“Mass media” is used to refer to mediums intended to reach very large audiences, such as broadcast and cable television, radio,motion pictures, newspapers and magazines.

Interactive media permit the user to interact directly with the computer or telecommunications device, such as the “touch screen” mode so common nowadays in restaurants, hotels, and other serviceestablishments.
