Law one – you control your own destiny

Health and Fitness

No matter what happens to you, you are in charge. You control your actions and your reactions.

When you recognise a problem you also own the opportunity of creating a solution. “It’s simple – if it is to be, it is up to me.”

Law two – there are no shortcuts

Success takes time and planning. To be the best at what you do or to compete with the best, you must do the hard yards.

Success is a never-ending process. Outcomes will only be a result of accumulating your experiences and knowledge over time, and then utilising this to best effect.

Law three – you get back what you put in

If you give out positive energy, you will get it back.

If you work towards your goal you will achieve it.

You must put into your endeavours what is required, so you get back the rewards of those labours.

Law four – benchmark off number one

There is a reason why some people are the best at what they do.

Find out what that reason is and then duplicate it and modify it to suit your situation and needs.

Law five – preparation is everything

“You can never over-prepare.”

“The will to succeed is nearly as important as the will to prepare to succeed.”

Law six – back yourself

This requires confidence and expectation.

To be successful you must expect to be successful. Hope is not enough.

Expectation requires self-belief and a willingness to plan and act.

Law seven – make it human

Balance – Balance – Balance – it is important to remember that you must fuel your human side and stay in touch with reality.

Keep your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs to the fore.

Sometimes you need to go with the flow and at other times you need to take a break.

Whatever you do, remember that Superman and Wonder Woman are and will always be cartoon characters.

Law eight – listen to your gut

Your gut is the holder of your experiences.

When you listen to your gut you will nearly always be right.

Avoid negotiating between your gut and your head.

Your head will always twist things to suit a situation.

Your gut will always tell you the truth.

Law nine – the best way is the best way

Success is not about my way or your way – it is about the best way.

Teams and individuals succeed when they agree on the best way to execute a plan.

Best-way thinking and operating requires good team-work and strong leadership.
