National Reconciliation Week
National Reconciliation Week is held every year between 27 May and 3 June and is framed by two significant dates in Australia's history which best symbolise the hopes and aims for reconciliation. May 27 marks the anniversary of the 1967 referendum in which over 90 per cent of Australians voted to give the Commonwealth the power to make laws for Aboriginal people. June 3 marks the anniversary of the High Court's judgement in the Mabo case in 1992. More Info:

ZONE NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP Congratulations to Florence and Amelia for representing South Sydney at the Zone Sydney East Netball Championships on Tuesday 19th May. The girls put in a huge effort on the day and played with persistence and a positive attitude.
DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY On Wednesday 20th May, a group of 8‐12 year old BSPS cross country runners attended the South Sydney District Cross Country Carnival. All BSPS students are to be commended on their outstanding and impressive efforts on the day. HUGE congratulations! to Oliver T for coming in 5th place, and Finn W for achieving 1st place, becoming the champion runner for the 8/9 year old age group within our district. They will both be representing South Sydney at the Regional Cross Country Carnival.
