Dear Alumni, Partners, and Friends, The College of Science and Technology at Texas Southern University has had a very fruitful 2011-2012 academic year. As Dean of the College of Science and Technology, I would like to share our accomplishments with you and invite you to join us at our Open House -- Alumni and Partnership Luncheon from 11:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012. We have prepared a short program that will highlight some of our activities, present our students, faculty research, and outreach efforts. Our Open House highlights the most active and significant partners of the past year. We are very pleased to recognize the Port of Houston Authority this year as our “Partner of the Year.” In the Open House, we will announce the recipients of our Distinguished Alumni Awards selected by each department in the College. The College of Science and Technology is addressing the shortfall in the scientific workforce by encouraging our students to pursue the study of fields that are in demand in business, industry, government, and higher education.
