Synopsis

“You stay down by day, but at night you can move around. The H-K's use infra-red, so you still have to watch out.”

“H-K’s?”

“Hunter-Killers. Patrol machines. Built in automated factories. Most of us were rounded up, put in camps... for orderly disposal. Some of us were kept alive... to work. Loading bodies. The disposal units ran night and day. We were that close to going out forever...”

Kyle Reese, Sarah’s protector in the first movie, showed us a glimpse of a post-apocalyptic future. He told about a war, and about a man that would become the leader of the Human Resistance in a fight against SKYNET, a super computersystem that launched a global nuclear attack on mankind.

A dark story, written in the style of the original Terminator movie, tells about life during the future war. The Human Resistance, under the leadership of John Connor, fights back against the deadly machines of SKYNET.

As the Resistance finds a possible way to stop SKYNET, some unexpected things happen. The Resistance must fight for what it’s worth to retrieve back the earth that was once theirs.

A few notes before reading; There’s a lot of debate going on about the date of T2. Did it happen in 1994 or

in 1995? In my script I have used the year 1994. Another thing is the date of Judgment Day in T3. I have used the date July 25th

2004.

Five alternate/omitted scenes can be found on the last pages of this script.

Some commentary is given in this script by the yellow marked lines. Read them if you are interested in more background info.

DISSOLVE TO:

001 – INT. – State Hospital – Los Angeles – July 25th 2004 – DAY

A man, sitting in a waiting room, is reading a newspaper. The room is painted white, giving rest to the people in it.

ANGLE ON the date at the page of the newspaper. It says “25 July 2004”.

A blond female psychologist, about 27 years old, in the beginning of her career, walks by.

A male orderly rushes to her. He gives her some papers, a file cover. As they both walk she starts to read the file while he starts to talk.

Male orderly:We just got this one.

Female psychologist:Fill me in.

Male orderly:We can’t elicit his name. He is just mumbling. Maurice said that he was a known shrink, until something happened to him in 1994. Maurice couldn’t recall his name.

The female psychologist keeps reading in the file.

Male orderly:The guy is totally freaked out. Telling about the end of the world and other weird stuff.

Female psychologist:Who is he?

Male orderly:Some post-trauma counselor. They picked him up at the Valley of Peace Cemetery. Found him somewhere between the tombstones.

The female psychologist closes the file. She smiles as she sees an opportunity for success.

Female psychologist:Maybe I can make a career out of this guy.

They walk into a sort of interrogation room, guarded by an attendant.

001ATHE CAMERA FOLLOWS the female psychologist on her back to reveal Dr. Peter Leonard Silberman, tied in a strait-jacket, sitting on a chair in the room.In the corner of the room stands an other attendant.A stroke of light shines through a small window.

Peter Silberman (mumbling):…Oh my God, she was right…

Female psychologist:Who?

Silberman looks the female psychologist straight into her eyes. She recognizes the face but she can’t place the right name by it.

Peter Silberman:It was all true… We’re all gonna die…

A digital clock, hanging above the door in the room, shows the time changing from 18:17 to 18:18.

Female psychologist:Stay calm and tell me everything.

Peter Silberman gets more frustrated.

Peter Silberman:You think I’m crazy, don’t you?I’m not crazy! I’m a former psychologist, Goddamnit. I’m not having a psychotic episode. I know these things.

Suddenly, the female psychologist recognizes the man. Dr. Silberman, a criminal psychologist who started to make a career around 1984 in a small hospital. He started to work for Pescadero’s State Hospital in 1987. She had met him once, some years ago.

Female psychologist:Relax. Just calm down. You’re Peter Silberman, right?

Silberman nods.

Female psychologist:What happened on the graveyard?

Peter Silberman:A cyborg from the future. It came back… for the third time in twenty years already! Always hunting me.

The female psychologist writes something down in the file. A brief smile appears on her face. She is definitely going to make a career out of the poor man.

Peter Silberman:The machines, they will take over. There will be a war… between men and machines...

Peter Silberman looks at her writing, as he notices that she is writing down that he has been traumatized. Writing down about some fear for machines. Silberman is flipping, raving.

Peter Silberman:Me? Traumatized? I’m a post-trauma counselor for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department… I can’t have a trauma, I deal with them!

Silberman doesn’t realize that he, the post-trauma counselor, has been traumatized by the visits of the Terminators from the future over the years that passed.

The female psychologist looks in the file again.Silberman stands up wildly, knocking the chair on the ground. Moving with spasm with his hand in the strait-jacket.

Peter Silberman:We’re all going to die. I tell you… We’re all…

Silberman looks up at the window as he notices something in the sky. A small dot that quickly becomes bigger. His jaw hits the ground as he suddenly realizes the incoming terror.

Peter Silberman (whispering):I’m sorry, Connor.

001BA missile strikes with high speed at the ground. The State Hospital is blasted away by the nuclear shock wave.

001CA city is bombed as a nuclear missile drops on it.

001DImages of the missile attack.Images of cities burning all over the countries.The image of death.

002 – EXT. – The world – Nuke missile attack/Judgment Day – July 25th 2004 – DAY

The world is burning.

John Connor (voice-over):It all came down on a Sunday in July of 2004. Pretty normal day, except for the end of the world part. My father and mother had warned about Judgment Day; the day mankind was nearly destroyed by the weapons they build to protect themselves. We tried to prevent it, but it was inevitable…

A city is destroyed by the hit of another missile.

John Connor (voice-over):SKYNET, a super computersystem build back in the days for the military, had decided about man’s fate in a microsecond. Extermination was its conclusion. A global nuclear attack was the next step. It wiped out more than 3 billion human lives.

All over the world, the missiles are doing great damage. Destroying as much human life as it can do.

John Connor (voice-over):Afterward it got cold. Real cold. Nuclear winter they called it.

During this voice-over the camera shows us the start of the post-apocalyptic world. The smoke of the fire colors the sky black. Nuclear snow covers the ground.

003 – EXT. – Factory – Los Angeles – January 12th 2012 – NIGHT

John Connor (voice-over):

For some years the only thing we could do was to lay low and hide in the dark, stay underground for years. Waiting for the radiation to subside. The Dark Years were exhausting. The few that had survived, starved...

The CAMERA MOVES to a destroyed city.While the buildings are burning, the CAMERA MOVES over a wasteland covered with skulls and bones, like years passes in this instant moment.

A freezing wind blows through the desolation, keening with the sound of ten million dead souls.

John Connor (voice-over):The few that survived that, saw the Machines rise up... machines of many types but with one purpose... to hunt us down and kill us all like a bunch of cockroaches...

A title card fades in:“January 12th 2012, Los Angeles”

A second title card fades in: “8 years after Judgment Day”

The CAMERA MOVES to reveal a primitive Aerial Hunter-Killer flying over a factory that seems to be in work. This Aerial Hunter-Killer is an upgraded version of the first drone version created by Cyber Research Systems. It’s a bit bigger and has two machineguns at each wing.

The alien architecture of the factory threatens us.

The CAMERA MOVES CLOSER until we see two red dots appear in a shadow. A T-400 steps out of the shadows. One of SKYNET latest inventions. Its movements are slow, stiffly and not so flexible. It has a thin armour-plating. More T-400’s appear at the factory, all equipped with miniguns.

John Connor (voice-over):If not killed, SKYNET often used captured humans as slave labor, loading bodies into the incinerators.We did everything we could to thwart the Terminator reproductions.

003ANIGHTVISION P.O.V. aimed at the T-400’s in front of the factory. We see the T-400’s walking around the factory through the night vision of enhanced field glasses.

On the background we hear a male voice.

Male voice (through walkie-talkie):We have destroyed their communication systems.Only four units on our side. Armed with machine guns. Are we’re gonna continue with this one?

The CAMERA MOVES AWAY from the enhanced field glasses to show us John Connor, 27 years old, leader of the Human Resistance against the machines of SKYNET. John thinks and then nods to a female with the walkie-talkie.

Female (speaks into walkie-talkie):Affirmative. Everything in accordance with the plan.

Nine other humans are standing behind John, waiting for a signal... afraid. They carry different machineguns. Most are made before the war started. Some are enhanced to do more damage.

003BThe T-400’s walk systematically in front of the building, scooping the environment for unwelcome visitors.Suddenly an object lands by the metal feet of one of the T-400’s. It’s a satchel-charge. The robot looks down, but the explosive destroys the unit. A burst of bullets hit the front armour of a T-400 that survived the explosion. Although damaged by the explosion, it takes some hits to put this T-400 down.

003CFrom three sides humans storm on the factory. They are shooting at the T-400’s with their machine guns. Although the Terminators take many hits, they are still hard to destroy. The machines start to fire back slowly at the humans, who dive away and try to avoid the bullets. A man is hit in his shoulder and falls down on the cold hard ground.

The CAMERA FOCUSSED on the ground while a T-400 drops on the ground.

Men are firing their guns at the machines, while standing next to some dead bodies that were their fellows in this attack.

The last mechanical guard drops on the ground. The red light in its eyes dies away. The head is totally destroyed by bullets.

CAMERA PANS UP to reveal John Connor, the one who shot the last unit back to junk.

Man:Be prepared, phase two starts.

All the humans reload their weapons. They take the weapons from the dead humans and machines. They bare their crosses to their dead comrades.

John Connor (angry):To avenge them who died for this!

Scarred man:Revenge!

A technician takes his gear to hack the door.

CUT TO:

004 – INT. – Factory – Los Angeles – January 12th 2012 – NIGHT

The humans rush into the factory as they break the doors open. Immediately followed by the sound of gunfire and people dying. Among the incinerators, mechanical guards are hit while they try to kill the humans.

The machines know they’re losing this factory. The number of fighting machines is too less and the communication with the SKYNET mainframe has been cut of. The only thing to do is to kill as much humans as possible… attackers and slaves.

Underfed human slaves, marked by a laser-scan, run around in panic, trying not be shot by the machines or unknown attackers. Some of them get hit and fall on the floor.

John and the attackers move systematically to destroy every machine. There try to drive the machines away from the slaves.

More machines are destroyed in the fight. More humans also.

Among the slaves are an eight year old boy and his father. They are trying to hide from the machines, when a T-300 unit appears behind them. John Connor and some attackers shoot at the unit. The unit fires back and tries to shoot the kid, but the father throws himself on his child. The T-300 hits the father. The father drops lifeless on the floor, followed by the T-300 unit. Red blood covers the floor. The boy throws himself at his father and start to shout at him.

In the background there is still some gunfire as some attackers take out the last machines in the factory.

004AThe attackers are checking out their comrades. Bandaging the wounded. A female slave walks frightened to one of the attackers.

Female slave:Who are you?

One of the attackers:We are part of the Human Resistance.

004BJohn stares at the young boy with his dead father. The boy turns to him and John sees tears running over the boy’s face.

John Connor:I’m so sorry. I…

Young boy:It wasn’t your fault... You did all you could.

John falls on his knees and embraces the child.

John Connor:What is your name?

Young boy:Kyle.

John takes a breath and looks the boy in his eyes. There are still some tears in the boy’s eyes.

John Connor:Kyle Reese?

Young boy (sad, a little surprised):Yes. How did you know?

John Connor:You just remembered me of someone.Where is your mother?

Young boy:She died some years ago. I just…

A tear falls down of John’s eye. Finally he has met his father. After all these years of waiting… this boy is his father he has freed from the machines. And now Kyle’s father has died, the boy doesn’t have anyone, anymore.

John Connor:It’s okay. You’re safe now.

John reaches in his pocket to grab some folded paper. He takes the boy’s hand and places the paper in it. Kyle looks at his hand and unfolds the paper. It’s the Polaroid photo of Sarah Connor, carried along by John for many years.

John Connor:Whenever you are feeling sad or lonely, just take a look at this picture. It’s my mother Sarah and this picture will give you hope.

Kyle understands and nods. There is something with this woman. It fascinates him.

CAMERA FOCUSSED on photo and DISSOLVE INTO:

005 – MAIN CREDITS

The post-apocalypse wasteland. Years passes by as the CAMERA MOVES along. An Aerial Hunter-Killer appears and flies over a destroyed city, searching for human life.

005AThe same Aerial Hunter-Killer seen from the ground, flies over. A metal feet fills

the screen.

CAMERA PANS UP to reveal a Centurion, a four-legged gun-pod, walking over a destroyed area and firing to something offscreen. Then it turns to the screen and fires again (at the screen this time). Its firing stops and something explodes in the background of it.

A title card fades in:“July 9th, 2029”“17 years later”

DISSOLVE fire explosion INTO:

006 – INT. – Crystal Peak – Los Angeles – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

The Polaroid photo of Sarah, held in the hands of a 25 years old Kyle Reese.

CAMERA MOVES over his shoulder to reveal the fallout shelter Crystal Peak.

Kyle Reese sits on something that is used as a bed and stares at the picture, thinking what Sarah is thinking of.

006AA door sweeps open and a male soldier walks in. It is Sumner, one of Reese’s teammates and a good friend.

Sumner:Briefing starts in a moment. Ready to go?

Kyle Reese:Yeah… I’m coming.

Sumner:Still dreaming of that photo?

Kyle Reese:None of your business.

Sumner smiles briefly. Kyle puts the photo in his pocket and follows his teammate as they walk out of the

door.

CUT TO:

007 – INT. – Main hall – Crystal Peak – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

More people live now in the chaos inside the fallout shelter. Children are running between the adults that are talking to each other. Talking about life. Talking about death. Talking about how to survive. More rooms have been created in the shelter. Piece of rock are removed for other rooms.There are rooms for food, rooms for weapons, rooms for vehicles, rooms for dogs, rooms for computers, etc.

The humans have trouble to survive. Not much food. The little space. The machines hunting for them. The knowledge that victory is something you don’t speak about, but only dream of.

CUT TO:

008 – INT. – John Connor’s room – Crystal Peak – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

John Connor sits on a chair in a small private room. He is tired. To have the weight of the world on your shoulders has its effect. He takes some old aspirins. John’s wife Katherine Brewster walks to him and stands behind him, massaging his shoulders. Kate, as John’s spouse, still uses her own last name. They are not official married, something that is impossible in this hard time. But they are man and wife, committed for life.

They share a little kiss.

Kate Brewster:You okay, hon?

John Connor:It could be better…Bêta company is killed in an ambush. They had not the ghost of a change.

Kate looks down. More sad news in these dark times.

Kate Brewster:What’s on your mind?

John takes a deep breath.

Kate Brewster:It is taking too much from you, John. You should take some rest. I can see it.

John Connor:No, I can’t. I have to do this. It is my destiny. If I won’t do it, who will..?

Kate Brewster:Why are you doing this to yourself?

John Connor:I’m doing this for you. You and Sarah give me hope and strength. You are the reason that I want to live and fight. You are the ones so I can look myself in the eyes because I have sent already hundreds to their deaths. I want you to see the sunlight without the machines. That you both can safely walk on this earth and enjoy the sky.

John stands up.

John Connor:Also, our son didn’t die for nothing, my mother didn’t die for nothing. All these men and women didn’t die for nothing.

Now it is Kate who takes a deep breath. They have had this discussion too many times.

Kate knows. John knows.

John Connor:Is Sarah already to bed?

Kate Brewster: Yeah. I had a hard time with her. She is becoming a stubborn.

John walks to Sarah’s door and silently opens it. We see a sixteen years old girl sleeping in bed. It’s John’s and Kate’s daughter Sarah.John smiles.

John Connor (to Kate):She’s like my mother. She has the same fighting spirit and resolution.

Kate Brewster:Any news from our son?

John Connor:Joey is in the cave hideout, organizing attacks on SKYNET’s resource supplies. He didn’t had much news, but he sends his love.

John walks to the door.

John Connor:We have to go. Alex told me he had some good news.

Kate Brewster:Why? What is it about?

John Connor:I don’t know. We have to talk to our TechCom Forces.

Kate Brewster:Please John. Can’t this be on another time? You have already been up for what… 23 hours?

John Connor:Alex said it was important. Maybe he found something?

Kate knows she has nothing to bring in about this case. It has John’s full attention.

Kate Brewster:For the sunlight then.

John Connor:For you.

Kate stands up and walks out of the door. John closes the door.

CUT TO:

009 – INT. – Briefing room – Crystal Peak – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

Two teams of soldiers sit on old wooden tables. Kyle Reese is among them. They are waiting for instructions for their mission.

Soldier Sumner:Hey Reese, what do you think that we have do this time?

Kyle Reese:My guess… Probably reckon.

Soldier Myrthe:Yeah. You may be right about that. Or search and rescue…

A man walks in. His left eye is covered with a black patch. This man looks wise and hardened by the war. He wears an insignia of rank. The name stitched on the band of his beret is “Perry”. He is followed by two armed soldiers and a dog. The dog sniffles at everyone to check if there’s an infiltrator among them. No sign of an infiltrator, and the two soldiers and the dog leave the room.

Justin Perry:I replace General Connor for this briefing. He has an important meeting.Alpha company is present?

Sumner:Complete and present, sir.

Justin Perry:Bravo company?

Kyle Reese:Ready, sir.

