Miller, Assistant Superintendent of Schools Telephone: 978-939-5661 Fax: 978-939-5179 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Today, the Templeton elementary school buildings, Templeton Center School - built in 1941- and Baldwinville Elementary School - built in 1923 -, lack libraries, gymnasiums, cafeterias, space for Special Education services, health facilities, computer labs, music, and art rooms. In addition, the schools are not handicapped accessible and do not meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Despite best efforts, roofs leak and frequent repairs to the buildings’ infrastructures are needed to maintain an environment that allows for education to happen. It becomes more and more difficult every year to maintain the integrity of the electrical wiring, plumbing, and other building systems. These distracting situations are not suitable for a proper learning environment of our students and teachers. To address these concerns, the Templeton Elementary School Building Committee is proposing to build a pre-K to fifth grade elementary school for all Templeton students. Since, Templeton has been identified by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) as having the greatest need for a new elementary school, by partnering with the MSBA,

To address these concerns, the Templeton Elementary School Building Committee is proposing to build a pre-K to fifth grade elementary school for all Templeton students.

Since, Templeton has been identified by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) as having the greatest need for a new elementary school, by partnering with the MSBA, Templeton will be reimbursed 59.84% of the cost of a new elementary school.
