How Do You Unite Employees to Work as One Team?

Whether for business or pleasure, millions of people use services from Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG every day. As well as being the network operator with the most mobile customers in the country, Telefónica Germany also provides landline and broadband services. Following two major acquisitions, the company found itself working with nine HR systems spread across 19 legal entities – making workforce management extremely challenging. To operate effectively, Telefónica Germany wanted its teams to work as one, but this tangled back-office IT was getting in the way.

To unify and simplify HR management, Telefónica Germany worked with Deloitte to replace its inherited legacy systems with integrated SAP® SuccessFactors® solutions. With a unified overview of the workforce, managers can make smarter scheduling, training, and recruiting decisions. Additionally, staff can access and update their own personnel data, schedule training sessions, book time off, and much more through a self-service portal. The successful integration of employee data across the enterprise helped Telefónica Germany incorporate its acquisitions, including E-Plus, into the company.