Justin Perry:Alpha co., your codename is Yankee-One-Seven.Bravo co., yours is Hometown-Nine-Two.This week’s armband color is dark green.

The soldiers put a dark green armband on their clothing.

Justin Perry:Now let’s talk business. Both teams will operate together…

Trivia; if you listen carefully in the future flashback in T1, you can hear when Reese comes home, a voice on a radio, that says that Yankee-One-Seven is clear to return.


CUT TO:

010 – INT. – Main hall – Crystal Peak – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

Kate and John appear in the main hall. They are saluted smartly by everyone they encounter, though they wear no insignia of rank.

They walk to the room with computers. The door is guarded by two male guards. They are both tall and powerfully built. They salute John and Kate.

Guard #1 Frank:You okay, general? You look pale.

John Connor:Hey Frank, just holding up… like always.

Frank gives him a brief smile.The second guard opens the heavy locked door for them. John and Kate enter the room and the guards close the door.

011 – INT. – Computer room – TechCom Forces – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

The room is filled with computers and all that kind of stuff. A group humans is working with the computers. This room is heart of technology of the Human Resistance. In this room everything is organized to watch everything that happens outside. Computers are monitoring the events above the ground and by the entrances.

In this room, the TechCom Forces are at work.

A man, about 22 years old, walks to them. His name is Alex. He’s a TechCom technician. He is the leader of this division of TechCom Forces.

Alex:John. Kate. Glad you could make it.

Kate Brewster:Everything okay here?

Alex:As good as could be in these days.

John Connor:You said it was important, so what do you’ve got for me?

Alex:It is working John! The chip. We’ve finally done it.

Kate Brewster:What are you talking about?

Alex:I’ll show you.

Alex turns away and walks to a corner. John and Kate follow him. All eyes of the humans in that room are focussed on them.They walk to a computer connected with wires that lead to something under a

blanket.

011AAlex:You have already met, so there’s no need for introduction.

The TechCom technicians start to smile of excitement.

Alex takes the blanket and pulls it away to reveal… a damaged head of an Endoskeleton. Wires are connected to its CPU. It eyes start to burn.

CAMERA FOCUSSES IN on the metal head with bright red burning eyes.

DISSOLVE TO:

012 – INT. – Crystal Peak – Flashback – 2009 – NIGHT

A young John Connor and Katherine Brewster are working their way out of the fallout shelter. The entrance was destroyed by the T-850 Terminator in 2004. Now they are trying to retrieve it, in order to get out of the shelter if necessary... to find more humans.Sweat is on John’s forehead, while Kate takes a seat on a rock.

John Connor:The radiation should be gone by now.

Kate Brewster:Hope you’re right about that.

John Connor:Me too.

He smiles to her and she smiles back.

John takes a shovel and starts to work further. After three more moves, the shovel hits something. It makes a hollow sound.

John Connor:Strange…

Kate stands up.

Kate Brewster:What is it?

John Connor:Don’t know for sure.

He uses the shovel to clear the rock around it. He then puts the shovel away and his hand picks something up…the damaged Endoskeleton head of the T-850 Terminator.

John lifts it with one hand and looks straight into its eyes.

Kate Brewster:Oh my God.

John looks at Kate. Both are surprised.

John Connor:

Should it still work?

He turns to the head and looks again into the dead eyes.

DISSOLVE TO:

013 – INT. – Computer room – TechCom Forces – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

Alex and Kate are looking at John.

Kate Brewster:It is the head of the Terminator, right?

John nods.

John Connor (to Alex):Are you saying that the plan could work after all?

Alex:It is possible. We have done some repairs on it.We only need a complete Endoskeleton, if we’re gonna try it.

John Connor (thinking):Let’s do this.Good job Alex.

Alex:Thank you sir.

The TechCom technicians smile.

John Connor (to all):Good job men.

Kate Brewster:It’s about virus, isn’t it?

Alex:Now we’ve finally got this thing working…

He points to the damaged T-850 Endoskeleton head.

Alex:…so ‘Brainz’ started to work on the virus.

013AThey move over to a man who’s working on the computer with all the wires and

circuits.Behind the computer is a man about 27 years old. His name is Vic, nicknamed ‘Brainz’ by many of his TechCom fellows because of his knowledge of computer stuff. He’s very busy with programming, but knows what is going on the room. As John, Alex and Kate stand by him, he looks up.

Vic:The machines have two operation modes: rogue and hive. In hive-mode, the machines get directly instructions from the mainframe. In rogue-mode, the machines function on their own. They’re independent. They only get back once in a while to download new information from the mainframe.

Now, we need a machine that’s in rogue-mode, so it will go back to download new info. Once the mainframe starts to upload some new info. the virus will attack.

John Connor:What about detection before it reaches the download terminal?

Vic:The virus won’t be detected in the head. It will start at the moment the Mainframe here in L.A. uploads and downloads the new info. Then it will start its attack and infect all the systems…

Kate Brewster:…and slowly infect the SKYNET Mainframe in Cheyenne Mountain Colorado.

Alex:Yep... That’s the plan.

John Connor:How long will it take to infect the SKYNET Mainframe?

Vic:One hour… approximately. After infection in the L.A. Mainframe.

Alex:The SKYNET Mainframe is connected with all its divisions. So it shouldn’t take too long.

John Connor:How’s the virus?

The briefing is over. The soldiers are leaving the room.

Soldier Myrthe:Great. A reckon and S&R mission.

Soldier Paul:Well. It’s better than guarding the gates for all night.

John Connor walks in. Every soldier salutes him and he salutes back. The soldiers move further to start their mission.

John Connor:Good luck. Come back in one piece.

John smiles to Reese. Since John saved Reese from the factory, Reese started to see John as a kind of father figure. They can get along quite good. Connor sees a lot of himself in Reese.

Every soldier has left the room. Only John and Perry remain.

Justin Perry:And John. How are the worries?

John Connor:There is a little hope now in these desperate times.Still busy clearing up my head.

Justin Perry:What’s the problem?

John Connor:Remember when I told you about the third Terminator that was sent back ? I told you also about my protector.

Justin Perry:The upgraded model? The T-850 you mean?

John Connor:Yeah… that one.

John takes a deep breath.

John Connor:He said.

Justin Perry:He…?

John Connor:…*It*... *It* said that he would kill me, in the year 2032.

Justin Perry:What is the problem? We can prevent it.

John Connor:That’s not the point. He said that he was captured by Kate after he killed

me.

Justin Perry:Go on.

John Connor:You see… the problem is.. If we prevent my death… will this machine still be sent back to protect me? Will it still be captured and reprogrammed?

Justin Perry:Probably… like you taught us;The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.

John Connor:I need it. We might have found a way to stop SKYNET.I will tell you about it… in time.

Justin Perry:Okay John. You’re the boss. I can arrange a team right now, the gamma company.

John Connor:They’re are just a bunch of kids! How old are these kids? Thirteen? Fourteen?

Justin Perry:You’re close.

John Connor:I can’t forgive myself to send these kids into that hell.Will they even stand a chance?

Justin Perry:I know John. But in times like this, we don’t have much choice.And sorry, but my best team is already gone out, including Reese.

John understands he has to send these kids. Someone has to try to receive an Endoskeleton, and he doesn’t want the risk of losing Reese.

John Connor:How is Reese by the way?

Justin Perry:He doesn’t know. (He doesn’t have a clue.)

John Connor:That’s good.

Justin Perry:Still having doubts?

John Connor:Not about Reese. Only time will tell if he will volunteer. But about the missions. If something goes wrong, he could die…

Justin Perry:But on the other hand, he has to learn to fight the hard fight. To survive in the wilderness. Otherwise he doesn’t have a chance you mean?

John Connor:You’re probably right… somehow.

Justin Perry:Go back to your wife, and take some rest.

They both smile.John walks to the door. Perry stays in the room.

John Connor:Send the gamma company. Pray to God they’ll survive it.

016 – EXT. – Battlefield – Wasteland – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

A group of soldiers moves on the battlefield. They are a ragtag guerilla army, scooping carefully the environment for machines. Their weapons are machineguns and plasma guns. The machineguns were created by the Resistance, while the plasma guns were collected from destroyed Terminators. Kyle Reese is one the soldiers.

They’ve been walking around for some hours. Walking between the wreckages of cars in what once was a little city. Buildings are destroyed.

Soldier Sumner:

We’ve been walking here for hours. Shall we return?

Soldier Paul:Yeah… let’s go home. I don’t think we will find something.

Soldier Sumner:Let’s vote!

Soldier Myrthe (silently):Wait... listen.

They all are standing very still, listening for strange sounds.Sumner freezes, looking scared at one point in the far distance.

Soldier Sumner:Oh shit...

Everyone looks into the direction. Red dots are coming at them.

Kyle Reese:Terminators!

016AFrom behind a building, T-800 Endoskeletons appear and walk directly towards them. The T-800 Endoskeletons start to fire with their plasma rifles.

016BThe soldiers dive away. They hide behind the wreckages. A few soldiers take aim and fire back. The T-800 Endoskeletons get hit by the normal machineguns, but walk further like nothing is happening.

016CSoldier Paul takes his plasma gun and fires. He hits a T-800 Endoskeleton’s arm. The arm falls off but the T-800 Endoskeleton continuous to walk further, not bothered. The T-800 Endoskeleton shoots back and hits soldier Paul fatally. He dies immediately.

016DAnother soldier tosses a grenade. The T-800 Endoskeletons don’t even step aside for the grenade. The grenade explodes.THE CAMERA TAKES A LOW SHOT from the ground, as an T-800 Endoskeleton’s head drops on the ground, it eyes still burning. A metal feet fills the frame, as the next T-800 Endoskeleton strives further.The red eyes die away.

016EReese and Sumner hide behind a car.

Kyle Reese:How come we didn’t see them coming?

Soldier Sumner:Beats me. But there are too many of them. We must fall back.

Kyle Reese (screaming):Retreat! We must retreat! Hide in the buildings… Now!

The two teams fall back. They both run to the nearest buildings, trying to hide for the coming forces.

Soldier Myrthe:We must split up.

Soldier Jack:She’s right. We have a bigger chance of survival.

Soldier Sumner:Both teams, follow your leader.

One team follows Sumner, while the other follows Reese. They both run into different directions. Soldier Jack shouts to Reese before he follows his leader Sumner.

Soldier Jack (shouting):I’ll contact HQ.

Reese nods. Does his “thumbs up” gesture.They move further.

018 – EXT. – Destroyed city – Wasteland – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

The T-800 Endoskeletons are coming closer.They arrive in the center of the city, the place where Reese’s and Sumner’s teams

are hiding.

CUT TO:


Sumner and his team climb the stairs of a building. They walk carefully into a room and spot some humans in a dark corner. There are two women, a girl and three men.

We know one of the men. He is heavy build. We have seen him in the T1, in a future flashback.

The innocuous, rag-dressed man:Please, don’t hurt us.

Sumner’s team lowers their guns.

The T-800 Endoskeletons are scanning the environment for human life.The T-800 Endoskeleton's glowing red eyes compassionlessly sweep the dead

terrain, hunting.

From the inside of an other ruin building, Reese and his teammates spot the T-800 Endoskeletons scanning the environment. The teammates takes their positions to oversee the area quickly.

Kyle Reese (through walke-talkie):Sumner, everything alright?

Voice soldat Sumner (through walkie-talkie):We found some people in one of the buildings. We’ll take them home.

Soldier Myrthe points to some buildings.

Soldier Myrthe (to Reese):They are probably in one of the buildings on the other side.

Kyle Reese (to Myrthe):Probably.

Kyle Reese takes his walkie-talkie to reply, but suddenly...


…Suddenly the ground starts to shake. An Ground Hunter-Killer appears from inside a building, riding through the walls of the building to assist the T-800 Endoskeletons.

022BFrom the other side appears a Centurion, walking on its four legs through the difficult passable road.

022CA bunch of kids dressed in rag tag military clothes enters the city from an other side. They are noticed by the Centurion, who kills them easy with its plasma riffles.


From inside, Reese’s team watches the Ground Hunter-Killer drive by. They hide as the Ground Hunter-Killer’s sensors scan the building through the gates and destroyed windows.

Kyle Reese (sad):The gamma company has perished.

Sumner’s voice (through walkie-talkie):Those kids? May God have their souls.Now, it’s every team for itself. We take our own ways to return home. Okay?

Kyle Reese:Okay, Sumner. Take care.

Sumner’s voice (through walkie-talkie):You too. See you at the HQ.

024 – EXT. – Ruin building – Wasteland – July 9th 2029 – NIGHT

A T-800 Endoskeleton passes a house and scans it.A sound comes from inside.

The T-800 Endoskeleton notices this and lifts its gun.A rat comes out of the gate (that once was a door).

The T-800 Endoskeleton takes a close look, then lowers its gun and shoots the rat.The only life allowed on the dead earth is the ‘life’ of a machine.

CUT TO:


Reese’s team is deciding what to do.

Soldier Myrthe:You go to the base. I’ll will buy you some time.

Kyle Reese:No, we all go. Out together, home togeth...

Soldier Franco (interrupting):No, she’s right. If we’ll all go, we’re all marked for death. I’ll stay here with

Myrthe.

Soldier Franco pushes Reese.

Soldier Myrthe:You must go and tell the HQ about it. Warn them.

Kyle Reese:No, there has to be an other way…

Soldier Myrthe smiles briefly.

Soldier Myrthe:Kyle, go! Now!

Some other soldiers take Reese and drag him away. Reese knows the two soldiers won’t make it. So do they.One of the soldiers gives soldier Myrthe a plasma gun and two pipe bombs.

Soldier:Good luck…

Soldier Myrthe:Good-bye…

Reese and his teammates climb through a hole in a city wall. They are leaving the city.In the background we can hear gunshots. Explosions light the sky..

Reese turns his head to city and looks back for one more time. Some of his best friends have died in this battle. He knows that sacrifices have to be made in a war.

Kyle Reese (into walkie-talkie):This is Hometown-Nine-Two. Request to return home.

The machines may have won this battle, but they won’t win the war. This thought goes through his head like a hurricane.

Male voice (through walkie-talkie):Request granted. Permission to return home.

A saddened Reese follows his teammates. He walks back to the base. Reese doesn’t want to talk to anyone. He just wants to do one thing… to look at Sarah’s Polaroid photo.

027 – INT. – John’s room – Crystal Peak – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/VERY EARLY MORNING

John roughly wakes up from a nightmare. Kate turns to him.

Kate Brewster:Everything okay, hon?

John Connor:Yeah. Just a nightmare.

John takes a walkie-talkie.

John Connor (into walkie-talkie):Ricardo? Did Reese get back?

Ricardo’s voice (through walkie-talkie):Yep. He just got back, about ten minutes or so. His team has lost many

soldiers.Sumner’s team is checking in right now.

On the background dogs start to bark and go crazy.

Ricardo’s voice (through walkie-talkie):Shit!

A male voice of a sentry in the background shouts:Terminator!

Sounds of a plasma riffle firing can be heard.Ricardo gets hit and his voice dies away.

John Connor jumps of his bed.

Kate Brewster:Oh my God.

John Connor:I’ve got to get Reese out of there. Take Sarah somewhere else. Somewhere safe. The hideout!

Kate knows the importance of Kyle Reese. She nods.

Kate Brewster:Be careful!

028 – INT. – Mail hall – Crystal Peak – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/VERY EARLY MORNING

The innocuous, rag-dressed man is calmly walking further, firing his powerful plasma riffle that he had hidden underneath his poncho. This man is the Terminator, an infiltration unit made by SKYNET. One of its latest and deadliest invention. A metal T-800 Endoskeleton covered with living tissue.

Energy bolts rip into the crowd.People are trying to flee, but a lot of them are killed.

029 – INT. – Vehicle’s room – Crystal Peak – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/VERY EARLY MORNING

John arrives in a room filled with old rusty vehicles that are used for important missions or for transport. The vehicles are all from before the war. A man called Pablo walks to Connor.

Pablo:What the hell is going on?

John Connor:Terminator.Get behind the wheels. Hurry!

They jump into an old red, rusty pickup truck with no glass windows and quickly drive away.

CUT TO:

030 – INT. – Mail hall – Crystal Peak – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/VERY EARLY MORNING

The Terminator continuous to strife further, killing everyone in its path.

Reese lays on the ground, looking at Sarah’s picture burning in the fire. His head is bleeding. There’s an explosion behind him.

Sarah’s picture curls away.

A running child is burst by a plasma hit.

Reese looks up.

A figure looms above, a silhouette in the smoky, hellish glare. Its eyes glow red (behind the human eyes) in the darkness.

The Terminator looks at Reese. He lowers his riffle and aims at Reese.

030ASuddenly a sound of an incoming car fades in.

The Terminator looks as the pickup truck smashes into him. The Terminator ‘flies’ away into some heavy crates. Bricks and other stuff fall on the Terminator.

John Connor pulls Reese from the ground and drags him into the back of the pickup truck. The pickup truck drives away, as the Terminator pushes the stuff from him away and stands up.

