVSL FADDL or a laboratory designated by the Secretary of Agriculture or,
– A presumptive positive case with a positive confirmatory ASFV antigen test at NVSL FADDL.
