The DVGW Cert GmbH is the leading European certification agency

for companies in the gas and water industry and covers all certifi-

cation processes relevant in this field. In close cooperation with test

laboratories, all gas and water-related products as well as related

manufacturing and service processes, quality management and

environment protection systems are monitored according to DIN

EN ISO 9000 and DIN EN ISO 14001. This guarantees both indus-

try specific test and monitoring processes as well as tailor-made

Pipe drilling units

All städtler + beck pipe-drilling devices allow drilling a pipe without any gas or water leakage.

For years, städtler + beck uses a unique system, named IKSK, which provides intelligent and continuous control of the power applied to the cutting tool.

This system is based upon a special spring, which is loaded in order to automatically apply pressure to the cutting tool.In this way, städtler + beck pipe cutting devices feature a number of unique characteristics:

• High torque level

• Uniform drilling results

• Less wear on the cutting tool and absorption of shocks

As a result, these devices need 50 % less time when compared to conventional pipe drilling devices. Due to reduced wear, operating costs are 65 % lower while cutting tools last longer.

The drilling and tapping device “MINI” is the economical solution for all situations where metal and plastic lines or pipes under pressure up to 10 bar have to be drilled with a drilling diameter of up to 2½".

Bag positioning devices to temporarily stop-off gas pipes according to BRG 500 regulations. All MDA™ bag positioning devices (both single and double bag positioning devices) are DVGW certified.

MDA™ bag positioning devices are the only DVGW-certified double bag positioning devices on the market with the following features:

• Position of both bags into one direction (against the pressure)

• Both bags are connected sequentially, using the full diameter of the setting sleeve for lower load on the material during positioning and pulling especially of the 2nd bag

• Each bag features its own air inlet

• Exchanging of a bursted bag is not necessary since the second bag is able to hold the pressure until work on the pipe is completed

• Since both bags are inserted towards the direction of the pressure and not towards the working area, less space and therefore less excavation work is required

• Measuring the pre-pressure allows controlled release of the pressure between bags

• A gas insert allows releasing pressure, flushing and re-filling of the workspace

MDA™ bag positioning devices are also available for water pipes, long-distance energy pipes and applications of the chemical industry.

HA MINI bag positioning device (house connection)– Bag positioning devices especially developed for building gas house connections,

consisting of Gas pipe insert, Bag positioning pipe, Positioning struts and Transport case.

These HA bag-positioning devices are the only ones on the market, which can be used in combination with bow-shaped ball valves. In combination with water pipes, the use of special high-pressure bags allows the use with operating pressures of up to 2.5 bar. Due to the well-known insertion technology, the use of 2 setting devices allows releasing the tension of the space between bags or flushing the pipe.

Bag positioning devices for double stop-off bags with the funktion to release the tension between bags – DVGW certified, Certification no. 4521BR0184

This system allows positioning and controlling of two bags in sequential order with only one bag positioning device or one set of positioning struts. Each bags features its own air inlet. In this way, both bags can be filled independently. Any damage of the pressure-side bag does not automatically affect the second bag. This technique requires only drilling and consequential sealing of one insertion hole on each side of the working space without sacrificing the security of two stop-off bags. A third injection device allows releasing the pressure of the space between both bags. Gas leakage into this space is released via a hose leading to the street level.

The use of a s+b bag positioning device for stop-off bag with pressure release allowes the temporary lock in front of supply lines without leakage of gas and the continuously measurement of pressure at the same time.

With the locks of both bag positioning devices it is possible to de-gas the duct section to be separated. For security reasons this will be done preferably by rinsing with Inert gas.

High pressure blocking technology

Pipe drilling and HA stop-off device until 1 bar pipe pressure 1 to 2 ½"– For drilling and temporarily blocking gas house connections

The stop-off device is mainly used to block high pressure gas pipelines, thereby the gas emission is limited to the maximum capacity of the sluice. The HA type safely blocks house connections to 2½". We offer the stop-off device with or without primary pressure measurement, so there‘s no need for another temporarily suppressor. In the water and long-distance heating area the device is applicable up to 6 bar line pressure.

The plugs can easily be fitted with the milling cutter and plug adapter, and after being drilled they can be grouted. The ability to rewarp them is most important, which afterwards allows a troublefree traction.

s+b MDA™ stop-off bags are made with a unique rubber, which was designed to allow especially high internal pressures. Even for DN 300 bags, the maximum counter-pressure of our MDA™ bags is 500 mbar, which is truly unique for stop-off bags of this type.

