Introduction
Telenor is the fastest growing telecommunication company in Pakistan .It has a great market share in Pakistan telecom sector. Now it is leading with services it is providing other than any company of that sector. Telenor position their company by mainly targeting on the rural areas. He captures the market of the rural areas and started by capturing the vacant market of the Pakistan .And now it is growing on a large scale.
History
For over 150 years, telecommunication has played a vital part in the development of modern Norwegain society. Telenor acquired a license for providing GSM service in Pakistan in April 2004, and launched its services commercially in Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi on 15 March 2005; it expanded its services to Lahore, Faisalabad, and Hyderabad, on 23 March 2005. Telenor Pakistan’s Corporate Headquarters are in Islamabad , with regional offices in Peshawar , Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan , Hyderabad, Quetta and Karachi . On 28 January 2005, Telenor established its first call centre in Karachi.
