Before we begin,

My Style of Presenting:

The style of this portfolio was made/organized based on my personality rather than over-

used corporate style. Because I sincerely hope that I could show you my true personalities

such as likes and dislikes; and that you could imagine me as I explained my works; and since

Im more of a goofy person so, I m going to present my portfolio in a not so corporate yet

down to earth style to you. Heh.

By the way,

Warning:

I would actually like to warn you that the content of this supposedly portfolio was rather

ample, so if you would just like to so what I have done only, you can just see the snap shot ofsome of my w orks content. Haha.

Though I would be much appreciated that you could use your precious (?) time to go through

some of my works slow and carefully, since Im actually a jack of all trades (but master of

none), but the most boastful skill that I would like show off is not how I manage to use

Vegas to edit video of that I know how to use illustrator but the fact that I loves story telling

especially stories that leaves hint and vague ends or story that leaves profound moral issues

that will non-stop nagging you.

Title: Eyes Winderer

Front and Back view of the comic book

Year: 2008Event/Purpose: Assignment.This is an assignment given by the lecturer where he demands that each of our group thinks

out a super hero that has power that has not yet been seen in any super hero franchises.

Using Adobe Photoshop edited photos, he gave us a limitation of 15 pages to make a comic,

hence this explained the somewhat short and brief story, or this is what I prefer to call it as a

prologue to Eyes Winderer.

Concept: this is a story that based its origins about my vague understanding about the

subconscious imbued with my love for theVideo Game Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3.

World/Environment: In this storys world, there exist 2 realms: the Awakened Realm (whichalso known as the Land under the Winds) and the Sleeping Realm (the Land under the

Minds) that only selected few may enter, most of our events will take place in this Realm;

this is a Realm where minds sleep, not to be awakened. These subconscious are representedby those closed eyes that are floating individually.

Synopsis: This is a story about a girl named Rain Wave who suddenly found herself attractedby a hooded guy into the Lands under the Minds. Prior this event, she had been having odd

dreams and could not even remember what happened when she was young. By entering that

land, she realized that she was somehow chosen to be the 267 th Eyes Winderer, a guardian of

that realm, when she would have to guard those sleeping eyes, which each represent one

individuals subconscious. However this attracted another resident of that realm. A briefbattle began and as quickly as she came, after inflicting minor damage she vanished. The

hooded man declared that Rain is the 247th Eyes Winderer.

Follow-Ups: This comic is more likely a prequel, a setting stage, there are many moreunsolved mysteries that were hinted throughout the book, indicating the relationship

between Rain and the Resident, and of course Rains hidden memories.

Notes about this project/assignment:This story was actually incomplete, I mean the worlds bible is fully established everything

was rather vague, hence the hints and tips scattered around the comic book, plus theres thetime constraint, so we gotta limit the info that we can give and made them into hints. To

(Simpulan Bahasa), in my case Serkap Jarang- Make vague assumption without prior

investigation.

Synopsis: Hafiz dashed and lashed out at Chong, accusing her of taking his name tag. Chongwas confused. Instead, Dewi who was sitting at another side told hafiz that he had it all along:

Title:Mimo and Momi: The Stupid Chase

Year: 2010Event/Purpose: a Special project initiated under the orders of the university and with thehelp of the Aspati Sdn. Bhd. Trainers.

Synopsis: This is a simple story about 2 robots chasing each other for the energy source, theystarted off as partners in seeking to refill their energy gauge, but when they realized there

was only one energy source, they unanimously fought over it. Each time one of them got the

source, it would somehow lose it and the other manages to get it. This cycle repeats in

several times. Eventually, one of them emptied its remaining energy. Pitying its friend, it

decided to share the energy. Satisfied, both of them flew off into the space once again.

CREDITS: This credits and the graphics are made by me and my other friend, the drawingsare by me. (Yes, I love sketching)

Notes about this project/assignment: This was sort of a last minute project initiated by theUniversity, so we along with the Aspati Trainers were kinda have to work around the clock

in a rather limited time, I would say in less than a weeks time. It was rather tiring especiallythe sound effect, and I also did volunteer to do the opening and the credits of the animation.

