1 . Loosen the screws (round head philip screws M3 x 6) and remove the Donglecover.2 . Insert the dongle in the slot located on the left side, make sure that the barcode

label on the dongle is facing up, and then press the dongle in until you haveconfirmed that the dongle has been locked with the connector properly.

3 When finished refit the dongle cover using the screws (round head philipscrews M3 x 6) that were attached to the cover.

0 Before installing and connecting the product, turn off the power switch on the cabinet

and unplug the power cord from the service outlet to prevent an electric shock.

l Do not install or connect the product outdoors. The product is designed for indoor

use only. Installation or connection of the product conducted outdoors can cause anelectrical shock or fire.

m l Make sure the person conducting the installation or connection is not

charged with static electricity. Static electricity can cause a malfunction

or damage of this product.0 Do not perform a conductivity test using a tester. The internal voltage in a

tester can damage the ICs on the PC board and render the PC board

useless.

The product can be used with a JAMMA STANDARD or JAMMA VIDEO STANDARD (JVS) conformingcabinet. However, the connection method varies depending on the type of the cabinet.

To install the product in a JAMMA STANDARD conforming cabinet, the JAMMA PC board kit (optional)

is requi red.

* Check the cabinet specification for compatibility by referring to P. 6 “2. SPECIFICATIONS.”

To install the product in a JAMMA STANDARD conforming cabinet, mount the PC

board and JAMMA (B) PC board on the mounting plate by following the proceduresbelow.

Turn off the power switch on the cabinet, and unplug the power cord from the

service outlet.

By following the directions for PC board installation in the operation manual of the

cabinet, open the cover of the PC board compartment and take out the PC boardmounting plate.

The following describes the method of connecting the PC board to a JAMMA VIDEO

STANDARD (JVS) conforming cabinet.

of JAMMA VIDEO STANDARD (JVS) conforming cabinet” (P. 13). When twocabinets are connected with a cable for a communication-linked setup, thePC board can be installed in either unit.

Use the adjustment switches on the PC board and the switches on the control panel of the cabinet to makeadjustments.

The following explains the basic information on adjustment switches and the methods of making adjust-ments necessary to operate the game machine.

6-l Basic information for adjustment

m 0 Remove static electricity from the worker’s body before touching the PCboard. Static electricity can cause a malfunction or damage.

The video output of this product is best viewed set at 31.5 kHz (high definition).

Since the factory setting is 1575kHz, please change the setting referring to

section 6-l-l paragraph (1) “Option switches” on page 29.

6-1-I Adjustment switches and knob

The PC board is provided with Option switches ((1) in the diagram). When the

JAMMA connection kit is installed, a speaker volume knob ((2) in the diagram) isalso provided.

(1) Option switchesFour switches are provided as a set.0 Switch 1 is used to change between test mode and game mode.

ON: Test mode OFF: Game mode0 Switch 2 is used to switch RGB output level.

As JAMMA (6) PCB is installed.

0 Switch 3 is used to change the horizontal synchronization frequency between

15.75 and 31.5 kHz. See Note 1.ON: 31.5 kHz OFF: 15.75 kHz

0 Switch 4 is used to switch synchronizing signal output form. See Note 2.

The factory setting is OFF for every switch.

N o t e 1 When your cabinet is ready for 31.5 kHz, 31.5kHz setting is recommended becausethe pictures are displayed with extraordinary definition Some cabinets need to set

the monitor, and in that case, please refer to the operation manual provided with thecabinet.

Note 2 When JAMMA (B) PCB is installed, it is always composite output whether the switchNo. 4 is ON or OFF.

Interlace mode: This mode provides more detailed and smoother graphics than thenon-interlace mode. By shifting the picture display position a half

line in the vertical direction once in the twice drspiay operations, itdoubles the vertical resolution without changing the horizontallver-

tical frequency.

Non-interlace mode: Use this display mode when interlace mode results in flicker overthe entire screen display. In the non-interface mode, there is noshift of the display position, and the display remains consistent ev-

7. OPERATION

0 Should any problem occur, such as an abnormal odor or noise, turn off the power

switch on the cabinet immediately and stop the machine operation. Then, unplug thepower cord of the cabinet from the service outlet, and contact your distributor.

Operating the machinewith a problem left uncorrected may cause an electrical shockor fire.

0 When it is necessary to touch the PC board while the machine is in operation, referto R 51 “8. Inspection, Cleaning and Troubleshooting.”