The Terminator’s face is damaged, revealing some of the chrome Endoskeleton behind his human-looking face. One eye is gone and on that place is a red dot. His fingers are damaged and expose some metal fingers. The metal fingers still carry the plasma rifle.

The pickup truck drives away into a dark tunnel.

030BThe Terminator aims at the car, but before he can shoot, bullets from an other side

hit him.The Terminator looks to the other side, not knowing it was John Connor who was in the escaping pickup truck.

Some of the Resistance soldiers are shooting at the Terminator. The Terminator fires back and kills two soldiers.

030CJustin Perry appears and throws a molotov-cocktail. It hits the Terminator and the fire completely covers the Terminator rapidly. The Terminator calmly walks further like nothing is happening to him, while the flesh burns away by the fire.

030DThe Terminator kills another two soldiers, while walking through the mess and destruction. An other soldier jumps behind the Terminator and fires a level-action shotgun. The Terminator stays unharmed. Only his armour is a little bit dented.The Terminator shoots the poor soldier.The plasma riffle clicks empty and the Terminator drops it without even looking at it. He walks to the shotgun and takes it from the dead soldier.

030EMore vehicles appear and try to flee. An other car drives by and Perry and some men jump in it. The car drives away from the Terminator.

030FThe Terminator is now completely an Endoskeleton of the T-800 series. All his flesh has burned away.

030GA soldier on a motorcycle appears and tries to escape the Endoskeleton, but the Endoskeleton simply blows the driver off his vehicle with the shotgun.The Endoskeleton reloads the 10-gauge shotgun and gets on the motorcycle. He drives after Perry’s vehicle into the tunnel.

031 – EXT. – Battlefield – Wasteland – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/VERY EARLY MORNING

Outside the morning starts. The sun already shines a little bit, but it is still dark.A salamander crawls on the sand. He looks up…

..to be run over by Perry’s car.

Justin Perry (to driver):Keep on going, it seems like its following us. It has to abandon (the rest of) our people.

The Endoskeleton slowly catches up with Perry’s car. He aims his shotgun and fires a round. The bullet hits the car’s cabin.

031APerry leans out of the windowless car and fires some bursts with his machinegun.

031BThe Endoskeleton drives through the wasteland. He revs up his motorcycle. He drives through some junk.

031CP.O.V TermoVision.From the TermoVision we see the world through a computer. It’s tracking the

vehicle.The Terminator starts a communication link with the SKYNET mainframe, sending the Resistance’s location to the computersystem.

031DThe driver looks in the rear-view mirror.

Driver (to Perry):It’s catching up, sir.

Perry still leans out of the car, aiming at the machine on the motorcycle.

031FThe Endoskeleton reloads his shotgun single-handed, while he closes on Perry’s

vehicle.It’s a nightmarish vision; the Endoskeleton on the motorcycle driving through the lifeless post-apocalyptic wasteland.The Endoskeleton takes a curve to the left.

031GPerry’s car has to drive to a passage. On both sides there are wreckages of cars and other junk, while an overpass is partly destroyed. It misses the central part.Perry’s car drives under the destroyed overpass as...

031H…the Endoskeleton jumps with his motorcycle over the car from the overpass and fires a deadly round in the driver’s cabin. The driver is killed in an instant.

031IPerry tries to take the wheel but it is too late. The car slips and crashes. The car rolls over, leaking fuel. The car is turned upside down.

032 – EXT. – Perry’s car – Wasteland – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/VERY EARLY MORNING

The panicking humans try to get out of the car.

The Endoskeleton on the motorcycle drives to the car. He reloads his shotgun single-handed. He gets off his motorcycle and walks to the car. Perry manages to get out of the car partly.

A metal feet fills the frame.

Perry looks up into the eyes of the deadly high-tech Endoskeleton. Perry knows he’s a dead man. Their eyes meet.

032AP.O.V TermoVision.The TermoVision outlines Perry’s body as the shotgun is aimed at Perry’s head. Perry swallows and prepares to die.A message appears on the TermoVision:

“Invalid Communication Failure”“SKYNET uplink failure”

The TermoVision flashes.

032BPerry still looks in the eyes of the Endoskeleton. The Endoskeleton’s red eyes blink and then fade out. The Endoskeleton stands motionless in front of Perry. The shotgun is still aimed at Perry’s head.

Justin Perry:You’ve got to be fuckin’ kiddin’ me.

Every soldier manages to get out of the car.

Soldier #1:What the fuck?

Perry grins. He approaches the chrome Endoskeleton before him. He pushes against its chest with one finger. It topples with a crash and lies still.

Justin Perry:Someone must be watching over us.Let’s disable it before it comes back online.

CUT TO:

033 – EXT. – Perry’s car – Wasteland – July 10th 2029 – NIGHT/EARLY MORNING

Perry and the other soldier try to cut off the power, while two other soldiers aim their rifles at the head in case it comes back online.

Soldier #1:Almost finished… just one more thing and...

The red eyes start to burn again.

Soldier #2:Guys!

Soldier #1:…voilà. Done!

The red eyes quickly die away. The Endoskeleton is dead.

Soldier #3:Why did it come back online? I thought it was dead...

Justin Perry:Maybe a power-failure or something… I don’t know.

Justin Perry (to his men):Gentlemen, the H.Q. will be very pleased with this.

They all smile in this desperate time.

034 – INT. – Human hideout – Cave – July 10th 2029 – EARLY MORNING

Kyle Reese is laying in the back of the pickup truck. John Connor looks at him.Joey Connor, John’s and Kate’s living 20 years old son talks to Reese.In the background Kate and her children help injured humans.Dogs are used to sniffle on the survivors, checking if everyone is human.

A TechCom technician walks to Connor.

TechCom technician Winn:Sir, we have monitored a powerdip at the SKYNET complex here.

John Connor:A powerdip?

TechCom technician Winn:Yes sir. Machines were spotted non-functional on the battlefield. Also, Aerial Hunter-Killers fell out of the sky. We guess these machines were working in hive-mode.

John Connor:Strange...Could this be a sign…?

TechCom technician Winn:Some of our men tried to disable an Endoskeleton, but it came back

online…They are all dead, sir.

John Connor:Good lord…

An Spanish looking man walks to Connor. He interrupts Connor.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:Sir, commander Perry is on the line.

John Connor:Thank you Fuentes.

035 – INT. – Human hideout – Cave – July 10th 2029 – MORNING

John walks to some communication equipment, set up in the back of a car.He takes the radio mike.

John Connor:Connor.

Justin Perry’s voice (through walkie-talkie):Perry here, the Terminator that attacked and followed us… we have

captured it.

John smiles very briefly. Still some good things happen when bad shit comes in.

John Connor:Good work Perry. Can you take it to the hideout?

036 – EXT. – Perry’s car – Wasteland – July 10th 2029 – EARLY MORNING

Perry looks at the car. It is burning out completely right now, because of the leaking fuel.

Perry brings his walkie-talkie to his mouth.

Justin Perry:Unfortunately not, the car is destroyed.

John Connor’s voice (through walkie-talkie):Copy that, we’ll send you transport.

Perry looks to sky. The sun lets its first beam hit the ground.

Justin Perry:OK sir, but you better hurry up. It’s getting brighter here.We’re an easy target now.

John Connor’s voice (through walkie-talkie):Don’t worry. You’re a mission priority right now.

Perry grins.

Justin Perry:Damn right we are.

Perry looks to the sky again. His face is covered by sunlight. He closes his eyes, briefly enjoying the sunlight.

John Connor’s voice (through walkie-talkie):What’s your location?

A wounded soldier helps another soldier. Medics are trying to help the injured men and women. Kyle Reese looks from the pickup truck to the gathered crowd in the hideout. His hand touches his head.

John Connor:Make sure Reese is alright.

Medic:Yes sir.

The medic walks to Reese.

John Connor walks to Fuentes.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:So what do you think Connor? Should we go back to the fallout for our

stuff?

John Connor:I’m not sure, but my guts says no. SKYNET could send more machines to that place. The infiltrator could have probably given the location to the Mainframe.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:Yeah... You may be right about that. Anyway… we have saved the most important things like the chip and the head.

John Connor:Good, tell Alex we can start the plan soon.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:Sir, Alex didn’t make it. He died while saving the CPU.

John Connor:My God... We were so close…

037ATwo camouflaged vans arrive. Perry gets out of the first vehicle. Most of his teammates get out of the second vehicle.Soldiers run to the first vehicle. Six soldiers lift the lifeless Endoskeleton out of the van and carry it to a table.

Perry walks to Connor.

Justin Perry:What yadda say? An Endo delivery for you, like you requested.

John Connor:Excellent work Justin. Right in time. Come with me.


Connor and Perry walk to the table on which the Endoskeleton lays. TechCom technicians are standing around the table.

Winn holds the CPU of the T-850 Terminator of 2004. A TechCom technician unscrews the port cover of the Endoskeleton.

He removes the port cover, breaks the seal, and removes the shock-damping assembly.

John Connor takes out the CPU of the Endoskeleton.

John Connor:The ‘brain’ of a Terminator.

Connor gives the CPU of the Endoskeleton to Vic.Winn gives Connor the CPU of the T-850 Terminator.

John Connor:Let’s hope this will work...

John places the virus infected CPU into the head.

John Connor (to a TechCom technician):Close the head.

John Connor (to Vic and Winn):Take this new CPU to your stand. I’ll be right with you to discuss something.

Winn nods and walks with some other TechCom technician to their temporary stand with computers.

John Connor (to two TechCom technicians):Repair the power circuit, but don’t activate it yet. This unit has to be ready as soon as possible.

The two TechCom technician nod and immediately start to work.

John Connor walks to the TechCom stand.

039 – INT. – TechCom stand (human hideout) – Cave – July 10th 2029 – MORNING

The TechCom technicians stare at the new CPU, as John and Perry walk in.They all look at Connor.

John Connor:Gentlemen, I need you to do something. Something more difficult than the

virus-trick.I want you to reprogram the CPU.

The TechCom technicians stare with wide eyes.

John Connor:Let me explain you this. When SKYNET falls, I have to send back a Terminator unit to the year 1994. His mission…

Perry coughs. John looks at him and understands.

John Connor:…*its* mission is to protect me… that is to say... my younger me.It’s a matter of life and death. I have faith in you that you will succeed in

this case.

Vic:When do you want this CPU to be ready?

John Connor:As soon as possible. When SKYNET falls, we enter the complex and the first thing we do is send back the unit. This could be tomorrow evening.

Vic:We can give it a try. But remember… It took us several years only to understand this types of CPU’s.

John Connor:I know… My existence depends on it, together with the fate of mankind. So finish it as fast as you can.

TechCom technician Winn:You’ve heard the man, let’s do it.

The TechCom technicians take their stuff. They connect the head to a portable computer and jack the CPU in the head. They place some wires on the head.

Kate walks to Reese, who’s sitting in a corner with his back against the wall. His head is bandaged.

Kate Brewster:You okay?

Kyle Reese:Could be better… but I live.

Kate smiles.

Kyle Reese:How are you?

Kate Brewster:Could be better… but I live.

They both smile.

It’s raining outside. The raindrops hit the wreckages of cars. A city of burning ruins fills the background of the dark cold night. Skulls and bones cover the ground.

Laserbeams shoot from one side to another. T-800 and T-700 Endoskeletons appear, scanning the environment for new targets. Firing their plasma guns at offscreen targets.The Endoskeletons don’t bother the rain that is falling on them. They just walk further and further.

An Aerial Hunter-Killer flies over them.A Ground Hunter-Killer emerges from behind the Endoskeletons.Lightning strikes in the background.

A T-600 Terminator walks on the terrain carrying a plasma riffle with both hands. His face looks spurious, because of the latex rubber skin.

More Endoskeletons walk by. One of them stops and fills the screen.The Endoskeleton turns his head to the camera. The rain still falls on its head.THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN on the head as the red dots quickly come closer to FILL THE SCREEN.

041AJohn wakes up from this nightmare. His face is covered with sweat.His daughter Sarah looks at him.

Sarah Connor:Are you alright dad?

John Connor:Just the normal happening.

Sarah Connor:Will you ever sleep normal?

John Connor:I don’t know… I just don’t know.

Sarah moves from her chair and looks at her father.

Sarah Connor:We’re gonna make it, dad. We will win the war.

John Connor:I know… but at what costs?

Sarah Connor:Have faith. Joey has been all day with the TechCom technicians. Repairing the power of the Endo. While you were sleeping most of the day.

John Connor:You’re right.

Sarah Connor:They should be ready soon.

John Connor:Let’s hope this is soon all over.What time is it?

Sarah Connor:Time for you to get up.

John removes the blanket of him and stands up. He looks around him. More people lay around a fire, sleeping or trying to sleep.

042 – INT. – TechCom stand (human hideout) – Cave – July 10th 2029 – LATE NOON

John walks to the TechCom stand. His son Joey is also there.

John Connor:Got this thing repaired?

Joey Connor:It is finished.We’re waiting for your command to activate it.

John Connor:We’ll wait with that until this thing is released on the field.

Joey Connor:Okay. I have a question. Is it okay if we remove one powercell? It doesn’t need two cells for this short mission. We can learn from it.

John Connor:Good thinking son.

Joey does a “thumbs up” gesture.The TechCom technicians turn the T-800 Endoskeleton and unscrew its powerpack on its back, revealing two powercells.

042ATHE CAMERA MOVES among the survivors. They’re living in fear, in doubt. Short time passes as the CAMERA MOVES further.

We see the back of the TechCom technicians, working on the T-800 Endoskeleton.We see John Connor talking to Fuentes.We see Kate Brewster talking with son Joey and daughter Sarah.

The Endoskeleton is loaded into a van.The van drives away into the darkness.

The van stands on the wasteland, the backdoors are open. Soldiers drag the T-800 Endoskeleton out of the van, while other soldiers scoop the environment for machines.Justin Perry and Joey Connor open the T-800 Endoskeleton’s back.Every other soldier gets in the van, ready to drive away in any second.Joey re-inserts one powercell in the powerpack.

John Connor, Fuentes and a group of soldiers lay on the top of a small mountain. They look through their binoculars. They see the van driving away. They are waiting… waiting for the T-800 Endoskeleton to move and head back to SKYNET’s L.A. Complex.

A group of nine soldiers arrives in the main hall of the fallout shelter Crystal Peak. Bodies lay on the ground. Blood covers the walls. Dead dogs. Chaos. Little fires are still burning.

The soldiers move further into the room, looking and listening cautiously.

Two soldiers investigate the briefing room, but nothing strange is found there.

046ASuddenly…

Soldier #1:What’s that noise?

Soldier #2:Which noise?

Soldier #1:Ssstt… Listen!

The soldiers listen.

Soldier #3:It’s coming closer.

One of the soldiers suddenly recognizes the coming terror.

Soldier #4:Seeker!

Out of a corner a device flies into the room. The small device, called a Seeker, is about the size of a basketball. It makes a zooming sound because of the propeller that makes it fly. It’s a seeking landmine, searching for its target with its infrared vision to explode into. One of SKYNET’s first toys, still usable to release in ruins and other buildings that were left behind by the humans.

The Seeker flies straight to the soldiers that are trying to shoot this thing down. No luck, and the machine crashes into two soldiers. The other soldiers dive away and hide behind crates and other stuff. The Seeker explodes and three soldiers are dead.

Before the soldiers can react, papers on the ground start to swirl. A very blue-white glare appears, followed by flashes and blue lightning. A time sphere (like the one from T3) appears. And another one. And another. Three time spheres fill the room. The light dims away to reveal the arrival of three T-800 Endoskeletons. The Seeker must has send info to the SKYNET Mainframe.

Soldier #2:Oh my God.

The soldiers start to fire at the T-800 Endoskeletons.

It’s still dark outside.

CAMERA TRACKS the T-800 Endoskeleton from its back, as it walks further, to reveal the SKYNET L.A. Complex TEMPEST1. TEMPEST1 is the complex from which al machine activity is organized in the area of Los Angeles. The Time Displacement Equipment is located within the complex.The complex itself is colored gray and flat, guarded by sentry guns at all sides.

The Endoskeletons walks to the entrance and enters the complex.

All humans stand by the entrance of the human hideout. They look at the wasteland, using enhanced field glasses with nightvision.Far away they can see the Aerial Hunter-Killers flying.

Vault-like doors open. The Endoskeletons strides further into a bare long chamber. Other Endoskeletons are connected to download terminals. The Endoskeleton passes them and reaches an available download terminal. The Endoskeleton takes its position. Metal arms start to move to its head and connect the CPU to the L.A. Mainframe.

049AA computer screen shows the status of the download/upload sequence. Suddenly, the screen goes all black. Other screens follow.

SKYNET’s Mainframe is safely located deeply within Cheyenne Mountain. Before Judgment Day, this mountain was used for SAC-NORAD where it could monitor the skies for any danger. The mountain was hollowed and a secure cabin was build inside around 1960. It could survive a direct hit of a missile. It survived Judgment Day.

Outside on the surface of Cheyenne Mountain, the metal pyramid stands coldly. After Judgment Day, the earth was blasted away by a missile. The secure cabin inside Cheyenne Mountain became visible. Defense gun turrets guard the complex.

