The Chalet Hotel La Tania, has an amazing location just two minutes walk from the slopes and resort centre. La Tania is known as the best kept secret of the three Valleys.

It’s a quaint village with a number of restaurants and bars and is located half way between Courchevel and Meribel, La Tania is in the centre of Les 3 Vallées, the worlds largest ski area.

The impressive Chalet Hotel La Tania is situated in an excellent location less than 150m from La Tania village centre and the main lift station giving you easy access to all that this winter wonderland has to offer. This is a fully catered chalet and includes hot and cold breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes and a delectable 3 course evening meal with a superb choice of fine wines every day of the week.

The Chalet Hotel is decorated in a comfortable style with a lovely alpine feeling, and really becomes your home from home. And what better way to finish off a hard day on the slopes than winding down in our 12 person sauna.

La Tania lies at 1400m in the Three Valleys in France. It’s full of alpine charm with panoramic views of the valleys, amidst beautiful pine forests and snowy mountains. It lies between both Courchevel and Méribel, with easy access to the extensive 600km of ‘Les Trois Vallées’ pistes and some seriously challenging off piste.

The village itself is well equipped with a local supermarket (there is a large Hyper Champion in Moûtiers at the foot of the mountains, ideal for

any large grocery shops), a bakery, a newsagent, a cash machine, a tourist information centre and lift company ticket office (situated next to the La Tania gondola), numerous ski hire shops, a local cinema and fitness centre (with sauna and plunge pool). There are also a range of pubs, bars and restaurants, which provide a reasonable nightlife, albeit by French standards, but also a retreat away from the busier and more hectic nightlife of Courchevel 1850.

Dinner will be provided every night of the week, unheard of in chalet catering, meaning you dont have to spent extra money dining out unless you really want to!

To help make sure you have a truly unbeatable experience in La Tania, we have six excellent live in hosts who will cater to your every need. Please inform us on booking of any specific dietary requirements and we will try and cater for them as best we can. Although we are happy to provide vegetarian meals, we cannot cater for vegan diets. Please enquire specifically about any allergies.

For the non-skiersJust because you don’t ski or can’t ski this year doesn’t mean you cant come away with the family and enjoy a winter holiday. You might not want to leave the chalet, after all you have your own private spa facilities and staff on hand all day but if you do want to stretch your legs the resort does offer leisure facilities that include a gym, full size swimming pool, ice skating rink and climbing wall along with a bowling alley. If that all sounds a little energetic our top tip would be a crêpes and hot chocolate at the Crèperie Grand Marnier, you’d have to go along way to beat their afternoon delights.

Apres skiWe find most clients prefer to return to the chalet after skiing to enjoy the scrumptious afternoon tea provided by the chef followed by some relaxation in the Sauna.

However sometimes it’s nice to let your hair down and dance around in your ski boots. There is no shortage of live music on offer daily, both for Après ski and evening entertainment. La Folie Douce is a favoured fancy spot with VIP seating available, Après starts with a cabaret that continues on to lively music that really gets the crowd up on their feet and singing along. The ‘Ronnie’ Le Rond Point is also a popular après destination on the slopes and close to the chalet.

Skiing in La Tania & Les 3 ValléesThis charming alpine resort is located at the heart of Les 3 Vallées ski area, the largest in the world and has so much to offer all ages and levels of winter sport enthusiast.

Being at the heart of Les 3 Vallées means all these resorts can be easily accessed by various pistes and links, no need to jump in a car or take a bus as this vast area is all completely connected. The versatility of this area is second to none with access to all levels of piste and plenty of off-piste and ski touring available whilst not forgetting the cross country skiing available too.

Ski AreaThe Three Valleys has over 600km of piste consisting of 300 runs and 120km of cross country slopes, all serviced by 200 ski lifts, and an endless variety of mountain top restaurants.

La Tania village itself is served by a gondola and tow lift, giving skiers access to Courchevel, Méribel and the rest of the Three Valleys. From the top of the gondola, there are three beautiful, tree lined runs, (green, blue and red) that wind back down to La Tania, the blue of which is serviced by snow cannons all year round to maintain utmost piste conditions right up until the end of the Easter season. There are, in fact, a plentiful number of snow canons throughout the entire area ensuring you can enjoy skiing late into the season.

SkiingThe surrounding ski area is ideally suited for any standard of skier.

If you are just learning to ski, La Tania is ideally equipped for you, with gentle nursery slopes and a free beginners tow lift (Troika) overlooking the idyllic La Tania village.

For intermediate skiers, La Tania has unbeatable access to an extensive variety of green, blue and red runs in The Three Valleys ski area.

Advanced skiers prepare yourselves! There are 28 black runs throughout ‘Les Trois Vallées’ and an abundance of off-piste to challenge even the most demanding of adrenaline junkies! Courchevel is also home to several couloirs which are renowned as some of the hardest black runs in the world!

SnowboardingThere is plenty of off piste for those not wanting to stick to pisted runs and enough gondolas and chair lifts to make it possible to completely avoid drag lifts. The Three Valleys is also host to seven snowboard parks, three of which are in Courchevel and a plentiful number of snow trails amidst the dense evergreen forests which offer breathtaking views of the mountainsides.
