This term in music class the grade 5/6 students have learnt about diatonic chords (chords made form the notes of a particular key). We have looked at common pop chord progressions and learnt chords I through to VI in the major key of C. We have practiced these chords on the guitar and the piano and began composing pieces of music using these chords. This can be a very difficult concept to understand, but the grade 5/6 students fully embraced the challenge and made great progress!
