Armstrong TECH ZONE is easy to specify and install.

Armstrong TECH ZONE is compatible with the more popular building module - 1200mm. The technical zone can be installed parallel or perpendicular to the façade. The combinations of suspension systems, tiles and technical elements are almost unlimited. The following illustrations give you a flavour of what you can achieve.

To specify and design a system, you just have to follow the following steps:1 Select the ceiling module.2 Determine the on-centre spacing of the linear technical zone.3 Choose the TZ orientation, field panel type and dimensions. 4 Select the edge detail and the grid that’s compatible with Armstrong TECH ZONE.5 Select the material of the Technical Panel.

Choose the Technical Elements to be integrated. Although building modules can vary country to country, Armstrong can provide a solution to meet your individual needs.

TechZone Load Capacity

As with any other ceiling system, TECH ZONE has maximum load capacities. However, as TECH ZONE differs from traditional ceiling systems and offers much more flexibility in ceiling layouts, the maximum load capacities will vary from solu-tion to solution. To show all the possible combinations of suspension systems, panels and TECH ZONE partners products, LOAD CApACITy TAbLES are included on page 14.

To do so, multiply the ceiling area (m2) by the Estimating Factor (EF) of each product. The quantity of Technical Panels and the number of small Cross Tees (150 & 300mm) will depend on the type and quantity of Technical Elements and are therefore not part of the calculation.