Well, I always like doing credits, haha, I found them kinda fun, and so I decided to add a

little comic strip style into the credit. Ourproject won 1st place in Malaysian Student FilmFestival in February 2011. This was tiring yet fun project, and lets not forgets about the

Kuaci (sunflower seeds). Hehe.

STOP MOTION ANIMATIONTitle: Dreaming Into the Mirror

Year: 2010Event/Purpose: Assignment/CompetitionSynopsis: A human was asleep. She had a dream in the dream bubble balloon as she walked,When she reach a piece of white paper, she somehow manage to slide into the paper maybe

due to similarity of her white bubble dream environment and the whiteness of the paper

world, she became a stickman. Laptop world, black paper world, and real world every time

she went into a new environment, she morphed into another form. And she went into the

mirror world. After a few twist around the place, She walked out of the mirror world only to

find out that her human character was awake, she tried to get to the human. And so she

tried to draw herself as a butterfly on a paper and force it out of the paper world into the real

world and manages to slide into the bodys mouth.

Back to her body and wake up from her dream only to find out that she

1. Wake up again in a seemingly normal world yet realised that she was locked in adesolated room.

2. Wake up again, when she walked out towards the mirror; she realized that she wasman.

Eventually she woke up by her friend only to reveal that she was a teddy bear all along.

MUSIC VIDEOTitle: Waiting for you by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn

Year: 2009Event/Purpose: AssignmentSynopsis: This is a story about waiting and forgiving. The normal girl meets her frienddubbed: depressed girl. The normal girl seems to recognize the puzzle and flashback that

someone gave her and quickly scramble her room for it, along the way picture of her

slapping with a guy. There were various flashbacks indicating the events that lead up to that

moment. As the story slowly being uncover by the various flashbacks, it was reveal that this

video had been misleading the viewers about who the guy really is, and the fact that the

depressed girl was actually depressed about his death, and the fact that she caused his death.

The guy has an identical twin brother who actually likes the depressed girl.

In the end, the depressed girl managed to finish the puzzle and reconciled with her guilt and

her 2 other friends.

Notes about this project/assignment: There was actually a twist in the story, reusing thewhole twin illusion trick. Haha. We were trying to hide that trick giving an illusion of

Title: The Well of No ReturnThis was another last minute project given by our lecturer to join an international

competition organized by theASEAN-Korea Centremainly based in South Korea.

The theme was actually to show the multicultural element in the video clip, and under thesuggestion of our lecturer, we took the storytelling style, (which is my favorite) to display

that theme in a somewhat indirect way.

Event/Purpose: ASEAN-Korea CompetitionSynopsis: This is a story about a well which was known as the well of no return by somefaraway village in Malaysia. A young boy who was bored by the ordinary life in the village

decided to explore that somewhat and seemingly abandoned well. And in that well, he

realized why it was known as the well of no return and that he had been taking his

multicultural life for granted.

Event/Purpose: Co-Curriculum AssignmentNotes: The topic was free. We are allowed to choose any topic we want, and somehow greenand environment struck me the most on that day, so I chose that topic. Haha. Rather random.

There was actually a concept behind this design. It was mainly about the environment and

the green. What I was trying convey in this poster was that, everywhere theres life, if we

look careful enough, and life isnt just one, its scattered around the world. The final message

is left for the readers to finish it, and guess what is it?

Year: 2009Event/Purpose: AssignmentSynopsis: This is a modernized story of the Malaysian Folklore, Si Tenggang, about how the

little boy who turned out to be a successful man, forget his parents years of hard labor and

love, eventually he got his divine punishment. (Listen Here)

Duration: 6.49 minutesPosition in project: Project Manager, Script Writer, Sound EffectNotes about this project/assignment: This is actually a very stereotype story, which mainly

stem from the fact that our lecturer (project manager) wished to see the sound effects as the

main point, while the story was left as secondary issue, hence the somewhat uninteresting

story plus there was the time limit we gotta work with, she only allowed us to have as long

as 7:00 minutes only while the original story was much longer. Ugh. Oh well, so this is what

we got at that very moment. Haha.