Aerial Hunter-Killers fall out of the dark sky. Ground Hunter-Killers stop moving.

The war is over... I repeat, SKYNET has been destroyed…

People are sheering in the hideout. Women are crying. Men are grinning. Children are dancing.

Kate Brewster smiles. She takes Sarah’s hand.Kate turns her head TO THE SCREEN. A tear falls down from her eyes.

Vault-like doors swing open. John Connor stands behind the doors. Behind Connor stand Justin Perry, Fuentes and a team of TechCom soldiers. They walk further.

Two hours after the moment that SKYNET went down, Connor finally enters the complex. Half an hour after infection, Connor had sent a team to clear up the complex from rogue machines.Now he is finally there…

054 – INT. – Elevator – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – MORNING

A stainless steel elevator shaft, going deep into the bowels of the earth. Tiny figures stand on an open platform which descends rapidly, becoming a speck.

On the platform stand John Connor, Justin Perry, Fuentes and some TechCom technicians.

The platform reaches its destination. Connor and the men step off. They begin moving down a long corridor.

055 – INT. – Corridor – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – MORNING

This place was designed by machines for machines. The architecture is alien, without aesthetics, without even such human basics as doorknobs and lights.

John Connor leads the team past more frozen Endoskeletons, deactivated like the ones on the surface. Soldiers are removing the plasma cannons and load them on barrows. Other soldiers are disabling Endoskeletons.

Connor and Perry walk to a bunch of soldiers. As they continue on, they pass other teams of guerrilla soldiers.

John Connor:I have one last mission. No chance of survival.

Soldier #1:War’s over, man.

Soldier #2:Yeah… What’s the point?

A voice from behind Connor sounds.

Kyle Reese:I’ll go sir.

Connor steps back to look to the person behind him. It’s Kyle Reese. John Connor smiles sadly as he crosses eyes with Justin Perry.

John Connor (to Kyle Reese):I knew you would, soldier.

056 – INT. – Time Displacement Equipment – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – LATE MORNING

Vault-like doors open. John Connor strides through with authority and purpose, followed by Kyle Reese and Justin Perry. Connor is saluted smartly by everyone he encounters, though he wears no insignia of rank.

They walk on a long bridge-like platform to reach the core of the Time Displacement Equipment.

056AThere is a bustle of hurried activity here. The chamber is the size of a high-school gym and consist totally of machine surfaces. Nothing in the design makes any sense. We can't tell what anything does. It is a technology we cannot imagine.

Technicians have pulled up floor panels and tapped directly into cabling of the machine, using portable terminals that they have wheeled in.

John Connor (voice-over):This place is one of SKYNET’s toys. A machine built by machines. It is like nothing which has ever existed before... the first tactical time weapon. Before today, no human had seen this place, but I've been here in my dreams many times. All my life I've tried to imagine what it would look like. Now I'm actually here...

056BAt the far end of the room, Kyle Reese stands surrounded by a team of TechCom technicians.He’s about to walk point-blank into the gaping maw of history. At the moment, he is the center of activity. As he finishes stripping off his battle uniform, the TechCom technicians begin smearing his body with a conductive so the time-field will follow his outline.

Reese looks around at all the activity. Battle and the prospect of death have never scared him. But the importance of what he is about to do terrifies him.

The TechCom technicians move aside and suddenly John Connor is standing beside him. He fixes Reese with an intense gaze. There is so much he wants to say, but cannot bring himself to. Finally Connor speaks.

John Connor:I’m proud of you soldier. Did commander Perry brief you?

Kyle Reese:Yes, sir.

Connor nods.

[OMITTED]Kyle Reese:Sir?

John Connor:Yes?

Kyle Reese:You know what is gonna happen with me, don’t you? How this is gonna turn

out..?

Connor nods.

Kyle Reese:So..? How does it end? With me?

Reese looks at Connor’s face, trying to find an answer. Connor doesn’t know what to say. He can’t find the right words at this moment and swallows silently. Reese looks at Connor’s eyes and finds his answer.

John Connor:Reese…

Kyle Reese:Don’t… I don’t want to know.

Connor understands. He pats Kyle on his back.

John Connor:I owe you.

A moment of silence.

John Connor:You’re gonna win, soldier.

Reese looks up. He sees through Connor, and what Connor is trying to achieve.

Kyle Reese:Thank you, sir. It was an honor to serve with you.

Reese reaches out his hand. Connor shakes it.[/OMITTED]

John Connor:I need you to memorize something. Things you must tell Sarah. A message.

Reese nods, as Connor starts to talk. We can hear the words vaguely…

John Connor:Thank you Sarah for your courage…

… as a voice-over sets in.

John Connor (voice-over):The sadness of the inevitable destined loss of someone I could admire from a distance. A son’s love that could never be expressed. To look into the eyes of Reese…

056CThree enormous chrome rings, one inside the other, are suspended in a circular hole in the center of the room's floor. Connor and Reese approach them.

John Connor (voice-over):…this young, strong and brave man… to know that his love for my mother would cross time itself.

Afthough a fantastic, intense and emotional conversation, it is probably best omitted, because in T1 it doesn’t really look like that Reese already knows what is gonna happen to him.


Reese steps onto the first ring. It bobs under his weight. We see that the rings are freely floating in a magnetic field. Reese steps to the inner ring and looks into the hole. A vast echoing darkness below. He looks back at Connor.

John Connor (voice-over):That he would protect her…

Reese takes a breath, then steps into open space and is buoyed up by an unseen field of force. He floats in the middle of the rings. The TechCom technicians start the time displacement sequence.

John Connor (voice-over):…that he would die for her…

The rings begin to move, slowly rotating around each other on different axis like some complex gyroscope.

John Connor (voice-over):…for me…

The floor begins to split open, like wedges in a pie which begin to pull back from the center. The rings are spinning faster now, suspended in space in the middle of the receding floor wedges. The rings begin to descend.

John Connor (voice-over):…for the entire human race.

Connor and Reese lock eyes as they move apart. Reese is dropping into an unbelievably vast circular space... the time-field generator. Connor watches him go, until Reese is a tiny figure. The rings are spinning so rapidly now they almost disappear, becoming a sphere of whirling steel. Technicians pull Connor back from the edge.

Lightning begins to arc across the vast room below. A huge charge of energy is building up. Everyone takes cover behind blast walls they have set up. They put on goggles like they used to do at A-bomb tests. This is going to be big.

The chamber below has become a Hell of energy with Reese at its center. The drone and crackle of the machines builds to thunder, there is a blinding flash of light. When the glare fades the floating rings are empty. They slow to a stop, seared and smoking. Reese is gone. He has made history.

John Connor (voice-over):See, the only problem with time travel is... it ain't over even when it's over.

056DFuentes turns to Connor.

TechCom technician Fuentes:Now what happens to Reese? I mean, what did happen?

Connor's gaze seems far away from this time and place.

John Connor:He accomplishes his mission and in doing so, he dies.

TechCom technician Fuentes:He is a good soldier.

Connor solemnly nods.

John Connor:Yes... He's my father.

TechCom technician Fuentes:Madre de Dios! (Mother of God)

Fuentes stares at Connor in amazement. He has just been given a glimpse into his leader's private Hell. Connor turns from the smoking chamber. He seems suddenly ten years older as his features drain of strength, shoulders sagging.

John Connor:It messes with your head.

057 – EXT. – SKYNET’s satellite – Atmosphere – July 11th 2029 – NOON

THE CAMERA FLIES through the air, until it stops by a satellite. The satellite is flying lifeless in the atmosphere. Suddenly it is activated. It slowly descends towards earth.

058 – INT. – Corridor – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – NOON

A team of guerrilla soldiers walks in a long corridor. As they pass several Endoskeletons, they walk in some kind of machinery laboratory. Nobody understands even which machine does what thing.As they enter the laboratory, they reach warm drums that contain liquid metal.

059 – EXT. – Battlefield – Wasteland – July 11th 2029 – NOON

Motionless machines stand on the battlefield.

A Ground Hunter-Killer is burning with fire, because an Aerial Hunter-Killer has crashed into it when SKYNET was infected.

A few men, but mostly women and children are collecting the plasma guns from the Endoskeletons. Kate, as second in command, leads them.The humans on the field are disconnecting as much as machines as possible.

CUT TO:

060 – INT. – Cold storage facility – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – NOON

CAMERA TIGHT ON massive doors of steel, covered with a thin sheet of ice. Locking bolts slam back. Ice shatters like glass as the doors begin to open.

John Connor walks into the darkness, followed by a few TechCom technicians and soldiers. They are in a vault-like cold-storage room.

Hanging in steel racks from ceiling tracks are hundreds of what appear to be men. They are in rows of sixteen. Within each row, each of the bodies are absolutely identical. Only the haircut is different, but basically all models have short hair.

Connor signals the technicians to remain by the door and walks out among the dark bodies. They are unactivated Terminators. He stops at a row in which they are identical to the Terminator model which was sent to kill Sarah (Cyberdyne Systems Model-101; the Arnold model).

He walks to the end of the row, passing all the models with their different haircuts (even a bald one). There is one empty rack. He faces the Terminator in the next rack. Its eyes are closed.

060AThe TechCom technicians walk to Connor.One of the technician, Tom Carter, 63 years old, opens his toolkit. He takes a knife and hands it to Connor.

Connor cuts into the Terminator scalp at the base of its skull. He pushes a bit of flesh to one side and sees the port cover. Winn unscrews it and works further until they reach the CPU.

[OMITTED]TechCom soldier Fuentes:Sir, why send the same model?

John Connor:Easy recognition for me and my mother. It’s the only model we’ve known.

[/OMITTED]

Carter attaches a portable power source to a pair of input points on the T-800’s skull allowing the dormant motherboard to power out from the port.

Connor takes the reprogrammed CPU and replaces it with the CPU in the Terminator’s head.

Soldiers aim their newly taken plasma guns at the T-800’s head.

Carter activates the power, and the T-800 Terminator comes to life.

As its systems are booting up, the mission parameters are coming clear. Its eyes burn bright red.

John Connor:What is your mission?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:My mission is to protect John Connor.

The bright red dots disappear, as the Terminator has become fully operational.

The T-800 Terminator focuses on John’s head. He then scans John and outlines his body.

Soldier Jones (through headset):Jones here. We’ve found a laboratory with several drums with liquid metal. What do we do with it?

Justin Perry (into mike):Destroy them.

Soldier Jones (through headset):Affirmative.

061BA TechCom soldier runs to Perry. He gives him a communication device.

Soldier:Urgent call from Colorado Springs.

Justin Perry (into mike):Commander Perry.

Rachel Warren (through device):Report of a satellite reaching the top of Navajo Mountain. We have monitored radio signals from it.

Justin Perry:What the heck?

061CJohn Connor enters the room, followed by the T-800 Terminator. The T-800 is dressed with few clothes. Soldiers grab their weapons and aim at the Terminator.

John Connor:Hold your fire! He’s one of us now.

Every human looks very surprised, not understanding the situation.

John Connor:He’s reprogrammed to protect me. We have to send him back.

The soldiers lower their guns slowly, still having doubts about the whole situation.

Justin Perry runs to Connor.

Justin Perry:We’ve got big trouble coming our way. It seems SKYNET is pulling a trick on

us.

John Connor:What…? How…? That’s not possible!

Justin Perry:Our friends in Colorado have spotted a satellite descending to the top of Navajo Mountain, sending out radio signals to inside the mountain.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:SKYNET’s backup satellite. When destroyed, SKYNET will use the satellite to reactivate itself inside Navajo Mountain. From within the mountain, SKYNET will put all its divisions on active.

John Connor:Including this one?

Suddenly machinery starts to move.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Affirmative, TEMPEST1 is one of the highest priorities.

John Connor:Shit… we have to send you back now.

Justin Perry:There’s not much time for that now, John. You must stay alive.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:SKYNET is active. TEMPEST1 is back under its control.

061EFrom inside the headset of Justin Perry we hear men screaming.

Justin Perry (into mike):What’s going on?

Soldier Jones (through headset):The machines came to life…

We can hear men dying on the background.

Soldier Jones (through headset):…we’re not gonna make it, sir. The mission is completed. The liquid metal is destroyed.

We can hear a big explosion on the background, as the sounds in the headset die away. Noise fills the sound in the headset.

John Connor:Oh my God.

Justin Perry (to all the humans):Get out of here! Run!

John Connor:No, you must be send back!

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:There’s insufficient time. You must live.

The T-800 Terminator grabs John by his arms and pulls him away.

John Connor:No… you can’t do this.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:It’s my mission priority. You reprogrammed me to do this.

The T-800 Terminator grabs a plasma gun from a disconnected Endoskeleton, by breaking its arm. He pulls John out of the room into a long corridor.The humans arm themselves and follow him.

062 – INT. – Corridor – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – LATE NOON

The T-800 Terminator turns around a corner and shoots three active Endoskeletons with his plasma gun. He strides further, followed by John Connor and the humans.

They can hear the gunshots above them. Men are firing back at active machines.

They walk to a doorway, as blue lighting appears from that behind doorway.

063 – INT. – Aerial Hunter-Killer storage – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – LATE NOON

The room is filled with the newest sort of Aerial Hunter-Killers (the ones from the T3 future war sequences). At least ten heavy assault Aerial Hunter-Killers are standing unactivated in position. The room itself is hundred meters high. At the ceiling is a sort of seal.

A very blue-white glare appears, followed by flashes and blue lightning. A time sphere (like the one from T3) appears. A bright white flash fills the room. The surroundings of the timesphere created a hole in one of the Aerial Hunter-Killers. The edges touched by the timesphere are still glowing shiny red of the intense heat.

064AThe Aerial Hunter-Killer ascends and flies to the roof of the storage room.As it reaches the ceiling, the seal opens automatically and shows the dark sky. The Aerial Hunter-Killer flies through the gate in the open air.

The damaged T-800 Terminator walks into the room in which the massive Time Displacement Equipment is located. His face is more damaged and bloodier then it was before. The satchel charges are still on their place, as gunfire can be heard on a higher level. The Terminator carries the remote control of the charges. He drops the plasma gun he is holding.

The damaged T-800 Terminator blocks the entrance of the room. He then walks into a room linked with the room of the Time Displacement Equipment. He enters the room.

066 – INT. – Fleshmachine – TEMPEST1 – July 11th 2029 – NIGHT

The damaged T-800 Terminator walks in and directly walks to a strange looking machine.

He suddenly starts to rip all his artificial flesh of his body. More of the Endoskeleton is exposed. He pulls of the flesh of his head, until only a chrome Endoskeleton head is visible.The artificial eyeballs fall on the ground, next to a little pile of skin and the remote control.

The damaged T-800 Terminator is now fully Endoskeleton. He walks to the control panels of the machine and enters his modelnumber 101 and versionnumber.

He then steps into the machine, as two parts move to each others. The two parts closes around the Endoskeleton. Lights on the machine start to burn.(the ones that have seen the T2 teaser ‘building the perfect Arnold’ know which machine I mean)

On a computer screen appear statements:“Cyborg Tissue Generation”“T-800 Series Cyberdyne Systems Model 101” ”Sequence Initiated”

After seven seconds the parts move away from each other to expose a complete CSM-101 T-800 Terminator with all his flesh. The machine has grown flesh on the Terminator’s complete huge bulk.

The naked Terminator steps out of the machine and picks up the remote control. He then walks back to the Time Displacement Equipment.

The naked Terminator walks on the long bridge-like platform to reach the core of the Time Displacement Equipment. As he arrives, he walks to a control panel and enters some data.After entering the data, he walks to the edge of the Time Displacement Equipment.

The T-800 Terminator takes a good look at the remote control AS THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN ON HIS EYES.

The naked T-800 Terminator, its body shiny of the conductive, steps into the inner ring and into the open space.He is buoyed up by an unseen field of force. The T-800 Terminator takes a kneeling position, although he floats in the middle of the rings. It downcast its eyes as the rings start to move. The floor splits open. Lightning begins to arc.

070ASuddenly the door breaks open as three T-900 Endoskeletons enter the room.

They stride immediately to the core of the Time Displacement Equipment.

070BThe T-800 Terminator, still floating, looks up at the incoming T-900 Endoskeletons. He then disappears to his destiny with a bright white flash.

A shadow blackens the sky as a formation of flying Aerial Hunter-Killers passes overhead.

A stressed John Connor looks worried. With four Aerial Hunter-Killers on their back they try to escape them, but the enemy follows them easily.

The T-800 Terminator has control of the airship. He has difficulties with avoiding the shots of the following Aerial Hunter-Killers.

John Connor:Where are we going?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:I calculate a forty-one percent probability of survival if we reach a city of

high ruins.

John Connor:This is not good.

Kate Brewster fires a plasma gun at a T-900 Endoskeleton. Humans are retreating and falling back, firing at the machines.

The digitized T-800 Endoskeleton P.O.V. TermoVision as it tracks a running figure across the desolate landscape. Through these eyes we see the world as a computer-generated image. Symbols and graphics rapidly appear on the center display as the machine acquires its target.

