European technology platforms

2003: the European Council called for creating

European technology platforms

Technological Platforms are an innovative element in

the research policy of the EU

Aim of ETPs: to promote the creation of public-private

associations to define technological and research

priorities that are needed by a specific sector in a middle

or long term

Participants: all important groups in a sector, all of

them include research centers, national and regional

public authorities and financial agencies

2010: Governmental Commission on high technology and innovation

approved Procedure for the establishment of technology platforms

01 April 2011 Governmental Commission on high technology and

innovation approved a list of technology platforms

Technology platform is a communication tool, aiming at

enhancing efforts to establish a promising commercial

technologies, new products and services, to attract additional

resources for research and development on the basis of the

participation of all stakeholders (business, science, State, civil

society), improving the legal framework in the field of scientific and

technological development, innovation

Aims:

identification of new scientific and technological capabilities, modernization of the existing sectors and the emergence of new sectors of the Russian economy

the definition of fundamental improvement of sector regulation for the rapid dissemination of advanced technologies

stimulation of innovation, support for scientific and technical activities and processes, modernization of enterprises, taking into account the specifics and options for the development of industries and sectors of the economy

expansion of scientific and industrial cooperation and forging new partnerships in innovation

improvement of normative-legal regulation in the field of scientific, technological and innovation development
