TELE-IMMERSION
WHAT IS TELE-IMMERSION?
Tele-Immersion enable users in geographically distributed sites to collabrate in real time in a shared simulated envirnoment as if they were in the same physical room.
WHY TELE-IMMERSION ?? As telepresence has drawbacks a new
concept called Tele-Immersion is introduced.
Tele-Immersion is a new medium that enables a user to share a virtual space with remote participants in a 3D world.
Users feel like they are actually looking , talking and meeting with each other
face to face in the same room.
REQUIREMENTS OF TELE-IMMERSION
3D ENVIRONMENT SCANING. AUDIO TECHNOLOGIES. CONSTRUCTING A HOLOGRAPHIC ENVIRONMENT. POWERFULL NETWORKING. TELE-CUBICLE.

WORKING (1)Imperceptible structured light. (2)Sea of cameras.
(3)Virtual mirror. (4)Shared simulation objects.
There is a sea of cameras which provide view of
users and their surroundings. Mounted virtual mirrors provide each user a
view how his surrounding mirrors. Imperceptible structured light looks like white
light but projects flickering of patterns. Screen uses two overlapping projections of
polarized images.

CONCLUSION IT IS THE NEXT MAJOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIELD
OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AS NOW YOU CAN VISIT AN INDIVIDUAL AT A LONG DISTANCE EVEN WITHOUT STEPPING A FOOT OUTSIDE.
THIS TECHNOLOGY WILL ENABLE RESEARCHERS TO COLLABORATE IN FIELDS SUCH AS ARCHITECTURE, MEDICINE, ASTROPHYSICS & AERO PLANE DESIGN.
EVEN THE FAST FOOD CHAIN MCDONALDS HAS ENVISIONED FITTING TELE IMMERSION BOOTHS IN ITS RESTAURANTS SO PEOPLE AWAY FROM HOME COULD HAVE DINNER WITH THEIR FAMILY
HENCE THIS TECHNOLOGY IS NOT THAT FAR OFF.