The figure, a young boy in rags, is centerpunched by the deadly round. He sprawls to a smoking heap on the blackened sludge.

Another figure, a guerrilla soldier hefting a battered RPG rocket launcher.

The T-800 Endoskeleton turns, but is too late. The rocket vaporizes the top half of it. Its bottom half takes a few uncertain steps, then topples to the earth.

The figure quickly takes cover at the approaching sound of roaring turbines. A shadow blackens the sky as a formation of Aerial Hunter-Killers patrol machines passes overhead.

A Sapper team tries to disable a Ground Hunter-Killer. They get riddled by its rapidly tracking gun turret.

Three T-800 Endoskeletons advance, firing rapidly. Another (complete cyborg), with flesh ripped open and back broken, gropes for a rifle on the ground.

A Centurion shoots people as they are trying to flee from it.

A team of guerrillas is being overrun by Endoskeletons in the ruins of a building. One by one, the soldiers fall in desperate hand-to-hand combat. One of the Endoskeletons looms over a wounded soldier, its battle rifle's barrel swinging down toward the guerrilla's head.

074ESmoke appears quickly from the first Aerial Hunter-Killer as it descends, unable to hold it stable. The first Aerial Hunter-Killer crashes and explodes into the ground.

074FThe T-800 Terminator takes the controls and flies further, hiding behind an other high ruin building. The T-800 Terminator can see through the holes in the ruin. He sees the second Aerial Hunter-Killer flying at the other side of the building. He turns his turret guns to the building and fires through the weak walls of the ruin at the second Aerial Hunter-Killer.

074GThe ruin building collapses. The second Aerial Hunter-Killer, hit by the shots, follows its example and crashes together with the building at the ground.

074HJohn Connor smiles. This is the Terminator that once protected him. It had to be. It reminded him of the old times, back in the days the T-800 Terminator was his father-figure.

The T-800 Terminator looks at Connor. Probably not understanding John’s gesture and chance of mood.

074IThe T-800 Terminator flies away to hide behind an other ruin building. It’s only chance of survival is to take out the machines one by one, shielded by the ruins.

074JThe other two Aerial Hunter-Killers that are left spot our heroes’ Aerial Hunter-Killer and fly slowly to the building. They surround the building from both sides.

They close in on Connor’s Aerial Hunter-Killer.

The third Aerial Hunter-Killer turns around the corner of the building, while the fourth Aerial Hunter-Killers turns around the corner of the building from the opposite side.

074KInside John Connor becomes desperate.They are surrounded by two deadly flying machines.

The T-800 turns the nose of the Aerial Hunter-Killer towards the walls of the ruin and fires point-blank. He then crashes with his Aerial Hunter-Killer right through the weak walls of the ruin and flies through the ruin. The Aerial Hunter-Killer is badly damaged.

075CThe Aerial Hunter-Killer appears on the other side of the building, while smoke is blowing from the airship. The Aerial Hunter-Killer turns and fires at one of the Aerial Hunter-Killers. It is hit very badly and explodes in the air.

075DThe other Aerial Hunter-Killer fires at our heroes’ Aerial Hunter-Killer. The airship starts to burn and descends to crash.The T-800 Terminator aims the Aerial Hunter-Killer at a ruin building.

Blood streams from his head.The T-800 Terminator reaches back in the burning Aerial Hunter-Killer to grab his plasma gun.

John Connor:What?

The T-800 Terminator drags Connor further with him.

CAMERA TIGHT ON the Aerial Hunter-Killer as doors open in its belly, releasing three chrome disks as they come to life, rocketing downwards towards the parking structure.

They are Mini-Hunters; single rotor anti-personnel drones about a foot in diameter. Fast, short range death-frisbees, they each carry a front-mounted automatic-weapon about as powerful as an UZI.

They whine like evil bees as they swarm down into the shadows, splitting off in three directions with keen precision. THE CAMERA TRACKS WITH ONE OF THEM as it zips throughthe war torn landscape.

078 – INT. – Mini-Hunter chase – Parking lot – July 11th 2029 – NIGHT

The T-800 Terminator and John Connor descend on a destroyed stairway. They start to run.

078AThe three Mini-Hunters catch up on the two running targets.

078BThe T-800 aims his plasma gun and fires at one of the Mini-Hunters. He shoots the first Mini-Hunter into pieces. John Connor looks back at the T-800 Terminator.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4 (to John Connor):Run!

Connor starts to run further.

078COne of the Mini-Hunters ascends and flies over the T-800 Terminator, while the other flies directly to the T-800 Terminator.The T-800 Terminator aims his plasma gun, but before he can shoot, the Mini-Hunter shoots the plasma gun and destroys it. The Mini-Hunter fires point-blank at the T-800 Terminator’s belly. The shots rip away the flesh of the T-800 Terminator.

078DThe T-800 Terminator lifts his plasma gun and slams it with full power at the top of the Mini-Hunter, causing it to fall on the ground. The Mini-Hunter starts to move already, but the T-800 Terminator’s foot crushes the Mini-Hunter.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Stop whining!

078EIn the same time, John Connor has hidden for the last Mini-Hunter.The last Mini-Hunter systematically scans the room for him, sensitive for sound

and motion. John Connor makes a sound by bumping against a brick wall.The Mini-Hunter flies towards the sound, but then hears another sound behind it.The Mini-Hunter turns and is face-to-face with the damaged T-800 Terminator.Before the Mini-Hunter can react, the T-800 Terminator grabs it and slams it into a

pillar.

078FThe T-800 Terminator drops the lifeless Mini-Hunter. He looks to John Connor. Some of the T-800 Terminator’s flesh is ripped away.

VERY DARK. ALMOST COMPLETE BLACKNESS as suddenly a white hole appears. John Connor crawls through the hole, followed by the T-800 Terminator. The T-800 Terminator closes the hole and it becomes very dark again. The T-800 Terminator’s eyes start to glow faintly red in the darkness.

John Connor:I can’t see a thing.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Follow me.

079AP.O.V TermoVision.From the T-800 Terminator’s view, we see John Connor looking all over the place, but not able to see a thing.The words “Image enhanced” are displayed on the TermoVision. Through the TermoVision everything is lit as bright as day.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:A T-1 Unit, a first generation Terminator. Primitive targeting system, heat and motion sensitive.

John Connor (whispering):What’s it doing here?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Blocking possible exits for human escape.

John Connor (whispering):Why here?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:This sewer is linked to TEMPEST1. Humans could easily infiltrate the base from out the sewers. SKYNET anticipated this and positioned the T-1 Units out in the sewers, guarding the most important tunnels.

John Connor (whispering):What are we gonna do?

081AThe T-800 Terminator takes a cover of a manhole that is located above them.He then pushes Connor behind a wall. A stroke of light falls on his face, showing parts of damaged skin with underneath the Endoskeleton.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Wait here. I’ll be back.

The T-800 Terminator puts the manhole cover in front of him as a shield. He strides towards the T-1 Unit, stepping in the (juicing) splashing dirty water.Suddenly the T-1 Unit comes to life and aims its red laser sightings at the closing T-800 Terminator. The T-1 Unit fires it chainguns at the T-800 Terminator, but he shields himself with the manhole.The two chainguns make an enormous noise. The dark room is lighted by bullets glancing off the manhole cover. The T-1 Unit continuous firing, as the T-800 Terminator reaches it.

The T-800 Terminator reaches with his right hand to push one of the chainguns aside, and pushes with the manhole cover against the other chaingun. He then smashes his right hand into the T-1 Unit’s eyes. He slams the manhole cover into the T-1 Unit’s head. He drops the manhole cover and rips off one of the chainguns. He fires with the chaingun point-blank at the center of the T-1 Unit’s torso, firing through the shield directly at its power units. The T-1 Unit can’t hit the T-800

The T-800 Terminator grabs Connor and pulls him further into the darkness.

082 – EXT. – Sewers – Wasteland – July 12th 2029 – EARLY MORNING

Humans, armed with plasma guns, are standing somewhere on the wasteland. Justin Perry climbs out of a manhole that’s located behind the men. He turns back and reaches out his hand to help Kate Brewster climb out of it. More humans climb out of the manhole, carrying plasma guns.

Kate Brewster (to Justin Perry):Will he make it?

Perry turns to Kate.

Kate Brewster (to Justin Perry):John.

Justin Perry:He has to. Mankind is lost without him. He’s our only hope.

A little pause follows.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:Why didn’t general Connor send back the Terminator immediately? To fight the first Terminator?

Kate Brewster:He had to send back Kyle, otherwise John would have never been born. It was never the intention to change that part of the future.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:But, no fate but what we make?

Kate Brewster:Changing the past has consequences. If something is altered in the wrong way, the machines could possibly already have won the war. We don’t want that to happen.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:You’re right. I’m sorry. I…

082AA soldier, looking through binoculars, starts to shout.

Soldier:It’s Connor. General Connor is coming to us, together with someone else.

Perry, Kate and Fuentes run to the soldier. They can see a figure walking next to Connor. As the figure closes, the humans look more and more frightened. They see the damaged T-800 Terminator.

The soldiers aim their plasma guns at the T-800 Terminator. Connor makes a gesture to lower the guns.

John Connor:He is okay. He’s on our side.

Kate runs to Connor. She embraces him, but then pushes John away from the T-800 Terminator. She doesn’t trust the machine.

Kate Brewster:John, how can you trust it? It’s a machine for Christ’s sake!

John Connor:It’s the one we’ve reprogrammed.

Fuentes:One of those units leaded us into the sewers, when you disappeared with this one.

Justin Perry looks to Kate.

Justin Perry:Yeah, we escaped thanks to it and then met your team in the sewers.

Kate Brewster:We barely escaped the machines on the battlefield. Many people died there because of these machines!

John Connor is irritated. The short taste of victory, not being able to send back his protector for 1994, and all the other bad news frustrates him.

John Connor:Look Kate, we hadn’t survived if such a unit didn’t came back to protect us! Sometimes you have to put your faith in a machine!

Suddenly a big explosion fills the landscape on the background. TEMPEST1 is on fire.

John Connor:What the hell was that?

TEMPEST1, together with the Time Displacement Equipment, is destroyed.

John Connor:How is that possible?

The T-800 Terminator ignores the question, maybe not knowing the answer.

Justin Perry:That unit that saved us, he took the remote control of the satchel charges.

John Connor:So, we’re not able to send you back from this place?!

Soldiers are loading two T-800 Endoskeletons out a Humvee. They are the few survivors that went to check in on Crystal Peak, but then the Seeker and T-800 Endoskeletons arrived. With the virus infecting SKYNET, the units went offline, just like every machine at that time. They had the change to disconnect it before SKYNET came back online.

083DTermoVision P.O.V. from the rogue soldier-infiltrator as it matches the image of Connor with a image taken by a hidden security camera of SKYNET in TEMPEST1. It is a match, and the soldier-infiltrator raises his plasma handgun directly at Connor.

083EThe soldier-infiltrator pushes the people away, aiming a plasma handgun directly

at Connor.

Perry reaches to his plasma gun, but is too late.

The soldier-infiltrator shoots at Connor, but Connor is pushed away by the T-800 Terminator.The energy bolt explodes in something on the background, as the T-800 Terminator reaches the soldier-infiltrator in less than six steps. The soldier-infiltrator fires point-blank into the direction of Connor, missing the T-800 Terminator by inches.

The T-800 Terminator knocks the plasma handgun out of the soldier-infiltrator’s hand. The soldier-infiltrator slams the T-800 Terminator into a wall of rocks.

The T-800 Terminator pushes the soldier-infiltrator from him away, as many plasma guns fire at the soldier-infiltrator.

The soldier-infiltrator drops dead on the ground, exposing major parts of the T-800 Endoskeleton.

Kate Brewster (to Perry):How did you know?

Justin Perry:He didn’t wear the right colored armband.

084 – INT. – Silverfishes attack – Human hideout – July 12th 2029 – MORNING

…rogue Silverfishes crawl into the hideout. They are small, fast-crawling kamikaze units that look like 5’ long chrome centipedes. They make a low monotone zooming sound.

As they crawl rapidly at the ground, they divide itself into smaller portions. Humans are trying to shoot these machines down, but the Silverfishes move too fast. They set of to explode, as the T-800 Terminator pushes John and Kate behind a wooden table, knowing the destructible nature of the Silverfishes.

Small explosions happen everywhere in the hideout. Humans fall lifeless on the ground with a bang. It looks like a Hell is broken lose. Fire is everywhere.

Kate’s back is covered with blood. Small explosions still happen in the background.

John screams in pain. His face is completely covered with blood. Flesh is ripped open by the explosions and wooden splinters.

John’s scarred face. A dejected, 47 years old John Connor raises enhanced nightvision field glasses to his eyes.

085AField glasses P.O.V. We see the Navajo Mountain, the location of SKYNET’S reactivated Mainframe; the central core.

John Connor:Navajo Mountain, Colorado. We’re here.

Field glasses P.O.V.Through the field glasses he sees a battle happening on the lower flank of the mountain, filled with humans fighting machines. More combat takes place on the battlefield. Two T-800 Endoskeletons are fighting a T-1000 (default chrome form). A Ground Hunter-Killer is firing at a pickup truck, driven by humans.

085BCAMERA PANS AWAY from Connor to reveal he’s standing in the backseat of an open, rusty Humvee.

A title card fades in:“3rd July, 2032”“3 years later”

Behind Connor is a machinegun installed on the back of the Humvee, controlled by soldier Morton. Connor passes the field glasses to Kate, who sits next to him. She stands up and looks through the field glasses to see the battlefield.

John Connor:What do you think?

Kate Brewster (still looking through field glasses):It’s a risk, but I think we can make it.

CAMERA MOVES AWAY from the Humvee to reveal eight more vehicles standing behind it. Waiting for a signal. The vehicles are damaged, rusty, self-made trucks, camouflaged on every side. On the top of the trucks are sitting armed,

reprogrammed Terminators. Different models, CSM-104’s, CSM-126’s, CSM-198’s, etc.We can’t see what’s inside the trucks. Behind the trucks are a Humvee and a Hummer, manned by man that are scooping the environment for machine activity.

With the destruction of TEMPEST1 and the L.A. Mainframe in 2029, the Human Resistance was able to get as much units as possible. From within the ruins of TEMPEST1, the chambers with unactivated Terminators were surprisely not destroyed by the explosion. After the discovery of this, the humans started to reprogram all the units, to fight for mankind.

085CThe T-800 Terminator sits behind the wheels of the Humvee. Most of his flesh is regenerated in the three years that have passed.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Why are they fighting, if they know we’re coming?

John Connor:Warren said it was for distraction, so we could safely pass. We would encounter her at the rendez-vous point.

Kate Brewster:Hope she was right about that.

Connor grabs a walkie-talkie.

John Connor (into walkie-talkie):Everything is clear so far, except on the mountain’s side.

Connor sits down. The T-800 Terminator steps on the gas. The damaged trucks follow the Humvee.

Rachel Warren, a 31-year old woman, looks from the mountain-area to the convoy of trucks. She is the leader of the Colorado Division of the Human Resistance in this area. Accompanied by other male soldiers, they are waiting for the convoy to arrive.

Rachel Warren:That’s our call. Let’s go boys.

They jump into a terrain vehicle, and drive off to the convoy.

Rachel Warren and John Connor walk in, followed by more men of the convoy. They walk in a long hall. Kate and the T-800 Terminator are walking behind Connor and Warren.

Rachel Warren:How was the trip? You’re the first one that has traveled so many miles since Judgment Day.

John Connor:An enormous undertaking. We’ve lost six trucks loaded with units on our way, thanks to the machines. They probably thought we would come in tomorrow, otherwise this place would be full of these fuckers.

Rachel Warren:If they know where you were heading too..?

John Connor:SKYNET is not stupid. It has probably calculated the highest chance of

scenario.

087AThey enter the main hall of the hideout.

Kate Brewster:What was this place?

Rachel Warren:It was a former hangar, used by the military. We guess it was top secret stuff, as it was build inside this mountain.

John Connor:SKYNET is linked with all military systems. How come that SKYNET doesn’t know about this place?

Rachel Warren:It’s a mystery for us either. We assume this hangar was given up by the military. Maybe a lazy inattentive bastard that deleted the facility from the military system, before SKYNET took control or was plugged in. Or something like that.

John Connor (to T-800 Terminator):Strange. Do you know anything about this hangar?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Negative. I have no data about this facility.

Rachel Warren:Very weird yeah.

John Connor:Tomorrow, the second convoy will arrive. We will meet them around night,

this time.A third convoy will arrive the day after tomorrow.

Rachel Warren:Where did you get all these units?

John Connor:

SKYNET’s complex in Los Angeles, TEMPEST1. When it was destroyed, we discovered the chambers with the units, most were not even damaged. So we started to reprogram their CPU’s, to fight on our side.

Rachel Warren:We will load the units from the trucks. With the help of the active units. I don’t want all the units activated already. Are you sure they can be trusted?

The T-800 Terminator looks up to Warren.She shrugs.

John Connor:Yep.

Warren nods.