Notes about this project/assignment: I mainly work on the artwork and the design of the

kiosk though I did contribute in the workings of the system also, where visitors could

navigate the maps from left to right and right to left of that map. The design was easy but the

system was hard, I had hard time seeking the right tutorial to produce the effect that

intended in the proposal. Haha. But in the end everything worked out just fine.

Notes about this project/assignment:I had to say that Im really really proud of this project, despite that in the end due to the

extensiveness of the programming code needed to be cipher, we did not complete in time.

However the main thing that I was really proud of this project was the world background

that I have carefully established and along with the artwork, I did some extensive research

about colors.

The whole game was supposed to be made by 5 person per group, however, in the end only

me and my other friends were part of this assignment group and we divided the task between

game designer and game programmer, I did all the artistic stuffs including documentations

while she did the programming and the system of the game.

Perhaps my most favorite artwork of all time was the scene, a tree in the Eyes Sky, a

confrontation between the 2 main characters of the game.

WRITING

And I loves writing stories too, especially fan fiction related stories, though I do have some

of my own original(?) stories, however most of the times these original stories are expanded

into some of my stories concept with a larger universe and more comprehensive background,

they mostly at incomplete section.

Example of my stories/writing:

The Dark Rooms Echoes

It was a dark room, with only Echoes of his footsteps.

And there they said, it was a white and brightly lit room. He was rather disappointed with it. Nevertheless,

he continued to touch the dusty wall of the dark room and proceed further into the room: his only way of

going into the unknown without tripping.

Though he could not see, he knew clearly that he was all alone in that room. Sight will not work in this

place, only sound and that was all he needed. He kept walking by the wall of that dark room; he continued

to touch the dusty wall as he walked.

Dozens of his footsteps sounds were echoing again, and again.

Somehow, he enjoyed the echoes of his own footsteps. He never stopped walking. Floating amongst these

echoes were his wondering thoughts, thoughts that he never wanted to share with others and yet, he hope

that someone will hear them.

He wished, time would stop, at least this time for his sake.

In this dark room, everything seemed to turn into black, blending well into the surrounding as if nothing

was there.Helpless, serene. Yet, those sounds still exist in that seemingly empty and dark room.And

unseen able.

He fastened his footsteps each time when he felt the cold door knob which he would pass by. He felt his

heartbeats rose as the hasty echoes of the footsteps began to gain their paces; began to create torrent of

echoes. Those echoes were flowing so fast that he could no longer hear his thoughts.

Then, a thought quietly creep into his mind.

Drowned.

And he stopped, suddenly, for he feared, he will not be able to hear his own thoughts anymore.

Drowned in fear.

No.

Drowned in fear of being useless.

No!

Drowned in fear of being uselessly helpless.

NO!

This was not what he wanted!

To be confined in this dark and tiny space without light, it was all an illusion. He almost forgot his initial

purpose to be here for he had gotten so used with that dejected feeling for so long, he actually felt so

comfortable and familiar with that feeling, in his comfort zone. He sighed in disappointment, only to be

sighed back by the seemingly dark and empty room. Maybe this room wasnt thatempty after all.

He laughed incredulously, louder than his sigh of exasperation.

Then, Eeeeekkkk

Sound of a rusty door being opened intervened with his unstoppable laughter as it incredulous laughter

was evolving into one of those heartily laugh.

Little Master?

He paused in his act of laughing. He turned to its source and saw nothing, only voice that belong to

someone he knew. He continued to laugh. The owner of the voice made no movement, he waited.

Seconds later, he stopped. He held a deep breath and spoke peacefully, Yes?

Littlelittle master, do youdo you need any the boy paused and gulped timidly, assistance...?

The boy knew that every time he asked this, his little master would react strongly it, but it was his job to

ask, thus he had to ask.

His master turned to him and unexpectedly, he grinned.

Yes, I need you, He said softly, slowly he rose up his hand, waiting for the boy to come to him.

The boy was dumb folded.

Huh? Oh, ye-yes, little master! The boy quickly fumbled to his owners side and grabbed hold his hand.

His master held his hand firmly, and, I need it, the boy looked at his master disbelief. He could not

believe that his master finally admitted that he needed that. For so long, every time he heard its sound, his

master would suddenly get mad at him.

