Hurricane Preparedness Hurricane season is June 1 through November 30. Now is the time to prepare so that you are not caught without
a plan in the event that a storm impact to our area looks possible. Stop by the customer service desk at Naples
Aviation, the Leasing office or the airport’s Administration office to receive a copy of the Collier County
Emergency Management All Hazards Guide, which is full of valuable information for all types of emergency
preparedness.
Please remember:
The hangars are not wind-rated. Please do not count on your hangar to provide protection in the event of a
hurricane or tropical storm.
We highly recommended that all tenants have aircraft evacuation plans in place. Contact two alternate airports
now and make arrangements for apron/hangar space in the event that it is necessary—if you wait until a storm
gets close, you will be competing with other evacuees for space.
T-shelter (shade hangar) tenants must remove any equipment boxes if a tropical-force storm is approaching.
Plan to leave at least 48 hours prior to the anticipated onset of tropical-force winds.
If you choose to leave a vehicle in your hangar, please leave the keys at the Naples Aviation FBO desk, as
Airport staff may need to move it to another location.
Make sure your contact information is up to date with us. The Emergency Communications section of this
issue provides important information on how we will be communicating with our tenants.
Naples Airport prepares for anticipated storms by clearing the ramp area of as many remaining aircraft as
possible in order to mitigate damage to the airfield from wind-blown objects and debris. In doing so, we
reserve the right to use any available hangar space, including leased hangars that may be empty.
Time is critical during storm preparation and we will not be able to contact each tenant or to assist with
individual preparation measures. If you will be out of town during hurricane season, please arrange for another
authorized tenant to carry out your emergency plans.
Thank You for Voting for Naples Aviation Our team always works diligently to provide exceptional service and exceed your expectations. We are
proud to share that you have helped rank Naples Aviation as the 15th
best overall FBO and the 8th
best
independent FBO in the country in a survey conducted by Pro Pilot Magazine. The complete survey
rankings can be found online at www.propilotmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/PRASE2019.pdf.

Emergency Communications
Naples Airport is now utilizing Everbridge for emergency notifications. This technology will enable efficient
communications to our airport community during times when the distribution of real-time information is vital.
During hurricane season, Everbridge will allow us to quickly disseminate important information to our tenants
regarding any storm impacts to operations and/or airport closures using contact information that was provided
on airport badge applications. A test Everbridge message will be sent out within the next few weeks. If you do not
receive the test message, or if your phone number(s) and/or email address has changed in the past two (2)
years, please email updated information to Jennifer Monville, Properties Coordinator, at [email protected] or
call (239) 643-0733.
Everbridge has been employed successfully during numerous critical events, including hurricanes Sandy, Matthew,
Irma, Harvey and Maria, and the recent California wildfires. The system is used by agencies all over the world,
including the state of Florida and Collier County. Should you wish to unsubscribe, please email
Recreational Drones
The FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 brought changes for recreational drone usage. These include a requirement
for operators to pass a test on aeronautical knowledge and safety, register their drones, mark the outside of them
with their registration numbers and carry proof of registration with them.
The FAA is now offering a free webinar series to help drone operators understand how to properly operate in the
National Airspace System and successfully apply for an airspace authorization. To register, please visit the FAA’s
website at https://www.faa.gov/uas/resources/webinars/.
For more information on flying recreational drones please visit https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_fliers/.
FAA Policy Update for ADS-B
Effective January 1, 2020, all aircraft operators must be equipped with Automatic Dependent Surveillance-
Broadcast (ADS–B) Out equipment to fly within most controlled airspace. If aircraft are not equipped, then ATC
authorizations will need to be obtained prior to flight through any ADS-B mandated airspace. FAA stresses that
obtaining an authorization is not guaranteed and could be difficult for a variety of reasons. For more information
on the FAA policy, please visit https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/04/01/2019-06184/statement-of
-policy-for-authorizations-to-operators-of-aircraft-that-are-not-equipped-with-automatic.

NAA Going Green
The City of Naples Airport Authority
needs your help. In support of our ini-
tiatives to be more environmentally
friendly, we’re asking our customers
who receive invoices/statements via
mail to consider electronic delivery in
place of paper.
If you are ready to Go Green with us,
please contact Georgiana Bradbury,
Senior Accounting Clerk, via email at
call (239) 643-0733 and request to go
paperless. To ensure proper delivery,
please add her address to your ap-
proved email list, so your invoices and
statements do not get sent to your
spam folder.
Lightning is a hazardous and occasionally
fatal threat to anyone outdoors in its
vicinity and is a major concern for the
aviation industry, especially ground
handling personnel on the apron area.
For safety reasons, personnel are directed
indoors anytime lightning is detected
within a critical distance.
Did You Know?
Naples Airport generates more
than $440 million annually in
economic impact.
The airport is financially self-
sustaining—it receives no local
tax dollars and generates reve-
nues through fuel sales and
the leasing hangars and land.

Fuel Program Information
The Prepaid Fuel Program expired on May 31, 2019. If you are a current tenant or approved subtenant, we have
applied the tenant discount for fuel purchases to your account. There are several other pricing programs in which
you may be eligible to participate. To review these programs, please refer to our current Rates and Charges at
https://flynaples.com/financial-information/. Should you wish to discuss your fuel program options, please contact
[email protected] or call Georgiana Bradbury, Senior Accounting Clerk, at (239) 643-0733.
Please remember that in order to be eligible to receive a based tenant discount for fuel, leases and subleases
must be current. If you are unsure of your lease status, please contact the leasing department at (239) 643-0733 or
ID Badge Renewals
All ID badges and ramp access stickers for Naples Airport will be expiring on October 31, 2019. Notices will be
posted around the airport with instructions for completing the renewal process. Reminders will also be sent via
email to the addresses on file. Information will also be available on our website at www.FlyNaples.com.
In order for a renewal to be processed, accounts must be in good standing and leases with the NAA must be in
compliance. Some items that could affect the processing of a renewal include, but are not limited to:
An overdue balance on an account
Missing certificates of insurance
An unauthorized sublease or unauthorized use of a leasehold
To expedite your renewal, please take time now to ensure that there are no issues that will prevent or delay the
process. If you have questions about the status of your account, please contact Georgiana Bradbury at (239) 643-
0733 or [email protected]. For questions about lease compliance, please contact the Leasing
Office at (239) 643-0733 or [email protected].
Taxilane Traffic Jams
Please remember that aircraft that have been pulled out of a hangar and into the taxilanes may be preventing
others from entering or exiting their hangars. So please be courteous to your neighbors and help prevent traffic
tie-ups by promptly moving aircraft.

(1) year period. To request consent from the NAA for a sublease, or if you would like to get more information
about the process, contact the Leasing Office.

is dangerous to do so or where it is specifically prohibited by the Executive Director. Smoking is prohibited inside
the airport terminals and NAA-owned and -operated buildings and in NAA vehicles at all times. No smoking shall