Rachel Warren:We will provide you some food and show you around if you want. Don’t expect a feast meal. Or you can go sleep or rest by the others, you’re choice.

Warren gives a signal to a group of men. The men walk to her.

Rachel Warren:Unload the trucks. These units will assist you.

Soldier #1:But…

Rachel Warren:No but… Now! Move your asses!

They walk to the entrance of the hanger, not trusting the following Terminators. Some of Connor’s own men assist in helping.

Warren turns back to Connor.

Rachel Warren (to Kate and John):We have encountered another problem with a captured unit. We want your opinion about it.

John Connor:What kind of problem?

Rachel Warren:A different T-800 model.

John Connor and Kate Brewster cross eyes, probably already knowing the answer of Waren’s problem. They follow Warren.

Rachel Warren, John Connor and Kate Brewster enter the TechCom Forces room.Parts of Endoskeletons lay on tables. Heads, arms, damaged legs, etc.Plasma guns are unscrewed. Technicians are inspecting them, learning from them, trying understanding them, so they can reproduce them.

Rachel Warren:About a week ago, we captured this particular unit with major trouble. Although we fired with plasma guns directly at the chest, the unit stayed functional. We managed to disconnect it, but we didn’t know what to do with it.

A TechCom technician stops by the group to fill in.

TechCom technician Ross:We removed some of the skin. The front of the chassis was different. Armour, or something like that.

Kate Brewster:It’s an upgraded model of the T-800 Series. A T-850.

TechCom technician Ross:What are the differences?

John Connor:Have you reprogrammed the CPU of this unit?

TechCom technician Ross:Yes.

John Connor:Then why don’t you ask it himself?

Kate looks to John as he mentions the machine again as ‘him’.

Rachel Warren:The CPU was different compared with the normal ones. We thought you might know the answer already. We were not sure if our reprogramming would be enough for this different unit.

Connor nods.

088ATechCom technician Ross activates the unit. An other technician stands behind the unit to quickly pull the plug in case something might go wrong.The unit comes online as slowly its programs are starting.

Connor nods to TechCom technician Ross. Ross pulls the CPU out of the head, and the unit goes dead.

089 – INT. – Entrance/Storage room – Colorado hideout – July 3rd 2032 – EARLY MORNING

Men and machine are unloading the trucks. Terminators and Endoskeletons, stacked on each others inside the truck, are dragged out by Terminators. The Terminators, some damaged from the trip and some not, carry the unactivated units to a storage room. The humans lead the different Terminator models. One of the humans, still not sure if to trust these machines, slowly walks to a bald CSM-101 T-800 unit.

Soldier Stevens (not understanding how to begin the conversation):So… How were you created? I mean, from the start..?

The bald CSM-101 T-800 unit looks to the soldier, not understanding the sudden curiosity of the human.

Bald CSM-101 T-800 Infiltration Unit:The base for the Endoskeletons of the T-600, T-700, T-800 and T-900 Series Systems was created by CyberResearch Systems in 2004, based on later Cyberdyne Systems’ designs. Although the Endoskeletons were created in that time, CRS was not able to develop the Artificial Intelligence for these systems. It was too advanced for that time, for human understanding. The base of the AI was started and would be later completed for the simpler Terminator models, like the T-300 Series, around 2009.Although different versions were developed in time, the 4800 Series System created a fully perfect operational AI in 2022 for the later Terminator models, making them usable for infiltration missions.

Kate Brewster:SKYNET wants to retrieve TEMPEST1 and the L.A. area back.

Rachel Warren:Meaning that the machine activity here, in our area is dropped.Ideal for an attack.

Kate Brewster:Have you ever tried to infect the SKYNET Mainframe from here? Like we did in Los Angeles?

Rachel Warren:Yes, after SKYNET came back online, we’ve tried such an operation. It took us a while to capture a suitable unit. But it ultimately failed.

Kate Brewster:Why?

Rachel Warren:We think SKYNET had tighten its security after the TEMPEST1 incident. Like a firewall, but harder to penetrate. The units that are connected to the download terminals, are double-checked. At least, we assume. We haven’t heard anything from the unit we’ve send, although we have seen it entering the Navajo Complex. Somehow SKYNET found out that the unit was not ‘its property’.

Kate Brewster:Have you been into Cheyenne Mountain, inside? When SKYNET was down?

John Connor:Within these days, we’re gonna attack SKYNET.

Man #1:We’re not gonna make it.

Older man:We are with too less soldiers.

Woman #1:The machines are too strong.

Connor can’t believe his ears. There’s absolutely no hope here.

John Connor:Doesn’t it do anything to you that these machines rule our earth?

Older man:It does, but there’s not much we can do about it now.

John Connor:Let me tell you something. Something my mother taught me some long time ago, before SKYNET even existed. An important message.The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.

Man #2:So what do you mean?

John Connor:We can chance it all. We can take back what was us once. We can turn it around. If only we will fight for it.

Woman #1:Man, you must have lost your mind during that trip of yours.

Man #2:We want it back, you’re right about that. But we don’t have that fighting spirit anymore. It’s a lost case anyway.

John Connor (angry):You all think about what you are giving up. Think about the message, and maybe you will understand.

Connor stands up angry and walks away.

The people are looking at each other.One of Connor’s own men speaks to the crowd.

Soldier Morton:Now you all listen. The man is right. He brought us back from the brink. It was he who caused the fall of SKYNET. If it wasn’t for him, we were probably dead. Hell, we probably ain’t come this far.

092 – INT. – Warren’s room – Colorado hideout – July 3rd 2032 – NIGHT

Rachel Warren:There’s something else you should know. Inside Navajo Mountain, inside SKYNET’s CENTRAL CORE, there is no oxygen.

Kate Brewster:Go on…

Rachel Warren:A reprogrammed unit told me. SKYNET pumped out all the oxygen, and replaced it with pure nitrogen from the spare liquid nitrogen stores, used to cool the equipment. Humans can’t go down to the core, simply because they won’t survive the lack of air.

Kate Brewster:And that’s were our captured units come in.

Rachel Warren:Yes. Those units have to destroy the Mainframe. Another problem we expect is the defense of SKYNET’s Mainframe.

Kate Brewster:SKYNET will place its most powerful creation there to guard it.

Rachel Warren:Probably.

John Connor rushes in.

John Connor:It is time!

093 – EXT. – Battlefield – Colorado Wasteland – July 3rd 2032 – NIGHT

The Navajo Mountain fills the background. Small cities of ruins are located just in front of the mountain. Suddenly a wheel of a truck fills the screen. The second convoy has arrived, hunted and attacked by three Aerial Hunter-Killers. Reprogrammed Terminators are firing back from the top of the trucks, firing at chasing Aerial Hunter-Killers.

The trucks, driving fiercely, are trying to avoid the plasma beams.

A truck is hit and collapse, crashing on the hard cold ground. Unactivated Terminator units fall out of the truck.

A damaged CSM-129 Terminator drives on a motorcycle. A part of the machine side is exposed on his face, showing one red eye. A part of the hand and fingers is damage, revealing more Endoskeleton underneath. With the damaged hand, the Terminator holds a plasma gun and fires back at the Aerial Hunter-Killers.

093AAn Aerial Hunter-Killer is shot with a grenade launcher from one of the Terminators on the truck, and crashes down on an other truck. The truck catches fire.

093BThe second Aerial Hunter-Killer emerges before the first truck of the convoy. A CSM-196 stands on the top of the cabin of the truck. He grabs a pipe bomb and lights it. He jumps from the top of the cabin on the Aerial Hunter-Killer, blinding it with its body. The Aerial Hunter-Killer flies wildly, trying to shake the Terminator off its chassis. The Terminator then slams the pipe bomb into the inside of the Aerial Hunter-Killer, and lets himself fall down. The pipe bomb explodes and the Aerial Hunter-Killer goes down.

093CThe third Aerial Hunter-Killer flies over the convoy, starting to fire in one straight line at the whole convoy.

A rocket flies from offscreen into the last Aerial Hunter-Killer. The Aerial Hunter-Killer crashes down in a fiery explosion.

093DJohn Connor, kneeling on the ground, lowers an empty RPG rocket Launcher. Kate Brewster, Rachel Warren and the T-800 Terminator are standing next to him.

John Connor:Hasta la vista, baby.

The T-800 Terminator looks at Connor, surprised by the one-liner. Connor stands up.

093EConnor’s son Joey steps out of one of the trucks, followed by Justin Perry. They walk to Connor, while the others are checking out the Terminator units that fell out of the trucks.

Joey Connor:Glad you came by.

John Connor:You okay?

Perry nods.

Joey Connor:Yeah. Before I forget, Sarah will arrive sooner than we all expected. They are ahead of schedule.

John Connor:That’s good… very good.

Rachel Warren looks at Navajo Mountain with her binoculars. She is in shock.

Rachel Warren (shouting to everybody):The machines, they are coming!

John Connor (to Kate):Kate, SKYNET must have figured out that we’re going to attack it. Probably figured out the reason of the transports of the units. Now it attacks us before we can attack it with full power.

Kate Brewster (to John):You may be right, but Warren told me these people had no hope. They will probably not fight.

John Connor (to Kate):That’s not the worst thing. I fear SKYNET will pump out its latest model soon enough to strike back.

Kate Brewster (to John):The T-X.

Connor nods.

John Connor (to Kate):Yes. We must strike now, so we can reduce the damage... Attack before SKYNET can unleash the T-X.

Kate Brewster (to John):It will be dangerous. And what about Sarah, we need their cargo.

John Connor (to Kate):There is no time for it. The machines are coming!

Kate Brewster takes a breath.

John Connor (to Kate):Help me out with this Kate.

Connor takes his riffle.

094 – EXT. – Aerial Hunter-Killer Speech – Wasteland – July 3rd 2032 – NIGHT

John Connor climbs on the destroyed Aerial Hunter-Killer. He fires a shot into the air to get the crowd’s attention.

John Connor (shouting to the people):The machines are coming! We must fight back!

The only thing the other humans can do, is to stare at Connor. Not responding. Looking frightened. Maybe thinking to run away and hide for the machines.

Some people turn their back and start to walk back to the hidden hangar.

John Connor (shouting to the people):

You can hide…. but think. All these years we have been hiding. It’s the only thing that we have done since it all started.

The people stop and look back.

Kate walks to Connor and stands behind him, holding a horrible dirty, battered American flag on the background.

John Connor (shouting to the people):Look… after 28 years of fighting the machines, we’ve finally come so far. Now, it’s time. Time to smash those metal motherfuckers into junk. Send them straight to the junkyard.This is the day we’ve been waiting for. Where so many (people) have died for. We not only fight for ourselves, we fight for the entire human race! Make them proud of us! We may be their last, only hope!Are you with me?!

The people shout.

John Connor (shouting harder to the people):The future is up to us!

Connor shouts. He raises his gun.All men and women start to shout, raising their weapons. Kate waves with the battered American flag.

095 – EXT. – Battlefield – Colorado Wasteland – July 3rd 2032 – NIGHT

All the units from the hangar are arriving. The people and activated units place the unactivated units in position, lined up in a number of rows.

Hundreds of unactivated Terminators/Endoskeletons units are activated by the humans. Each unit carries a plasma gun. Hundreds of red eyes fill the rows.

The activated machines scan the environment.

A giant battle is going to happen. The battle of the century, deciding about men’s fate.

The final assault is about to begin.

095AFrom a higher situated position, John Connor and his team watches the Last Army marching to the closing machines. They will meet their opponents in a city of ruins. Destroyed flats and buildings fill the sight. The fight for the future has started.

The humans meet the machines in the city of ruins. They immediately start to fire at each other. All hell is going to break loose.

096AJohn Connor and his team are still standing on the higher situated position.

He starts to walk to the battlefield as Justin Perry holds him back.

Justin Perry:You’re too important! Stay here.

John Connor looks surprised.

John Connor:All my life I have been told I was too important. But sometimes, we have to take the risk of losing our life. Everybody must fight now. That’s the only way to win.

Justin Perry:Not you, John. You must stay alive in case we fail. You must lead the

survivors.

John Connor:We will not fail this time! We decide about our own fate. You can stay here if you want, but I’m going to fight for mankind. You all should.

Connor pushes Perry’s hand aside and strides to the battlefield. Kate Brewster follows Connor. Perry and the rest of the men follow quickly, not letting the guard down on their leaders.

096BA Ground Hunter-Killer drives behind an army of Endoskeletons. Soldiers are firing from a roof of a low building at the Ground Hunter-Killer. The Ground Hunter-Killer turns his gun turrets to them and shoots the soldiers.A reprogrammed T-800 Terminator fires a grenade from a grenade launcher at the ‘head’ of the Ground Hunter-Killer and destroys it.

A pickup truck drives on the wasteland. A soldier, located in the back of the truck, fires a rocket from a RPG rocket launcher at a pursuing Aerial Hunter-Killer and shoots it down. The Aerial Hunter-Killer crashes into a group of Endoskeletons and humans.A Ground Hunter-Killer appears in front of the pickup truck and drives over the truck. The humans can barely escape the car, but are shot down by the Ground Hunter-Killer when they are running away from it. The pickup truck explodes under the weight of the Ground Hunter-Killer. The Ground Hunter-Killer drives further like nothing has ever happened.

A reprogrammed Terminator drops on the ground and FILLS THE SCREEN. Terminated.

A reprogrammed CSM-126 T-800 Terminator stands on top of a building and watches a Ground Hunter-Killer pass the building. The Terminator takes a satchel charge and jumps from the building on the Ground Hunter-Killer. The reprogrammed kamikaze Terminator explodes together with the Ground Hunter-Killer tank.

A Centurion stands on a plate of concrete. Beneath the plate are humans hiding from it. The weight of the Centurion makes the concrete plate brake, and the humans are squeezed to death.

The soldiers are hiding, firing once in a while and hide immediately when the enemy returns fire, while the reprogrammed units keep standing and never hide.

An Endoskeleton without bottom half, crawls on the wasteland, still searching for possible targets. A Ground Hunter-Killer rides over it and crushes the Endoskeleton.

A CSM-176 T-800 Terminator stands on top of another building, but is shot down of it and falls hundreds of meters until it hits the ground. He stands up, and steps further, dragging his left malfunctioning leg. He continues walking and fires at the enemy.

An Aerial Hunter-Killer flies over and shoots four soldiers and a reprogrammed Terminator. The soldiers drop dead on the ground, while the Terminator is only heavily damaged.

A Silverfish crawls over the ground and explodes into three reprogrammed Endoskeletons.

Three soldiers manage to reach a Centurion and hide under it. They place a plastic explosive at one of the legs, set the timer and run away from it. The plastic explodes, and the leg is blown away. The Centurion topples to the earth.

A damaged reprogrammed CSM-156 T-800 Terminator drives a motorcycle, with a burning fuse of a pipe bomb at the back of the motorcycle. He twists the throttle and pops the clutch. The back tire screams on the hard ground. The front wheel lifts off the ground and the heavy motorcycle launches in a thundering wheelie. He gets off just before the motorcycle is slammed into a Ground Hunter-Killer. A enormous explosion occurs. The explosion knocks the Terminator backward off his feet, enveloping him in the fireball. He gets up, smoking, looks at the destroyed Ground Hunter-Killer tank and continues the fight.

A Centurion overruns a human firing position. Soldiers are cut down as they run. Fiery explosions light the ranks of advancing machines.

John Connor is shooting at some distant closing T-850 Endoskeletons. The T-800 Terminator protector is with him, firing at T-900 Endoskeletons.

An Endoskeleton picks up a rocket launcher from a mortally wounded soldier. The Endoskeleton fires at a group of humans. The rocket explodes in the center of the group, hurting the humans badly.

An Aerial Hunter-Killer shoots an escaping vehicle.

A wreckage of a plane lays in the city. It dates from Judgment Day. Suddenly bursts a Fast-Walker Hunter-Killer out of the wreckage. A 2.5-meters tall machine, nicknamed Raptor. It picks with its claw through a reprogrammed Endoskeleton, and destroys it by splitting it in two pieces.

A reprogrammed T-800 Terminator stands on the roof with a rocket launcher. He aims at a group of Endoskeletons, but before he can pull the trigger, an Aerial Hunter-Killer emerges at a side of the roof. The Aerial Hunter-Killer starts to fire, hitting the roof. The roof collapse, and the T-800 Terminator falls with the floor into the rest of the building.

Justin Perry throws a grenade into a group of Infiltrators. The grenade explodes and the Infiltrators are damaged, revealing parts of the Endoskeletons underneath.

John Connor:

We don’t have a choice. We’re going all the way.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Even if it will kill you ultimately?

Connor looks to the T-800 Terminator.

John Connor:Yes. We have a saying… It’s not over until it’s over.

Connor ducks to avoid a plasma beam. Connor pulls the trigger of the plasma gun, returning fire.

John Connor:I guess our stubbornness makes no sense to your machine mind. But our stubbornness is like your programming with only one goal.

The T-800 Terminator looks at Connor.

John Connor:If we enter the complex, you must be send back to 1994. To protect me

from the T-1000. Perry will guide you.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Affirmative.

John Connor:First we have to win this fight.

