PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE School Operations
Students are well and truly back in the full swing of
onsite learning. It has been a very successful and
smooth transition back to normal face to face
lessons.
Last week we saw the recommencement of music
lessons and the opportunity to return to presenting
awards at assemblies, as well as singing the
anthem and happy birthday at Monday morning
assemblies.
From the start of Term 3 an increased number of
activities will be permitted at school if NSW Health
recommendations remain the same. These
activities include Gathering (with no parents/
visitors), using school oval for sports, events,
Scripture lessons, school banking and P and C
meetings limited to numbers and space.
Parents will still not be permitted on site and will
continue to drop off and pick up their children from
the school gate.
All approved external visitors to our school must
now complete and sign an External Visitors to
School Site form before they are allowed onto the
school site.
Reports
Teachers have been extra busy writing student
reports for this semester. They will be sent home
with the oldest child in the family this Friday, 26th
June. The Semester One report will be in a
modified format given the different circumstances
we have had this year.
We are not able to schedule face to face meetings
at present with current restrictions and will be able
to arrange phone interviews for parents wishing to
discuss their child’s report with teachers. The class
mobile phone numbers can be used to message
teachers to arrange a time for discussion on
phone, Skype or Zoom.
Merit Awards
Congratulations to the children who were
recognised with a Merit Award on Friday for
making an extra effort in the past week and
achieving success at school. While we are not
able to hold Gathering’s, we will be presenting
Merit Awards on Friday mornings to our high
achieving students.

3/4 – Colin and Kiarli
5/6 – Lilly and Ayham
Transition
Our Transition class is planned to commence next
term each Thursday, from 23rd July. If you know of
any family interested or a child eligible to attend,
please ask them to contact the school for more
details and so we know who to expect next term!
Building Improvements
Our classrooms are even more comfortable now in
any weather with the brilliant air-conditioning that
was installed during the last school vacation. The
classrooms are much warmer at present and
provide a much better climate for learning.
It also means we no longer rely on gas for heating
and are able to use the solar power we generate
every day from the large 15kw solar system
installed on the 3/4 classroom roof.
Our other improvement project, the nature play
area, has been delayed with the weather and we
are confident that the earthworks, foundations and
retaining walls will be completed in time for final fit
out and use at the start of Term 3.
Star Awards
“You’re a Star Award” certificates were presented
this morning to students who have been using the
You Can Do It keys to success and demonstrating
persistence, resilience, organisation, getting along
and confidence.
Congratulations to our recipients: Jazayah and
Caeden.
These ‘keys’ are instant rewards given daily to
encourage use of the ‘5 keys to success’-
persistence, resilience, organisation, getting along
and confidence.
While the Star Room is temporarily non-operational,
the children receiving Star Awards get priority to use
our mini golf course each day.

before the end of the term.

that has all of the details, please send us a
message on Seesaw, our class phone or call the
