GO TO BROWSER Open your web browser and type the Test Practice web address found on your EASYKEY Card and click enter. Then click “Login” to continue.

CHOOSE ASSESSMENTChoose a subject by clicking on a tab.Then choose the assessment by clicking on the underlined assess-ment blue link.

LOGINYour EASYKEY Card also has your child’s “Username” and “Password”. NOTE: Each child must use their own “Username” and “Password”.

COMPLETE ASSESSMENTTake your time and answer the ques-tions on the assessment test. Once you have completed the assessment test you will get your results and a choice of a fun game.

Orientation ToolkitStudent’s Site Taking a Pretest or

PosttestYou may log in with your unique username and password to access your practice activities,as well as fun and exciting reward games.You may also view their progress data. The buttons on the left-hand side ofthe screen allow students to check their progress, choose their own stylepreferences, and more.

MY HOME: Access assigned practice activities and tests.MY PROGRESS: View the status and score for each assigned test andpractice activity.MY TOOLS: Set style preferences (i.e., choose an avatar and theme).LOGOUT: Log out of Test Practice and return to the Member Login page.Note: Users will be automatically logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity.

1. When you are ready to take a pretest* or posttest, you will select a test from the assignment list on the home page.

You will receive a number of questions based upon your state’s testing or curriculum standards for the selected subject area (e.g., language arts or math).

2. You select answer choice by clicking on the answer or typing the letter of the answer on the keyboard. If you wish to change an answer, you may simply select another answer choice. Click Next or press Enter/Return. If you wish to go back and change an answer, you simply click GO..., click on the number of a question to jump to it, and then click OK. Completed questions are indicated by a filled-in oval.

You may also click PREVIOUS to go to the previous question and change your answer, if desired You can also use the Go and Previous buttons to answer skipped questions.

Note: Unlike the practice activities, you will not receive feedback for a correct or incorrect answer.

* You must first take a pretest before practice activities appear on your assignment list.

Ending a TestIf you wish to end the test and come back to it at a later time, you may click STOP.• At the warning dialog, you may click

YES if sure you would like to quit, or you may click NO.

• The program will save your place, and you may finish it at a later time.

• A gold half-filled star icon will appear next to the test name on the home page and progress report to indicate that you too have started but have not yet finished the test.

At the end of a pretest or posttest, you may receive a warning if you have skipped any questions.• This dialog shows how many

questions were skipped.• You can click YES to return to the test

and answer any skipped questions, or you may click NO to go to the Score Summary screen.

• Any skipped questions will be counted as incorrect.

After finishing the test, you will be presented your score. The posttest may be taken multiple times in order to achieve the desired result. If the student achieved the minimum score required to play a game, you may select a reward game. You then click Next to begin the game.

High ScoresAt the end of a game, you will go to the Score Summary screen, whichwill display your game score as well as your score on the practice or test session you have just completed. If you achieve a high score on the game, you

will be congratulated.You may click View High Scores to go to the High Scores screen or click Next to return to the home page.The High Scores screen lists the top-ten scores as well as the all-time top tenscores for you. A rocket ship icon will be displayed by your name if you achieved a high score during this session. A dot indicates the current student’s other top-ten high scores.After viewing the high scores,you may click Next to return to the home page, where you may select another activity or test.

Exploring the Practice Activities1 To get started, you enter your

username and password at the Member Login page.

2 Click Login.3 Select a class, if necessary, and click

Continue.4 At the My Home page, click on the

individual tabs to access activities and tests assigned for each subject area.

The following icons indicate the status of a practice activity or test:

Viewing “My Progress” 1 You may click MY PROGRESS to view

the progress you have made on practice activities and tests. You may click on the

tabs to view progress for each subject area (i.e., language arts and math).

6 If inline games are enabled, you may choose a game to play, or you may choose Random to have the program choose one for you. Click Continue.

7 You will receive 10 practice questions. You may click on the circle next to your answer choice or type the letter of the correct answer using your keyboard, and then click Next or press Enter/Return. If you answer correctly, you are congratulated. Click Next to move to the next question, or, if the games are set to Inline mode, the student will get a chance to score on the game you have selected. If you answer incorrectly, you may receive a hint and will be able to try again. On the second incorrect answer, you will receive a brief explanation of the correct answer. If the games are set to Reward mode, you will be able to choose a game after you complete the

practice activity.Note: You may not go back to change an answer on a practice activity, and you may not skip questions.Warning: Practice activities are not bookmarked. If you click STOP before you complete all of the practice questions, the activity may be failed, indicated by a red circle under Status on your home page.

Choosing a Style

You may choose an avatar to personalize your Test Practice pages.1 Click MY TOOLS to go to the TOOLS

page.

2 Click Your Style.3 At the YOUR STYLE dialog, the

student may choose an avatar that will display on each Web page (i.e., Astronaut, Athlete, etc.). The student may click on an avatar style or type the beginning letter of the desired style to jump to that section.

4 Next, you may click on the icon of his or her desired character.