The two continue firing at the machines.A soldiers next to Connor is shot down.

The humans are losing. Too many of the units have been destroyed by the machines of SKYNET. Soldiers have been shot down. Reprogrammed units lay on the cold, hard ground.

A T-600 Endoskeleton kills two humans with its plasma gun.

An Aerial Hunter-Killer Bomber, a larger, more powerful version of the normal Aerial

Hunter-Killer, flies over the battlefield and destroys a Resistance’s firing position. A heavy truck appears, and a soldier in the back tries to take down the Aerial Hunter-Killer Bomber. The Bomber’s enhanced gun platform destroys the heavy truck with ease.

An Infiltrator walks on the battlefield. Some of his teeth are broken, and the flesh on his face is rotten. One red eye is slammed away by fights in the past.

097 – EXT. – The final assault part 2 – Colorado Wasteland – July 3rd 2032 – LATE NIGHT/EARLY MORNING

A group of Endoskeletons closes on a group of humans, ready to fire… when suddenly headlights flare at them and an airhorn blares. The third and last convoy has arrived, just in time. The Endoskeletons look up as the first front truck smashes the group of Endoskeletons aside. Loose Endoskeleton’s heads roll over the ground.Activated units jump off the trucks, firing their plasma guns at the enemy. Sarah and Fuentes sit behind one of the wheels.

The fight has taken a new course. A course with new hope. With chance.

A T-700 Terminator (cloned flesh) fires his plasma riffle at some humans.

A reprogrammed Terminator and a reprogrammed Endoskeleton hold a T-900 Endoskeleton, deactivating it by striking a steel pipe in its throat.

A damaged Terminator lays on the ground in the far distance. One red dot burns in the darkness of the night. THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN to reveal the face of the Terminator, partly ripped away to reveal one Endoskeleton eye.

A reprogrammed Terminator stands on the roof of a building, dropping pipe bombs into the crowd of enemies at a lower ground.

A soldier sees a man standing with his back to the screen. The soldier runs to the man. The man turns his face to the screen, a human face appears.

Soldier:I’m out of ammo, you have…?

The man turns his head further to the screen to reveal a damaged infiltration face with Endoskeleton exposure. The man aims his plasma riffle and kills the soldier.A reprogrammed Terminator with a plasma riffle enters the battlefield and destroys the Infiltrator.

More enemies are destroyed in the fight.

An sixteen years old boy fires a hand-launched Stinger missile that blows into a Centurion. The Centurion explodes.The boy puts a new shell into the launcher, as a shadow covers him. He looks up to see a CSM-166 T-800 Terminator. The boy aims the launcher and fires at the Terminator. The boy is knocked away by the explosion. The boy regains consciousness and notices some liquid coming out of his left ear. He puts his finger in the ear, and then looks at the finger covered with blood. The boy looks sad as he finds out that he has become deaf on his left ear. He suddenly realizes the Terminator. He looks up to see the Terminator torn in two parts. The both parts make spasm moves as the Terminator dies away. A brief smile covers the boy’s face. He survived a nearby Terminator.

A T-800 Endoskeleton smashes a soldier at the ground. The T-800 Endoskeleton holds the soldier in a steady grip.

T-800 Endoskeleton (dark cold monotone voice):Where is John Connor?

Soldier:Fuck you!

The T-800 Endoskeleton kills the soldier by breaking his neck.

Sarah Connor fires a plasma gun at a T-600 Terminator. The rubber skin melts away from the heat of the plasma beams.

An Endoskeleton grabs a CSM-132 T-800 Terminator and tosses him into the air. The Terminator lands on a damaged, rusty, old police car. The Terminator’s colossal weight crushes the car.

A reprogrammed T-800 Endoskeleton fights a hand-to-hand combat with a T-700 Endoskeleton.

A soldier with his face covered with blood stumbles on the battlefield. He has become blind due to an explosion of a grenade. He stumbles in panic, and falls on the debris on the ground. A damaged T-800 Endoskeleton appears in front of him. The blind soldier notices movement in front of him. The T-800 Endoskeleton looms over the blind soldier. The soldier knows he is helpless and marked for death.

Blind soldier:Not this way. Please don’t kill me.

The T-800 Endoskeleton looks up and reaches out to the man. The T-800 Endoskeleton grabs the man and drags him away to a safe spot. The blind soldier was lucky as the T-800 Endoskeleton turned out to be a reprogrammed unit.

A reprogrammed T-800 Terminator fires his plasma gun from the roof of a ruin building. The plasma gun clicks empty, and the unit drops it. A heavy assault Aerial Hunter-Killer (T3 model) flies by, attacking humans on the ground, not noticing the unit on the roof above. The T-800 unit leaps from the building into one of the Aerial Hunter-Killer’s roaring turbines. The T-800 unit is destroyed in the turbine, but the turbine is also destroyed. The Aerial Hunter-Killer crashes down into the building.The building collapse, because of the Aerial Hunter-Killer crash, and falls down on a group of hostile Terminators.

Ruin buildings are on fire. Explosions happen in the background. Buildings collapse.Toys of a playground are burning. An old, partly destroyed, burning church collapse.

An Aerial Hunter-Killer crashes down on the jungle gym of the burning playground IN SLOW MOTION.

Most enemies are destroyed in the fight.

A damaged T-800 Terminator walks on the battlefield, carrying a rusty crowbar. The crowbar is hooked in the eye of an Endoskeleton’s head.

The humans and reprogrammed units storm to the entrance of the underground

complex.

CUT TO:

098 – INT. – Main hall – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

The reprogrammed units enter the SKYNET Complex. They are attacked by old T-1 Units.

The T-1 Units fire their chainguns empty at the incoming reprogrammed units. Reprogrammed units are damaged by the bullets, but are still functioning. Flesh is ripped away. Blood covers the floor. The T-1 Units with empty chainguns try to ride away from the incoming reprogrammed units, but they can’t drive fast enough to escape them. The reprogrammed units destroy the T-1 Units.

The humans enter the complex.

The environment is completely different compared to the TEMPEST1 Complex in Los Angeles. While the TEMPEST1 Complex had an alien architecture, build by machines, this place was build by humans before the war started. SKYNET had taken over this place to position its backup.

They have entered the main hall of the complex, located inside Navajo Mountain. T-900 Endoskeletons are destroyed by reprogrammed units.

The humans and reprogrammed machines take their positions, trying to oversee every corner of the room and the rooms located next to it. The chance that machines suddenly storm in the room is a possibility. They hold the perimeters.

098AJohn Connor:Where’s the Mainframe?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:SKYNET’s Central Core is down that elevator.

The T-800 Terminator points to two closed doors.

Kate Brewster:We will send units with satchel charges to it. We won’t risk a human live at this point. That place could be full of machines.

Connor orders six reprogrammed T-800 Terminators to go down in that elevator.

John Connor (to the 6 units):Destroy SKYNET’s Mainframe!

The doors swing open, and the 6 units step inside the elevator. Armed with plasma guns, satchel charges, pipe bombs, etc. The doors of the elevator close.

098BJohn Connor looks to Justin Perry.

John Connor (to Justin Perry):Find the Continuum Transporter. Send him back.

Perry nods.

Justin Perry (to T-800 Terminator):Lead the way.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4 (to John and Kate):Good luck.

John Connor:You too.

The T-800 Terminator walks away, followed by Justin Perry and some of his teammates.

099 – INT. – Elevator – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

The units inside the elevator are just standing still, waiting to arrive at their destination.

Suddenly, a blue glare appears from beneath the floor and scans the units (a blue glare like in the T2 trailers). The glare moves from bottom to top inside the elevator.

CUT TO:


The T-800 Terminator, Justin Perry and his teammates are walking in a large corridor.

Armed with plasma guns, they carefully walk to their location.

CUT TO:


The humans are waiting for something to happen.

Kate Brewster:I don’t like this silence, John.

John Connor:I know.

Suddenly the elevator signs the arrival of something at their level.

John Connor:Something is not right here.

The elevator doors swing open, revealing a Terminator with Endoskeleton exposure, artificial blood streaming of his body. The Terminator falls right on his face at the ground, to reveal a T-X Endoskeleton standing in the elevator; the anti-Terminator Terminator. All kind of machine parts lay on the floor of the elevator. The T-X Endoskeleton has destroyed all the units that were send down to the Central Core.

The T-X Endoskeleton steps out the elevator, already charging her plasma cannon for a next attack. In her other hand she carries a satchel charge from one of the destroyed reprogrammed units.

The reprogrammed Terminators storm at the T-X Endoskeleton. The T-X Endoskeleton fires point-blank into the coming crowd, sending them into the air.

A reprogrammed T-800 Endoskeleton steps to the T-X Endoskeleton. The T-X Endoskeleton activates the satchel charge and jams it between two hydraulic cylinders beneath the T-800 Endoskeleton’s armored ribcage. The T-800 Endoskeleton has an instant to react, reaching for the explosive, before it explodes. As the smoke clears, the T-X Endoskeleton is still standing. Her utilitarian chassis is extremely battle-hardened. The T-800 Endoskeleton is destroyed. Other nearby units are extremely damaged.

A human fires a plasma gun at the T-X Endoskeleton. She is unhurt and kills the human with her rotary saw, throwing the rotary saw in the human’s throat.

102 – INT. – Corridor – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

The T-800 Terminator fires his plasma gun at two T-800 Endoskeleton’s. Perry and his men are firing at three T-900 Endoskeletons. The machines are guarding one of their most precious inventions, the Continuum Transporter.

One of the soldiers is hit and drops on the floor.

CUT TO:


The T-X Endoskeleton is on rampage, stopping a few reprogrammed units that attacked her. Already recharging her plasma cannon for her next shot, a few T-800 Terminators step towards her.

From a corner, a reprogrammed CSM-101 T-800 Terminator appears and quickly sneaks behind the T-X Endoskeleton in the elevator. The doors close. The T-800 Terminator grabs a plasma gun from one of the destroyed units and descends with the elevator to SKYNET’s Central Core.

The T-X Endoskeleton looks back as the doors have closed. She then continues her fight, already knowing that something is else is going to take care of it.

104 – INT. – Continuum Transporter room – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

Justin Perry steps in the room, followed by the T-800 Terminator that carries a wounded soldier.

Justin Perry:Time for you to be send back.

The T-800 Terminator puts down the wounded soldier on the floor and walks with Perry to the control panel.

Justin Perry:The year 1994, July…

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4 (interrupting Perry):No, 2029.

Justin Perry:Hell no, your mission is to protect General Connor in 1994.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:I have to do something in 2029 first.

Suddenly Perry understands it all, realizing something important.

Justin Perry:It… it was you!?

Back in TEMPEST1, 2029, it was you that arrived to guide us!You destroyed that facility, just after you send yourself back. You were the cause of that powerdip.

The T-800 Terminator turns to Perry and looks him into the eyes.

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:Yes.

The T-800 Terminator enters the date and location in the control panel.

Justin Perry:Oh my God.

The wounded soldier gasps. The big news takes his breath away.

The T-800 Terminator drops his plasma gun on the ground and starts to strip off his clothes.

Justin Perry:Does John knows this?

CSM-101 T-800 Terminator V2.4:I don’t think that he realized it.

Perry’s jaw hits the ground. He suddenly understands a big part of the loop, but can’t believe it yet.

The T-800 Terminator finishes undressing and drops his clothes on the ground.

105 – INT. – SKYNET’s Central Core – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

From a computer screen, we see a still image of the Continuum Transporter room, zooming in on the T-800’s face. The face is outlined, and fills the screen. Suddenly the image disappears.On an other computer screen, black DOS mode, appears a message:

“Activate; Cyberdyne Systems Model-101, T-850 Series, #55631485”

106 – INT. – Continuum Transporter room – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

The T-800 Terminator steps into the cold, chrome transmission chamber, one bare knee and two hands on the pad.The chamber begins to take on an eerie blue cast. Blue and white electrical sparks appear over the transmission chamber. A small lightning sphere is struck inside the transmission chamber, followed quickly by a bright white flash. The T-800 Terminator has disappeared to the year 2029.

Justin Perry (to wounded soldier):

Can you believe that?

The wounded soldier’s eyes widen, his face shows a frightened emotion.

Justin Perry:What?

Two red dots appear in the shadow behind Perry. Before Perry can turn to watch his back, a fist is slammed from behind through his stomach. Perry looks down at his stomach, seeing the fist moving through it. Perry gasps for air.The fist draws back, and Perry’s body drops on the ground. From behind him, a naked, just activated CSM-101 T-850 Terminator steps out of the shadows. One side of the face still in the shadow, a red bright burning eye. The other side of the face out of the shadow, the eye looking normal, humanoid, not red burning.

The wounded soldier tries to crawl away to reach the plasma gun that the T-800 Terminator dropped minutes before, but the T-850 Terminator steps to him and crushes his skull with his feet. He takes the plasma gun from the ground.

The T-850 walks towards the pile of clothes. He picks up the T-800’s clothes and looks at it.

CUT TO:


John Connor and Kate Brewster are divided from each other, due the activity of the T-X Endoskeleton.

Several reprogrammed units are holding the T-X Endoskeleton. They slam her into a high-voltage distribution box. They slam her into the power box for a second time, as the metal box shorts across the 2200-volt copper bus bar in a shower of white-hot sparks. The T-X Endoskeleton and the reprogrammed units both stiffen, their servos going into overload, dedicate control circuits shunting to protected areas as the high voltage slams into their metal skeletons and courses through their systems. The reprogrammed units keep pushing for a sufficient time, resulting in the destruction of both their central processors. They collapse and drop on the ground, followed by the destroyed T-X Endoskeleton. White sparks appear out the eyes and mouths of the destroyed machines, and quickly fade away.

CUT TO:


The T-850 Terminator walks in the large corridor, now fully dressed in the T-800’s clothes, carrying a plasma gun. The T-850 walks into the direction of the main hall. He passes killed soldiers and machines that lay on the ground.

109 – INT. – SKYNET’s Central Core – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – EARLY MORNING

The elevator doors open, and the T-800 steps out of the elevator into a twilight room.

SKYNET’s Mainframe is located at one side of a wall. The Mainframe itself is connected with four big, gray plates, centered by a circular form with faintly glowing red lights. The high-power low-mass equipment is super-cooled by spare liquid nitrogen stores.

Suddenly… out of the shadows steps a T-X Endoskeleton. Her blue eyes glowing in the dark. She strides towards the T-800.The T-800 notices the Mainframe and aims the plasma gun at it. Before he can pull the trigger, the T-X reaches him and crushes the plasma gun with her metal claw. The T-800 drops the plasma gun and grabs the T-X Endoskeleton at her long throat. He pushes her into a metal wall. The T-X forms her left hand into a rotary saw and cuts in the T-800’s face, cutting away the flesh. A stream of artificial blood runs from his head. The T-800 pushes away the rotary saw with a fierce blow.

CUT TO:


A new T-X Endoskeleton enters the main hall, and immediately steps towards John Connor. Connor runs away, followed by some human soldiers.

Kate Brewster sees the T-X Endoskeleton following John Connor, and strides after the T-X with five reprogrammed protecting T-800 units.

Several hostile units of the T-900 and T-800 Series have entered the room and start to shoot down people. Chaos is everywhere.

John Connor runs into the large corridor where Perry and the T-800 Terminator walked minutes before.

CUT TO:


A human soldier flies against a metal wall. His belly is ripped open by a plasma bolt from the T-X Endoskeleton.

The T-X Endoskeleton steps into the network of corridors.She jams her rotary saw into a soldier’s face.

CUT TO:


Kate runs with five protecting machines after John Connor and his men.

Kate Brewster (to a unit):Please tell me today’s date is still July 3rd?!

Protecting unit:

Today it’s July 4th 2032.

Kate Brewster:Oh God!

Kate Brewster starts to run even harder.

CUT TO:


John Connor fires his plasma gun at the T-X Endoskeleton. The T-X Endoskeleton is not hurt by the plasma bolts, thanks to her hardened battle chassis. The plasma shots only slow her down reaching her target.

The last two soldiers that are with Connor fire their plasma guns at the T-X Endoskeleton, while Connor himself runs further into the large corridor.

113AA dark distant figure comes from the opposite site, and Connor recognizes it as the T-800 Terminator who was supposed to be send back. The figure comes closer and Connor sees the same face and the same clothes that the T-800 Terminator was dressed in.

Connor reaches the machine.

John Connor:What are you doing here?!

The Terminator doesn’t react. Connor looks back to see the T-X Endoskeleton killing the last two soldiers.

John Connor:Help me!

The Terminator suddenly grabs John Connor at his throat with one hand. He lifts him up single-handed.

John Connor:What are you doing?!

Connor realizes something’s not right, but terrible wrong!

Connor is running out of breath. He had been warned for this accident in the past, but he thought it could be prevented. Now it is actually happening.

John Connor:You don’t have to do this!

Connor knows the machine won’t listen. The man that was a father-figure for him in the past is his assassin now.

John Connor (with his last breath):We’ll meet again.

The T-850 Terminator looks at Connor with as much surprise that is possible for a machine.

We hear a snap, and Connor’s lifeless body hangs in the hand of the machine.

