This week has been a me of fun, special goodbyes and warm welcomes to new members of our community. Our year 7 students enjoyed their graduaon ceremony on Tuesday and have ended the year in good spirits. They are looking forward to creang excing memories next year at high school. Monday night was also great fun. Thanks to Anna for her hard work and choreography and to the staff for their support. A special thank you to the parents who were here early Monday morning to help set up and those who stayed late to help pack up – your help is always appreciated! The end of year concert is a fabulous night where our diverse community come together to celebrate our students. The children love seeing you in the audience as they entertain you with their talents. Today we not only farewelled our Year 7 students, but several other students and families who are moving on. We wish them the best of luck in their new school communies. We also farewell several staff members, Ryan Benne, Stephanie Tarnay, Maria DAnocchia, Laura Eliseo and Sybila Ford are all moving on in 2019, and we wish them every success for the future. Karen Jones will also be on leave for term 1. 2019 will see several new staff joining our team, including our new Principal Melissa Evans and Assistant Principal, Michael Cain. Anna Pellew and Emily White will be joining us in year 4, and Koah Barbary in STEM. Elena Nardecchia-Paice will be our Italian teacher. I know that our wonderful community will make them feel very welcome in 2019. Lastly, I would like to thank you all for your support of our wonderful staff and students at Norwood Primary. Dear Families, As we end the year together, I wish the very best of health and happiness to everyone, and hope that you all have a relaxing break, enjoying time with family and friends. This week has been a time of fun, special goodbyes and warm welcomes to new members of our community.

Our year 7 students enjoyed their graduation ceremony on Tuesday and have ended the year in good spirits. They are looking forward to creating exciting memories next year at high school. Monday night was also great fun. Thanks to Anna for her hard work and choreography and to the staff for their support. A special thank you to the parents who were here early Monday morning to help set up and those who stayed late to help pack up – your help is always appreciated! The end of year concert is a fabulous night where our diverse community come together to celebrate our students. The children love seeing you in the audience as they entertain you with their talents.

Today we not only farewelled our Year 7 students, but several other students and families who are moving on. We wish them the best of luck in their new school communities. Uniform Shop—Thank You! Once again a massive thanks to the one and only Jocelyn (aka Lachy’s mum) who does an incredible

job in our uniform shop along with her amazing group of volunteers— Deb (mum of Maggie), Suzanne

(mum of Evie and Erin), Lesley (mum of Sucre) and Caroline (mum of Alex and Lara).

We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you would like to help out in 2019,

please have a chat with Jocelyn, Kerri or Tracey in the front office.

In other uniform shop news, we are pleased to announce we now have

Norwood Primary School backpacks available at a cost of $45.

Please note the uniform shop will be closed during the holidays, but will re-open Week 1,

Tuesday 29th Jan, Wednesday 30th Jan, Thursday 31st Jan and Friday 1st Feb

between 8:45 and 9:30am.

Normal trading hours will resume from Week 2—Tuesday and Friday 8:45 to 9:30am.

Music Theatre Camp 2019—’The Greatest Show’

Pelican Productions is once again excited to present MTC 2019 – The Greatest Show. In its fifteenth year, MTC takes the best of the best from Broadway and the West End and presents a music theatre performance like no other.

This year's performance includes scenes from one of the newest shows on broadway 'Mean Girls', the hugely popular 'Greatest Showman', and old favourites 'Cats', 'Fame', 'Pippin', 'Madagascar' and 'Mamma Mia'. With performers from schools and universities around the state, the talent is really incredible. NPS student Maggie Madigan has a role in the show as well as ex NPS students Daisy Madigan and Stef Scriver and it would be fabulous to see some familiar faces in the audience!

Music News It’s been a busy term for music students, with many

working hard to complete the 40 Piece Challenge

and some doing AMEB exams as well.

Congratulations to everyone who also performed at

the recent lunchtime music concert in Dunstan Hall -

there were some wonderful performances!
