Supplying and filling coarse granular material as per followingspecifications - well graded crushed stone aggregates varying in sizefrom 20 MM to 50 MM shall be used along with 25% to 30% of clean sandhaving fines not more than 5% (i.e. fines less than 75 micron size notexceeding 5%). Thecompaction of this material shall be done in layers of 300 MM thicknessusing vibratory rollers so as to achieve a dry unit weight of atleast 22KN / M3. It shouLd be ensured that the voids of the crushed stoneaggregate are completely filled by the sand. This will prevent finesfrom the embankment intruding into the crushed stone fill which maycause voids below tank bottom. The dry density of the compacted crushedstone sand mixture can be obtained by the procedure described in IS:2720.

The job includes handling / shifting of steel plates meant for tankerection from storage point inside BPCL's Project premises to the tankerection site; preparation of fabrication drawing and obtaining approvalfrom BPCL / TPIA as applicable; as per BPCL standard drawing and sizesof plates available at site; Cutting and edge preparation of the platesas required; rolling of plates for shell of the tanks;fabrication; assembling and welding as per BPCL standard / specificationsand as directed by the Engineer-in- charge. The job includes Testing oftank bottoms and roof plates by vacuum box test method/air test methodas per IS 803. The rate shall include all consumables such as Electrodes , Water, Electricity, tools and tackles, labour , jacks and machinerycomplete as required.
Providing all temporary structure and labour for completion of the jobas per drawing and accounting of unused scrap material as per BPCLstandards. Tank fabrication and installation shall be as per IS 803 / BPCLstandards. Rate shall include 100 % DP testing of root runs and any other testsspecified as per drawings/specifications and also includes submissionof AS BUILT drawings in 3 SETS (including soft copy) , Oil Chalk testwherever applicable and pneumatic test for all reinforcement pad. Radiography of the tank shall be paid under seperate item of BOQ (Tank sizes and other relevant data as per specification sheet).
Rate to be quoted per KG of fabricated steel (supplied by BPCL as freeissue material)."

Scope of job includes filling water inside the tank up to the curb anglefor carrying out hydro testing of the tank.After hydrotesting, dewatering and cleaning of the tank to be done by the contractor. The payment for this item will be done after successfull hydrotesting of the tank.