113DThe T-850 Terminator drops Connor’s body. The T-X Endoskeleton walks to the T-850 Terminator and kneels down next the body. She then jams her hand into Connor’s stomach. She puts the blood covered finger in her machine mouth to sample it for the DNA structure.

The T-850 Terminator checks Connor’s pocket. He finds a paper and unfolds it. The paper is a list with 22 names of lieutenants of the Human Resistance. He saves the list into his database.

113ETermoVision P.O.V.The T-850 Terminator connects his database to the SKYNET Mainframe and sends the information about the lieutenants.

113FKate Brewster and her five protecting units run into the two machines. Kate sees John’s dead body. She shouts and screams of emotions.

Kate Brewster:No….!

The T-850 Terminator looks up and fires his plasma gun at Kate.

A protecting T-800 Terminator pushes Kate aside. The plasma bolt hits Kate’s shoulder. Blood splatters from Kate’s shoulder against the wall.

The T-850 Terminator takes a step towards Kate, but then looks at the T-X Endoskeleton. She looks at him. The T-850 Terminator stops and turns away to investigate John Connor’s body, while the T-X Endoskeleton starts chasing Kate and her protectors.

The T-X Endoskeleton walks to the blood on the wall and samples it. She saves it in her database and connects it to the SKYNET Mainframe.She then continuous the chase.

113GAll the five protecting T-800 units run after Kate to block a direct shot for the T-X Endoskeleton.

The T-X Endoskeleton forms her plasma cannon and fires at the group, sending an T-800 unit into the air. The T-800 unit drops dead next to Kate.

One of the four remaining units runs to the T-X Endoskeleton and smacks it fist into her metal face. The T-800 Terminator lifts his fist another time and strikes it towards the T-X’s face, but the fist is caught by the T-X’s left hand. The T-X Endoskeleton forces the T-800 Terminator to kneel down and strikes with her knee into his face. She then lifts the unit with both hands are throws it into two coming units.

Kate fires her plasma gun at the T-X Endoskeleton. The T-X is hit but not damaged. She continues fighting Kate’s protectors.

The T-X Endoskeleton slams her fist through the flesh of an other T-800 unit and holds the unit by one of its hydraulics inside. She gives the unit a powerful uppercut with her other hand. The head cracks off the body because of the brute force. The headless T-800 unit drops on the floor.

The T-X Endoskeleton grabs a T-800 unit and smacks it into the roof. The unit falls down on the ground and the T-X Endoskeleton grabs it. The T-X Endoskeleton throws the unit away against a wall.

A T-800 Terminator grabs the T-X Endoskeleton and pushes her into a wall. The wall crumbles off. The T-800 smashes the T-X Endoskeleton against a door. The door shatters. The T-X Endoskeleton quickly forms her hand into the plasma cannon and fires point-blank into the units face. The unit goes dead while it crashes through a wall and lands in another room. A gold colored spark surrounds the unit’s Endoskeleton underneath the living skin.

One of the last two protectors runs to the T-X Endoskeleton and jumps into her. The T-800 and the T-X Endoskeleton fall back through the partly destroyed wall and start to fight behind it. The T-800 jams a pipe onto the T-X Endoskeleton’s head, but she is unhurt. The pipe is bent.

The T-800 unit grabs the T-X Endoskeleton and smashes her into a cupboard. The T-X Endoskeleton steps out of the rests of the destroyed cupboard and throws the T-800 unit into the air. The floor cracks open under the weight of the landing T-800 unit.

113HFrom outside the left T-800 unit and Kate hear some weird noises. A final crack is heard and then it is silent.

A shadow appears from the other side of the hole in the wall. The T-X Endoskeleton steps through the hole and walks directly at Kate and the left T-800 unit. As she becomes closer to Kate and the T-800 unit, the T-X Endoskeleton suddenly stops.

CUT TO:

114 – INT. – SKYNET’s Central Core – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – MORNING

A heavily damaged T-800 has lost major parts of his flesh. The T-X Endoskeleton has completely beaten the shit out of him. The T-X Endoskeleton grabs the T-800 on his back and tosses him to ground. The T-800 lands on his hands and knees, but before he can react, the T-X Endoskeleton already kicks him in his belly. The T-800 flies into the air. The T-X Endoskeleton walks to him.

The T-X Endoskeleton forms her right hand into her plasma cannon, as she stands before the T-800. She aims her plasma cannon directly at the T-800’s head. The T-

800 knows this will mean the end of his artificial life. The T-X Endoskeleton’s plasma cannon starts to glow.With one final movement, the T-800 pushes with all his strength the T-X’s plasma cannon aside, just at the moment the T-X Endoskeleton fires it. A plasma bolt just misses the T-800’s head, but hits the ear that is immediately burned away. The plasma bolt flies further, directly at SKYNET’s Mainframe that was located behind the T-800. The T-X Endoskeleton lets out a demonic metal scream as she knows what she has done.

114AThe plasma bolt hits the Mainframe. A dark blue spark surrounds the Mainframe, just before it explodes.

114BThe two fighting figures are caught in the fire of the explosion. They just fight further, as the roof starts to break down. Pieces of the roof fall next to the two machines, as suddenly one big piece falls down and covers them both.

The T-X Endoskeleton looks at Kate Brewster and the remaining T-800 unit. The T-800 unit steps in front of Kate, just in case the T-X Endoskeleton might do something unexpected.

115AT-X TermoVision P.O.V.Messages appear on the blue TermoVision of the T-X. New parameters are entered in encrypted statements, unreadable for humans.

115BThe T-X Endoskeleton turns and walks away, leaving the T-800 unit and Kate Brewster. They are not important anymore. She has a higher purpose to serve at this moment.The T-X Endoskeleton walks into an other room.

115CKate Brewster can’t understand it.

Kate Brewster:What? Why?

T-800 unit:SKYNET has changed her mission parameters for a last attempt.

Kate Brewster:Last attempt of what?

T-800 unit:To ensure its survival. SKYNET is destroyed.

A tear falls down of Kate’s eye.

Kate Brewster:You mean SKYNET is destroyed? We have won the war?

T-800 unit:Yes.

Kate takes a breath.

Kate Brewster (whispering to John):Thank you.

She kisses John on his mouth.A tear falls from Kate’s face on John’s face. Kate starts to cry even harder.

The main hall is covered with dead bodies; both human and machine bodies.

T-900 and T-800 Endoskeletons stand completely still. They are not functional anymore because of the destruction of the Mainframe. Other hostile machines of different Series stand still.

Men and women are helping each others. Reaching each other their hands.

The humans look surprised, relieved…

The reprogrammed units look emotionless. Their job is done. The Mainframe is destroyed.

A soldier looks up. He can’t believe his own eyes. He turns to his comrades with an idiot grin.

His comrades start to smile also. They raise their hands and start to cheer.

117 – INT. – Continuum Transporter room – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – MORNING

The death bodies of Justin Perry and the wounded soldier lay on the cold ground.

A naked feet ENTERS THE SCREEN. A perfect, nude, blond woman walks towards the Continuum Transporter from the control panel. Her footfalls are whisper soft across the bare tile floor as she soles to the transmission chamber, although she weights in excess of 150 kilos.

Although it is a fantastic and emotional scene, it’s probably best removed here and used some scenes later, so that John’s end narration fits in nicely with Kate’s last words to John.


She assumes the position, one knee and two hands on the pad as the sphere closes. She bows her head, her eyes stare straight down.

The Continuum Transport powers up, and the cold, chrome chamber takes on a luminescent, electric blue aura. Blue and white electrical sparks appear over the transmission chamber. A small lightning sphere is struck inside the transmission chamber, followed quickly by a bright white flash.

The T-X has disappeared.

118 – INT. – Liquid press room – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – MORNING

Winn approaches the door and patches into a control plate with a small probe. He hacks the coded sequence and then hurriedly steps away. Locking bolts are electronically slammed back and the door cracks open, accompanied by the hiss-whoosh of a vacuum being filled.

Sarah Connor steps across the threshold, aiming her combat light at the far side of the room, then gapes. Fuentes and Winn come up behind her, adding their lights to hers.

They are looking at a massive machine press that fills floor to ceiling. Still warm feeder pipes emerges from the walls and centers on the steaming press, forming a hub, or a web. They walk underneath them to the place where the two 20-ton plates meet and peer within the small gap there. It is only large enough for a single man or woman to step between and there is an indention in each of the plates, an indention in the shape of a humanoid form. Sarah Connor squints at something gleaming at the edge of a small round opening positioned where the neck of a human would be in the lower indention. She squats, and shines her light at what has caught her eye. She carefully extends the tip of her plasma rifle down into the indention, using the barrel of the well used weapon to prod what appears to be a large drop of liquid mercury. As the barrel of her rifle touches the liquid it flows onto the barrel of her rifle and seems to soak in, disappearing. Sarah Connor carefully withdraws her rifle from the indention and holds it out in front of her, shining her light on the blackened snout of the weapon. Fuentes and Winn join her and again ad the illumination from their lights to hers.

Fuentes is the first to speak as Sarah Connor turns her weapon slowly one way and then the other, studying the barrel and snout.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:Where did it go?

Winn studies the snout of the weapon, as if he is a man about to see God. Winn carefully edges his face closer to the barrel of the weapon, and then draws in a heavy breath, pulling back a good foot, unaware that he has even been holding his breath. Winn could discern a subtle lump, maybe only two millimeters or so higher than the original surface of the barrel of the weapon, covering it completely and circumferentially.

TechCom technician Winn (whispering):It's right there...

Winn realizes he is whispering.

TechCom soldier Fuentes:Where?

Winn looks at Fuentes.

TechCom technician Winn:There on the end of the barrel of the gun...

Fuentes involuntarily winces at Winn's nomenclature for the rifle but he lets it pass with a reserved sigh.

TechCom technician Winn:...It appears that the liquid has bonded to the material of the barrel and mimicked it almost flawlessly. Amazing...

Fuentes huffs and shifts his own rifle on its sling to a more comfortable position. He shifts the beam of his combat light to the upper layers of the chamber that they are standing in. It is hot in there, humid, whatever the press had been used to create had taken a lot of pressure, a lot of heat, and apparently, a lot of energy. His light casts a visible beam through the steam as his mind takes in the truly incredible machine that they has discovered, and the part of his brain that constructed the darkest of nightmares, begins to work on his subconscious.

119 – INT. – Corridor – SKYNET Complex Navajo Mountain – July 4th 2032 – MORNING

Kate Brewster arrives by Connor’s body. The T-850 Terminator stands motionless next to the body. With SKYNET destroyed, the machine operating in hive-mode, doesn’t function anymore. She kneels down and bends over the body. She starts to cry.She closes John’s eyes with one hand.

OMITTED SCENES

Original opening.This is the opening that I first wrote down and had in mind for the introduction of Judgment Day in the movie. John Connor tells in the third movie that the VIP’s never got the warning. This intro played with the idea that they did get the warning, but that the President just didn’t survive it. The new intro is the latest thing that I wrote down for the complete script.I replaced this intro at the last moment. The new intro shows that it is dr. Silberman now who lives in Sarah’s nightmare, while the female psychologist is the one that acts like dr. Silberman at the time he investigated the case Kyle Reese in the first Terminator movie.

Black screen.

John Connor (voice-over):If not for my greatest enemy, I would not have been born…If not for my greatest enemy, I would not be…

DISSOLVE TO:

001 – EXT. – White House – Washington – July 25th 2004 – DAY

A normal sunny day.A vendor has his stand with magazines placed in front of the White House. He’s selling all kinds of magazines. A man and a woman, two tourists, a couple, are watching some postcards and discussing which cards to buy. The man takes a look at his wallet. It says “18:18”.

Man (to his wife):Would you please hurry up. We’re running late.

A business man walks into the frame and takes a newspaper. He turns the page and looks at the sports articles.

ANGLE ON the date at the page of the newspaper. It says “25 July 2004”.

The business man smiles when he sees the results of his favorite football team. He takes his wallet and quickly pays the vendor. He walks out of the frame and we see the tourist couple again.

Suddenly all kinds of noises come from the White House. Security agents are running around the building and shout to each other. Chaos.

The tourists drop the cards and take each other’s hand. The newspaper is dropped on the street (into the frame), while the CAMERA PANS UP to reveal the business man’s face.

Business man (frightened):Oh my God!

All the people are looking terrified at the sky.

The presidential chopper takes off from the White House… but is too late.

CAMERA PANS UP to the sky to reveal a missile coming in.

The couple kisses. Women start to cry, men are panicking.

Then the missile hits the ground… The presidential chopper tries to fly away, but is caught by the nuclear blast.

Aerial Hunter-Killer chaseAs already stated in the script itself, a little scene of the Aerial Hunter-Killer chase is omitted.

In the first part of the chase, John Connor and the protecting T-800 fly over a battlefield where humans are fighting against the machines after the reactivation of the SKYNET Mainframe. John and the T-800 are followed by four Aerial Hunter-Killers.

As they fly over the battlefield, the humans think that they are the enemy and fire a rocket at our heroes’ Aerial Hunter-Killer. The T-800 manages to dodge the rocket, but their Aerial Hunter-Killer gets some damage. The rockets flies into a building and explodes.

Radio Communication CenterAnother omission is a part where John Connor has a conversation via a radio. He speaks via the radio with the Colorado people and some European/Russian Resistance members. I had this scene in thought to show a little glimpse of life at the other side of the Pacific Ocean. The scene happens in the first part of the script, where John Connor is still located in Los Angeles. The people from Colorado were the first indication that SKYNET’s (first) Mainframe was based out in Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs.

The European and Russian humans have (re)captured a facility where one nuclear missile is unused. They ask via the radio what to do, ‘cause they don’t have much time since SKYNET is already trying to take back the facility. John Connor says that they shouldn’t activate the missile, so that the people of Colorado will stand a chance to survive. The Colorado people instead say that the European/Russian people have to activate the missile, so that SKYNET is destroyed once and for all. The want to sacrifices themselves for the survival of mankind. The European/Russian humans decide and push the button to activate the nuclear warhead.

I have created three endings for this scene:

1. The nuclear missile flies over the Pacific Ocean toward Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado, but before it reaches the SKYNET complex, a satellite destroys it above the Pacific Ocean with a laser beam. The European/Russian humans get killed as John and the Colorado people can hear through the communication devices.I didn’t like this part, because it a) sounds too futuristic and b) if SKYNET’s satellites can destroy a missile with a laser beam, then they easily can search for humans on the ground and destroy them.

2. The nuclear missile flies over the Pacific Ocean toward Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado, but before it reaches the SKYNET complex, an Aerial Hunter-Killer flies away from the continent and flies into the missile above the Pacific Ocean. The missile explodes and the radioactive parts spread through the sea. The European/Russian humans get killed as John and the Colorado people can hear through the communication devices.The best ending of three, but I didn’t feel comfortable with it, so I dropped it.

3. The nuclear missile flies over the Pacific Ocean toward Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado, and hits Cheyenne Mountain. The mountain is destroyed, but the secure cabin inside is exposed to the outside. The chrome, metal pyramid stands coldly on the surface. The people from Colorado are exposed to the radioactive parts, and get cancer.This ending, although a good explanation to show the metal pyramid, was dropped because the humans from Los Angels still had to travel to Colorado. They wouldn’t travel to it if they know they will get cancer and other sickness.

EMPMy first thought to win the battle before entering Navajo Mountain was to use EMP’s; Electro Magnetic Pulses. Reprogrammed Terminator would appear on the battlefield and go to tactical positions. When they reached a tactical position, they would activate the EMP and all machines in the environment would be taken out, including the hostile machines. This sounded too much like Matrix, and the fact that it was too difficult to make an EMP for humans (although reprogrammed units could have helped them), were the reasons to omit it.

Fake John ConnorThe use of fate was different in the previous Terminator movies. While the first two movies state that the future is what we make of it, the third movie chooses destiny, so things are meant to be. This script chooses a path with both choices. Some things are destined to happen; like Judgment Day and John becoming the leader of the Human Resistance. Other things can be changed, like the dates of Judgment Day. Nonetheless, my thought was that the Terminator saga is a great loop, where some things are set to happen. Whether they are postponed or not, these things will happen… sooner or later.

First I had in mind to use a different John Connor figure for the second part of the script, when they go to Colorado. That other John Connor figure would be (stand-in) double, for the case that an infiltrator would succeed and kill Connor. The ‘normal’ John Connor would then live and continue to lead the human resistance, while SKYNET thought that John Connor was killed.I thought of Michael Edwards, the actor that played the old John Connor in the future war scene of Terminator 2. He would be killed by the T-850, and then the normal John Connor played by Nick Stahl would appear to start the final attack on SKYNET. This idea corrected the use of an other actor that played Connor in the Terminator 2 future war scene.I choose not to use this story of a fake John Connor, because a) the normal John Connor would get too less screentime and b) although his death could have been prevented, I liked to do something else with John’s fate. I showed that John’s complete life was connected with SKYNET. Thanks to SKYNET John Connor was born and thanks to SKYNET John Connor died. I liked this idea, so I choose for this option.
