Dobar nastavnik treba da provocira obe osobine kod studenata.

Ovo drugo je važnije, sticanje navike da se misli, jer to opstaje sa vremenom u životu čoveka.

Školovanje nije stvar koja se odvija samo u učionici, već je u najboljem smislu reči način života.

Pri tome se poštuju dokazi i logika, uz stalno preispitivanje da se nadju nova značenja za poznate podatke, uz sposobnost da se stvari sagledavaju u kontekstu,da se specifičnosti povežu sa opštim, činjenice sa teorijom i teorija sa činjenicama.

Druga karakteristika je INTEGRITET i to u najmanje dva odvojena značenja.

Prvo je obavezno: osobine poštenja, principijelnosti i dostojanstva.

Ove osobine su fundamentalne za svakoga u životu,

ali imaju posebno značenje za onoga ko treba drugima da bude primer

- a to je NASTAVNIK.

Druga osobina je kompletnost ili jedinstvo karaktera, osećaj samopouzdanja i ličnog identiteta.

Ovde ima dosta popularnih izraza u žargonu, na primer: "znati ko si", "držati do sebe", "biti cool", itd.

Studenti su tinejdžeri i mladi adolescenti (u dobu nesigurnosti i još uvek neizgradjenog ličnog identiteta)

Nastavnik treba da bude neko ko zna da kanališe i kontroliše tipične ljudske mane ili slabosti.

Studenti ne nauče mnogo od starijih, bez obzira koliko oni bili obrazovani,

ako su oni sami u stvari još uvek TINEJDŽERI !!!!!!!!

Treća osnovna karakteristika je sposobnost komunikacije sa mladima. To očigledno podrazumeva da volite mlade ljude, da uživate u njihovoj bučnoj ushićenosti i intenzivom zapitkivanju, što je u stvari njihov PROCES ODRASTANJA.

• doslovce se držati dobre stare izreke: "Ako o nekome ne možeš reći ništa dobro, nemoj ništa ni da kažeš".

• vraćati studentima ocenjene zadatke, testove, ispite NA VREME (po mogućstvu u roku od 24 časa)

• insistirati na urednosti u radu (pisanju) od studenata i da sve predaju na vreme

• insistirati na formalnostima u ponašanju na časovima ili ispitima (zavisno i od toga šta se radi)

• Uvek očekujte makar malo više od studenta nego što on to sam očekuje

• Naglašavajte pozitivne stvari; pažljivo pohvalite dobar rad. Niko tako brzo ne uči kao onaj ko oseća da je uspešan.

• Pokažite najveću moguću druželjubivost koju zaista (pošteno) i osećate prema studentu koji vam se baš i ne svidja (koga baš i ne volite), odnosno nastojte da potisnete lični animozitet.

• Nikada nemojte da dignete ruke od nekog studenta, ili da ga trajno žigošete ("Ti nikad ništa nećeš moći da naučiš", "Ko te poslao da ovo studiraš?", itd.).

Jedna od tehnika aktivnog podučavanja je i postavljanje pitanja i davanje odgovora.

Postoji više načina da se to radi, a jedan od njih je "Sokratovsko" ispitivanje.

Sokrat je podučavao svoje studente postavljajući im pitanja i na taj način izvlačeći odgovore. ("ex duco" znači "izvoditi", odatle nastaje reč "edukacija" - "obrazovanje").

Postoji šest grupa pitanja koja je Sokrat postavljao svojim studentima.

U početku studentima je bilo neugodno, ali na kraju su bivali oduševljeni.

Opšta svrha je da se proveri tačnost i potpunost mišljenja (rezonovanja) na način da se ljudi usmere ka krajnjem cilju.

1. Pitanja razjašnjavanja koncepcije

Studente treba da navedete da više razmišljaju šta tačno pitaju ili o čemu razmišljaju. Dokažite koncept koji stoji iza njihove argumentacije. Osnovna pitanja tipa "recite mi još" treba da ih nateraju da idu u dubinu.

Ispitivanje pretpostavki navodi studente da razmišljaju o postavkama i bezrezervnim verovanjima na kojima treba da zasnuju svoju argumentaciju.

Ovo će ih uzdrmati iz temelja i stvarno ih pokrenuti!

3. Ispitivanje racionalnosti, razloga i dokaza

Kada daju racionalno objašnjenje za svoju argumentaciju, udubite se u to rezonovanje radije nego da pretpostavljate koje je to objašnjenje.

Ljudi često koriste nedovoljno promišljene ili slabo razumljive argumente za svoje tvrdnje.

Uobičajeno, instruktor (nastavnik, profesor, asistent) odabere jednog studenta i postavi pitanje i očekuje odgovor odmah.

Ako "odabrani" student ne može da odgovori, instruktor pita sledećeg (i sledećeg) dok ne dobije željeni odgovor.

Ovaj metod je često kritikovan, pošto se smatra da je to izdvajanje jednog studenta (često je to studentu neugodno)

i/ili

da se time daje prednost samo malom segmentu studenata (odnosno da samo mali broj studenata može odmah da odgovori na pitanje koje im se postavlja).

Uprkos ovim kritikama ovaj metod je vrlo važan i koristan i iz njega slede varijacije kao što su:

vreme čekanja na odgovor

student rezimira odgovor drugog studenta

"lutrija" pitanja.
