Ann Sempe and Belinda Smith
visited ALC-East and Campbell
MS to show them new ways of
making schedule changes and
trailing of report card grades.
This is one of the first campus
visits of many that they will be
making to help create a stronger
relationship with counseling
departments in our district.

Ann Sempe hosted training for elementary school
counselor’s to educate them in the eSchoolPLUS
entry of course requests for all students moving from
5th to 6th grade next year. The course request process
seems like a simple task, but in reality it takes some
human consideration to determine which class level
each student should be attending for 6th grade.

Norma Blenderman and Patricia
Maldonado attended an
OnDataSuite 2015-2016 CRCD
Review on Tuesday,
March 7, 2017.
The workshop focused on
requirements for submitting to
CRDC. The CRDC collects data on
key education and civil rights issues
in our public schools. Most of the
data reported comes from PEIMS
but some additional data files must
be created and loaded to
OnDataSuite (ODS).
Using ODS makes CRDC reporting
EASY!

Spring Break is that time of year
that we pause to recharge our
batteries. I also think it is
important to reflect to ensure
that we finish strong and on
target. The 2017 school year
will end in two short months. It
seems like this year has been a
sprint rather than a marathon. I
am looking forward to a little
downtime, and then coming
back to finish this sprint we
started eight months ago.

As this week before spring break ends, I’m reflecting on accomplishments. It
feels good to complete both important and more mundane tasks before taking
some time off.

heavily on my team. Renee Peel, Marta Bott, and Pat Maldonado
continue to perform at the highest level and ensure that all PEIMS
procedures and processes are completed.
Thank you TEAM! Enjoy a much deserved Spring Break!

Frankie Jackson shared with us the great time she had at TASBO in one of
her sessions with Juliet Funt.
Juliet Funt spoke about White Space at work. One of her points “Is there
anything you can let go of?” Just so happens, the day of DLT, there was
an issue with Purchase Orders. My first reaction was to drive back to the
office and take care of the issue. Well, John Crumbley helped me decide to
stay at DLT and “let it go” to my staff and they did great. Son Nguyen and
Dava Clark worked through the issue keeping John and myself informed
until the issued was corrected. A great lesson learned.
