Map Expectations
Students – increase ability in literacy-reading /comprehension / writing. To become proficient in word .Better discipline / performance increased self esteem. Resources- laptops, internet access, appropriate software and teachers and parental support
Parents- greater involvement in the mapping of child’s education /career path. Educating parent with student. Improvement in student learning. Access to laptop , time for training
Teachers- improvement in student’s discipline, class attendance, classroom management , student performance in subject areas. Teacher needs laptop, training and time for this-motivation, admin support, proper infrastructure
Administration- For students-improved performance For parent-greater involvement in child’s education and in school activities For teachers- better classroom management, greater support for student learning. Own laptop and training, time to monitor and support, evaluation tool and support of staff. Collaboration with stakeholders
Other stakeholders- MOE, LSB, Businesses in the community, the general community. Expect- school improvement, better community, improve school results, greater collaboration with the school.
Key Question:1. Identify the groups to benefit from
the ICT infusion Intervention2. What should each group expect from
ICT Infusion?3. What do each of these groups expect
from each other?4. What resources are required?

Some , willing and trained teachers. Willing students some are computer literate with laptop Supportive admin
Some are trained, willing, to infuse tech in curr resourceful
term 2- term 35% improvement score from previous term in student’s level-reading/writing and comprehension skill using MOE Calibration
Computer literacy training for parents. Training for teachers –infusion of tech in curr. (Manuals)

What is the Relative Advantage?• What is the Advantage of infusing the
Technology?• Providing motivation for student learning• Easy access to infor.• Diverse teaching strategies• Addressing the various learning styles of
students• Various learning sites.• Instant and continuous assessment and
motivation to improve.• Develop independent learners.• Classes more learner centered.
• Overall Objectives?• Better performance –improved behaviour,
classroom management.• Improved research strategies and
acquisition of knowledge• Inclusion of all- No Student Left Behind• Improved teaching and learning.• Improve /positive attitude to learning• Student takes responsibility and become
active participants in their education/learning

Objective of Infusion
Students - Examples• Improve assessment
scores • Increase student
research skills w/use of technology
• Promote time on task – Reduction of mis-
behaviour– Increase in student
motivation
Teachers•Model expectation of students- motivated, prepared, excited and willing•Teacher facilitates learning•Greater classroom control•Better tracking of student progress•Teaching the students the value of different applications

How will you Measurement (1)
Students•Yearly incremental improvement in student performance e.g. 5% per term•Mid term and end of term overall performance•Active participation in class•Increased in standard of work.
Teachers• incremental
improvement in student performance
• Teacher attendance• Increased use of the
tech.

Measurement (2)
School: Indices (Last Yr vs. Present Yr)1. Physical improvements (technology)2. Spill Over Effect +- (Pervasiveness)3. Initial Challenges4. Lessons Learnt5. Student and teacher improvement in attendance6. Increased extra curricular activities e.g. Computer club, Math Club,
Debate Group, Home work club etc7. Varying the methods of assessment

Integration Strategies
Term 1 Term 2
• Use of word processing and review function for students to build their reading/writing skills and dev. vocabulary
• Use of approp. Software e.g. educational games to initiate interest and as a learning tool
Term 3
• Use of skills gained to further development- writing skills . E.g. Use of badly written paragraphs that would require the students to use skill dev. to correct. Dev of skills – extracting relevant info from given text- eg. Parts of sentence
• Research info on sentence structure from the net.
1. What tools/techniques will you introduce based on your learnings for each term?
2. What is a good starting point for integration?