In comparison to conventional testing and stop-off bags (fabric bags), the new MDA™ bags offer a number of vital advantages:

Our concern was always a gas stop-off operating respectively and operating under less dengerous circumstances, especially in relation to house connection. Starting with the first drilling device we‘ve exclusively produced pipe drilling units.

Today therefore we possess the largest global range of testing and blocking devices (HA):

A series of patent-registered technologies like the gas lock for gas-free insertion of a TV camera (Patent-No.10316842.7), the development of a special pipe stopper (Patent-No. 202 14 556.5), or our new universal hose adapter for städtler + beck HAT‘s for an easy installation of all gas lock systems without additional welding are evidence of our capabilities.

Insertion technology (HA)

Gas lock for gas-free insertion of a sliding TV camera – for inserting into gas or water pipes with pressures of up to 10 bar

The TV gas lock makes it possible to insert a sliding TV camera for inspection of gas pipes without the leakage of gas. In the process, it is possible to push the sliding tv camera continuously and as far as you require over the pipe to be inspected. By a new and patented procedure it is possible to move the sliding TV camera flexibly and free of gases.

Thus the current status of a gas pipe can be investigated, when gas bags burst or are destroyed inside the tube during a closing off.

It is also possible to watch the pipe connections, especially if material is being changed. With the städtler + beck TV gas lock system you can also record storage tanks, sliders and other installations.

House line gas pipe testing device, 1 bar/150 mbar – Combined measuring device for conducting pre-test and main testing on gas supply lines

according to DVGW-TRGI or TRF.

The testing device consists of a testing pump mounted on a board, manufactured from precision steel pipe, with outlet for a connected pressure gauge with bourdon tube. A plexiglass water container is also located on the board with an unscrewable water column for displaying a testing pressure of up to 150 mbar during the main test. Before you separate or connect a metal gas pipeline or install or remove a pipeline component, a fitting, a gas meter, a gas pressure regulator and similar components first an electroconductive bridging of the cut-off point has to be established as a protection against the dangerous contact voltage and as a protection against the ignitable flashover of flammable gas.

House connection socket testing device– It's the first swivelling socket testing device for testing house connection ends from the

main tube – “leak test”.

The house connection socket testing device makes it possible to do a leak test of house connection sockets (integrated house connections) and pipe sockets according to DIN EN 1610 or DIN 4033.

Main tubes with a diameter of DN 300 - DN 700, and house connection pipes with a diameter of DN 100 - DN 210 can be locked.

The house connection socket testing device has two inflatable tyres for sealing the main tube. There is a positioning tube in the “testing area”, which is positioned on the house connetion by swivel movements and camera monitoring. After this positioning an MDA stop-off bag will be pulled into the house connection over a feed device, hence providing the sealing. Now the resulting testing area can be pressurised and a leak test can be done.

The DMS 5.0 fully complies with EN 1610 requirements for accuracy, from 10 % of allowable pressure drop. This provides the analogue-digital conversion, with an end resolution of 12 Bit.

The maximum error in respect of the absolute error of measurement corresponds to + / - 1 LSB, or + / - 0.06 mbar (250 mbar pressure sensor). The display corresponds to the value recorded in the controller to one exact decimal place (+ / - 1 mbar). The measurement is updated every 2 seconds regardless of the selected sampling rate.

The Measurment Unit “UniMess” is a modern, universally applicable Measuring System for the inspection, control and monitoring of separator facilities, ducts and pipelines, especially designed for the examination of tanks containing light liquids according DIN 1999-100, grease products according to DIN 4040-100 and for sewer drainage piping, for example according to DIN EN 1610 passing suitable eligability rules (requires optional Fittings).

The series of reconstructing packers, short and longer packers as well as flexible packers, is the basis with the offered incidentals of a professional repairing system for long-term repair of defective pipe lines and canals.

Reconstruction packers are used for a thorough repair of pipe lines and canals, but also for long-term maintenance of section of pipes or canal holding fixtures, for removing cracks, corrosion, sleeve offsets and pipe breaks.

All reconstructing packers, also equipped with a carrying device, for repair sleeves made of glass fibre mat coated with a special artificial resin. We offer all the necessary incidentals for this.
