Term 4, Week 5 15 November 2018 Kia ora, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Bula vinaka, Fakatalofa, Fakaalofa atu, Kia orana! We have 15 more days of school left! I find this both exciting and scary, there seems so much to complete before the end of the year and yet there are so many great achievements to celebrate. As part of our end of year celebrations, we are holding a Cultural Extravaganza on Friday 7 December. This will be a brilliant night where all students will perform and there will be plenty of food vendors. We are even putting down a hāngī! We still need some support on the night to serve the hāngī if you are availabl e to help between 4:30pm and 7:00pm please email [email protected] Thank you so much to all the people who help to make Waitākiri such a special place. A special thanks to the Board of Trustees and the PTA. We really appreciate all the support! We are holding a Parent Helper morning tea on Tuesday 11 December at 10:30am as a small thanks from the staff. The junior athletics was a great success! Thank you again for your support. Congratulations to the seniors who made it through to the Canterbury Triathlon today and the Canterbury Athletics next week. Best wishes, go well!! Take care as we move into the festive season. COMMUNITY NOTICES

Chisnallwood PTA As you begin your time associated with Chisnallwood, the PTA would love to meet you. Currently the PTA has three active members. As an intermediate PTA it runs somewhat differently than your current primary school PTA so we would love to welcome you to our team. We attend discos helping sell lollies and glow sticks once a term, and also attend the open night and year 8 formal. We meet termly or when needed and our main roll is to be seen at events and assist the staff with numbers. We have organised one fundraiser for the year in recent years and it is a great way to hear what is going on at Chisnallwood behind the scenes forming great relationships with staff. Please contact us on either, [email protected] or on Facebook https://m.facebook.com/ChisnallwoodPTA/
