School Sport Australia—Under 12 Netball Carnival
In September, Kelis Jackson–Mar%n travelled to Canberra to par%ci-
pate in the Na%onal Under 12 Netball Carnival for a week. Kelis was
selected to represent the Budgies Indigenous Team and played
against other States and Territories of Australia. She par%cipated in
games of netball against the best under 12 netball players from
around the na%on. Playing in 14 games over the week, the Budgies
managed to come away with 6 victories including an impressive win
against Victoria. Kelis shared the week playing with two other stu-
dents from Port Augusta and had the opportunity to visit Parliament
House, the Australian Ins%tute of Sport and to watch the Australian
Women’s Basketball team play China. Well done on this achieve-
ment and the excellent efforts given while par%cipa%ng in the carni-
val.
