• extreme temperatures (above 100° F) • vibration • limited ventilation • other potential hazards (working with high pressure instrumentation)

b. Frequent exposure and/or proximity to: • noise sufficient enough to require shouting to be heard • moving mechanical parts • electrical current • steam • working on scaffolding or in high places • chemicals (ammonia, chlorine, carbon dioxide, refrigerants, cleaning

SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL HAVE:

- Possession of a High School Diploma/GED or an Associate’s degree in Electronics or Instrumentation. Apprenticeship program with a minimum of three (3) years of on the job training is acceptable.

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and maintaining process instrumentation for measuring and controlling flow, pressure, temperature and level.

- Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail

NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING Position Title: Process Engineer Department: Engineering Location: Verdigris Complex Reports to: Engineering Manager

Job Summary: The Process Engineer is responsible to ensure that the plants are operating at their optimum efficiency and that improvement or modification projects are implemented where warranted and in accordance with good engineering practices. The role will provide technical support and service to operations as directed. Additionally, this position will collaborate with other engineers throughout CF Industries to share best practices and execute a world class engineering program at the Verdigris Complex.

Job Responsibilities: 1. Ensures the process is operated in a safe and environmentally compliant manner and endeavors to

enhance and protect the safety of plant employees. 2. Provides a good knowledge and understanding of the operating principles and procedures for various

process equipment and the effects of process parameters on production. Identifies sources of plant issues and recommends solutions to maintain safe operations; Supports operations personnel in areas requiring technical assistance.

3. Monitors key operating parameters to identify trends and recommend changes. Examples include turbine and compressor efficiencies, cooling water surveys, catalyst surveys, DCS trends, and laboratory results.

4. Provides a working knowledge of the maintenance activities in order to determine what can be done while on-stream and what must be deferred to a shutdown period.

5. Provides detailed engineering support to monitor and progress the Management of Change process. Assists in training operations personnel on process changes

6. Coordination of all assigned Process Safety Management activities such as a) assisting in the development and organization of Process Safety Information, b) participating in Process Hazard Analyses and LOPA studies, c) participating in incident investigations, d) developing and maintaining Standard Operating Conditions and Limits, e) providing resolution to recommendations.

7. Actively participates in turnaround and/or plant shutdown activities, including planning, implementation and verification stages.

Internal Controls: Ensures established processes/procedures are followed as designed. Works with Internal Controls Department to identify deficiencies in existing processes/procedures, the need for new ones, and the extent to which such processes/procedures are being followed. Develops and implements corrective actions with regard to department internal controls as necessary.

Required Qualifications: 1. BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering. 2. Experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environment subject to the OSHA 1910.119

Process Safety Management (PSM) regulation; preferred candidate to have a minimum of three (3) years experience

3. Solid communication skills including the ability to effectively converse in English, compose written documents and interact effectively with peers and supervisors.

4. Familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards.

Jones Incumbent: None Approvals: Location: Verdigris Hourly Position: No Job Summary: The rotating equipment maintenance engineer is responsible for achieving world-class reliability for plant fixed and rotating equipment. This individual will provide technical leadership and support to the maintenance department to drive root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop corrective action plans. This individual is expected to find solutions collaboratively across departments within the site. The rotating equipment maintenance engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance plan in alignment with the site’s mechanical integrity program and reliability initiatives. Principle Accountabilities:

1. Lead by example and coaches safety to others; supporting plant safety initiatives

2. Assist with the PSM Mechanical Integrity program as it relates to fixed equipment, rotating equipment, instrumentation and controls and emergency shutdown systems for the Verdigris Nitrogen Complex. Assist in developing and supporting the continual improvement of the site’s Computerized Maintenance Management System as it relates to the mechanical integrity program and reliability initiatives.

3. Perform technical investigations on plant equipment failures, documenting the results and collaboratively making recommendations to resolve issues following a standard root cause analysis method. Monitor the condition of critical equipment in the plant through the use of continuous vibration monitoring and condition monitoring equipment, oil analysis results, process data, and thermographic surveys.

4. Lead in the review of all new rotating and reciprocating equipment prior to purchase and recommend proper selections including spare parts lists. Routinely review predictive maintenance analysis of all large rotating machines, keep up-to-date records of vibration base line data, vibration trends and alignment data and recommend corrective action as required to maintain equipment integrity.

5. Maintain the Bently Nevada System1 data acquisition system and coordinate training to maintain a base of expertise of vibration analysis knowledge in the maintenance department

6. Serve as the mechanical acceptance representative on newly installed plant rotating equipment to assure proper installation and that the equipment will be mechanically reliable when accepted and have the correct spare parts in the warehouse.

7. Design Preventive Maintenance Programs for all critical items of machinery and equipment and lubrication programs for all plant machinery. Responsible for the implementation of these programs, monitoring the effectiveness of the program, and making modifications as necessary.

8. Update and maintains a Lubrication Manual containing lubricant specifications and lubricating instructions for all plant machinery including electric and steam drivers.

9. Prepare and assist the planning team on work orders relating to approved preventive maintenance programs, together with the related checklists, instruction sheets, and other material defining the work to be done, the frequency of execution and, where pertinent, the sequence of steps to be followed.

10. Perform analyses of pertinent management information reports and equipment histories for the purpose of identifying items of machinery and rotating equipment with high maintenance costs or with lubrication problems and makes recommendations for corrective action. Follow through to see that corrective actions are implemented on efficient and effective timelines.

11. Assist the Maintenance Engineering Superintendent and Planner with pre-planning of all planned turnarounds, shutdowns, and special projects including timing, accumulation of job lists, ordering of parts and materials, sequencing of jobs around a critical path, sizing of work crews based on job estimation, and preparation of an overall schedule. During the execution of these projects, monitor and advise the Maintenance Engineering Superintendent of the progress of the work.

12. Promote the standardization throughout the plant of such widely used items as pumps, valves, instruments, etc., to simplify maintenance work, standardize work methods, reduce Stores inventory, and reduce manufacturing cost.

13. Communicate with production management on problems relating to mechanical failures and facilitate collaborative problem solving.

14. Directs the maintenance of the department’s technical files on equipment, vendor

products library and industrial codes.

Job Qualifications:

1. Requires a Bachelor’s degree; preferably in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of industry related experience.

2. Experience in a plant environment is preferred.

3. Strong knowledge of vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, and condition monitoring required. Certification in these techniques is preferred.

4. Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

5. Communication and presentation skills to communicate complex problem solving to key stake holders.

6. Specific knowledge-background in rotating and reciprocating equipment; vibration analyses; fluids product handling; electrical systems; regulatory design codes (pressure vessels, piping codes, building codes); OSHA regulations; manpower coordination.
