    1/2

    1. What type of games do you play?

Usually I play RPG's, shooters (FPP/TPP) and platformers. Recently I have spent a fair

amount of time enjoying various indie games that were released during the last few years.

I am trying to keep up to speed with the latest AAA titles, but there have been so many greatreleases in the past few months that it is hard to find time to play all of them.

    2. What is your favorite game of all-time?

My favorite game is a jRPG Chrono Trigger (1995) for Super Nintendo Entertainment

    System.

    3. Why is this your favorite game?

Chrono Trigger is the first game I played, that had such an elaborate and immersive story full

of unexpected twists and well developed characters. It has a massive replay value since there

are 12 different endings available, so very often I found myself returning to this title and

trying a different approach to achieve a new outcome. The gameplay is quite complex withmultitude of different skills and spells that can be combined in various ways, but it is

presented in a very accessible fashion and is learned on the fly. Art style is the apex of 32 bit

era consisting of beautiful backgrounds, sprite characters and lively visual effects with

a vibrant musical score to match.

    4. Do you prefer console or PC games?I'm not a fan of any particular system, but I do prefer gaming on consoles over PC. Playing

with a controller feels much more natural and intuitive then mouse and keyboard. Even when

I launch a game on the PC, I connect my Xbox 360 controller and play with it because it's just

the best way to fully enjoy most of the titles. Besides a high-end PC, I also own a Nintendo

DSi, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable.

    5. If you could fix anything about your favorite game what would it have been?

For its time Chrono Trigger was virtually a perfect game that acclaimed international

recognition and many praises. I wouldn't change anything regarding the gameplay, but it did

had some major glitches that were obviously overlooked by the test team, which in some

cases led to loss of progress. They were easily reproducible in certain circumstances and as

such they should not have been present in the final, shipped version of the title.

    6. Tell me about your experience working with, or playing games on the Unreal Engine.

Playing:I have completed a wide area of titles released on all three versions of the Unreal Engine.

Unreal, Unreal Tournament 2004, Deus Ex, Postal 2, Deadlight, Mirror's Edge and full

franchises such as Bioshock, Batman, Gears of War, Borderlands, Mass Effect being just

some of them. All of the above are highly enjoyable titles that can be recommended to

    anyone.

    Working:

I have tested two games based on Unreal Engine. One was Silent Hill: Downpour by Vatra

Games and the second one is not yet released so my NDA forbids me from disclosing any

    additional details.

On SH: Downpour besides regular testing runs, I used many debug console commands

provided by the developer that allowed me better control of the gaming environment whichresulted in many bugs that may have been overlooked otherwise.

    7. Imagine that we were shipping a felt pen with the name of our game written on the side of

it, and you're the sole tester responsible for ensuring that this pen will work anywhere in the

world and that it makes people happy. What are the test scenarios that you'd run on this pen

to ensure that it was to quality?

When I'm assigned a testing task, I always present myself with a set of questions that cover

the basic functionalities of my test subject. Starting with more general ones I continue onto

more detailed specifications. Please refer to the list of test cases that I would perform

    regarding this felt pen.

    - Can the pen write properly on different types of surface (i.e. paper, plastic, glass, metal,

    wood) ?

    - To what extent does the ink soak through the paper?

    - How much text or how many drawings can be produced before the ink runs out?

    - Does the pen write properly in different air pressure setting (i.e. simulating high mountains,

plains) ?- Does the pen write properly in different air humidity setting (i.e. simulating desert, seaside,

    tropical forest) ?

    - Does the pen write properly in different air temperature setting (i.e. simulating harsh winter,

    hot summer) ?

    - Does the pen write properly under water?

    - Does the pen write properly with different pressure strength applied to it (i.e. used by a

    child, adult, elderly) ?

    - Is the game logo easily readable?

    - Is the game logo artwork wipe resistant (i.e. pen used with wet/sweaty hands, treated with

    chemical solvent) ?

    - Does the game logo artwork fade away when left in the sun for extended amount of time?

    - Is the cap size big enough not to be swallowed by children?

    - Does the pen remain its properties after freezing (i.e. putting in the freezer for an extended

    amount of time) ?

    - Does the pen remain its properties after treated with high temperatures (i.e. putting in the

    oven or microwave) ?

    - Does the pen remain its properties after mechanical stress (i.e. striking with a hammer,

    dropping from high altitude) ?

    - Is the ink used in the pen hypoallergenic?

    - Is the ink easily removed from skin or clothes with basic cleaning supplies?

    - How fast does the tip dry off when left without the cap for extended amount of time?
