Robust and durable
Experience in a multitude of applications shows that theinstruments are placed under a great deal of strain duringtransport and on site. For this reason, the new digital refrigerationmanifolds are put through extreme endurance tests. Among theseare drop tests (the instrument must not only be undamaged, butalso work faultlessly, after a fall from a height of 1.5 m onto aconcrete floor).
Vibration tests according to DIN/EN 50379 guarantee thefunctionality of the construction far beyond the demands ofday-to-day use.
The IP 54 protection class documents the resistance towardswater splash.
However, there is no substitute for practice: years of experienceas a pioneer in the field of digital refrigeration manifolds, andcountless field tests with users, show that tough conditions areno problem for the new generation of measuring instruments.
The second skin made of shock-absorbent material protects frommechanical damage.
The valves can be stowed,avoiding damage from shearingforces.
330 refrigerants integrated in the instrument -optimum refrigerant managementThe temperature/pressure curves of 30 refrigerantsare stored in the instrument. If other refrigerants arerequired, they can be downloaded free of chargefrom the Testo website and transferred to theinstrument. This makes the refrigeration manifoldextremely versatile for all systems and requirements.
Versatility with wireless probesWith the Testo 556 and 560, wireless temperaturemeasurement at distances of up to 20 m (withoutobstruction) are possible, in addition tomeasurements with classical probes. A wideselection of pipe wrap probes, immersion,penetration and air probes gives the option formeasuring simultaneously other parts of the system.Damage to the probe cable or hindrances in use arethus eliminated.
Superheating/subcoolingThese critical measurement parameters are calculated in real time.
Evacuation with the display of the evaporationtemperature of waterDuring the evacuation of a system, the integratedvacuum sensor (Testo 560) measures the absolutepressure and the evaporation temperature of water.The measured values provide information onwhether the system is being optimally dried, i.ewhether the water vapour is being withdrawn. Theevacuation can be carried out considerably quickerthan has been possible up to now.
Easy to operatePush button selection from the clearly definedscreen menu, enables the user to gain informationquickly. Reference to the manual is rarely requiredand familiarisation with the use of the instrument israpid and easy.

Theft protectionThe instruments can be secured againsttheft with a padlock, to a fixed plant.
Data protectionA user code prevents the instrument frombeing accidentally turned off during criticaltesting. Readings can not be tamperedwith, ensuring information can be providedas authentic proof of system conditions.
5Data store with report printoutThe data store in both the Testo 556 and Testo 560 allows easyand fast documentation of the measurement results. Stored valuescan be effortlessly logged with the help of the software EasyKool.Company logos can be integrated in the reports. Additionally allmanifolds have the possibility of printing readings on the Testoinfrared report printer.
Easy refrigerant inventory management according tothe F-gas regulationThe filling or refilling of a system can be documented with thequantities stored in the instrument.

6 Software
EasyKool Software Readings can be displayed graphically or in tabular form with theEasyKool software. A commissioning report can be created if allactions taken during commissioning are recorded. Theuninterrupted documentation of the data over a defined periodallows the targeted diagnosis of the causes of malfunctions.
The commissioning data as well as all inspection data are availableat all times. This makes all interference with the system, includingunauthorised interference, transparent.
The data is tamper proof.
The use of the measurement system, (instrument and software),thus not only helps to be more accurate and considerably faster, italso increases customer satisfaction, as all relevant data areavailable.