The boy snapped himself out of his little world; quickly he grabbed a long metallic stick which was lying

on the ground just outside the room. He placed gently on his masters hand.

His master touched the stick from top to bottom thoroughly; again, he held a deep breath. He held the

stick tightly; indeed he had finally decided to use it, to feel the obstacles in front. With it, he made his

way out of the room slowly and step by step, with the boy holding his other arm.

As they walked out of the room, the boy turned his head and hoping to have a clear glance at the room.

His heart was filled with curiosity; he wanted to know how did that brightly-lit white room changed hismasters heart.

Just 10 short minutes and?

The thought made the boy even more confused than before.

The boy looked at its interior for one last time as someone entered the room and closed the door behind

him quietly, creating an oddly gentle echo along the long and winding hallway.

She had inspected very every corner of the tiny little room. It was indeed empty. There was nothing but

her and her not-so-light belongings.

Let me see how this plain room works its so-called miracle, She muttered to herself as she smoothly

slid down her heavy bag from her shoulders. Her bag had a hard collision with the bright and reflective

floor, causing the first loud echo since the moment she entered into that seemingly ordinary and boring

looking room.

Then she leaned lazily against the smooth, reflective wall and crossed her legs, hung round her neck was a

strap which attached a digital camera.

She was a freelance journalist.

Lately she had been hearing rumours about a peculiar room, hidden in the one of what it seemed to be an

abandoned buildings interior.

People who had problems turn their attention to it and somehow spending 10 minutes in it, it could

mysteriously solved problem that had been grasping them for so long.

This alone could not made her came here. It was someone whom she knew from her childhood pleaded

her to check.

It exists since Im a teenager, I remember going there, though the period I was in that room was short,

somehow itmanaged to change my masters heart. Her childhood friend described so vividly as if

the memories were fresh. Yet, the location he gave was wrong.

She asked few of people about the rooms description, each time they would give different portrayal

included with their lucid experiences. But they all had one thing in common: the room was empty and

always appeared brightly lit; its interior was all white. Echoes were one of its most distinctive features,

yet it sounded so common.

Few minutes had passed.

Still there wasnt anything.

She stood straight, crossed her arms and tapped her right foot.

She was used with waits. Long waits, short waits and most often, empty waits.

Sounds of her tapping foot echoed every corner of the room.

Echoeshmm one of its most famous characteristic

Her soft whisper mixing with her non-stop tapping sound created an even more boring sound in that

empty room.

She looked at her watch. 7 minutes were gone, yet she saw nothing, sensed nothing.

Hmmtypical it was, all rumours after all.

To be frank, she never had any high hope of being one of thoselucky people to encounter any miracle in

that pathetic white room. She was well prepared to head back to report her boring and disappointing

testimony to him.

Wonder how will he take it?

He was a man of faith.

She scratched the back of her head. Miraclehuh?

There is no such thing as miracle.

Her leg stopped tapping.

Somehow, an oddly nostalgic feeling crawled into her mind. Such thought gave rise to her goose bumps.

Still, she saw nothing, hear nothing, sense nothing, yet this time she feltempty.

They will not return

Stop waitingHer will to continue waiting suddenly shattered.

Immediately, she grabbed her heavy bag and dashed out of the room, not even bothered to close the rusty

brown door behind her. Leaving only a drop of salty water on the white rooms floor where she had just

stood for 9 long minutes.

Okay, so I added some of the rather extra stuff into this portfolio, but all these that I added

are diamonds of my prides and things that Im happy that I managed to get them done,

especially that my stories are woven into my projects.

Below an example of my stories drafts, I selected some of them to be inserted into my

portfolio.

Title: Ascent TrilogySynopsis: This is a story about a group of villagers trying to escape their demise by ascending

to the Fanning Tower at the centre of the continent. IN that continent they were not alone,

there were several cities, towns, yet they had all started their journey to the Fanning Tower.

These people of this continent each have some elemental related power. Along the way they

encounter some of the rather fictitious unreal obstacles, such as the thundering forest and

the Slicing Falls.

Notes about this Story: I have established the overall world and background of this storysworld and some of their characters. However the story and the ending are not yet completed.

I would it is only 60% completed.
