What are the Three Threats of Rapid Technology Change?
Obscalescence
Inconsistent Versions of Software Across
Devices
Too Much Device Variety
on the Market
New technologies constantly replace and cannibalize
themselves.
Fragmentation
Proliferation
![Page 5: Technology & Education Presentation](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022020123/55a66e981a28ab7d5b8b4608/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity
2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments
3. Model digital age work and learning
4. Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility
5. Engage in professional growth and leadership
How can we solve these
problems if our classroom

Tips for Using the Smartboard
• Let Kids Use the SmartBoard!• Create Learning Stations • Design Creative Experiences
• Don’t use the Smartboard to JUST present slides• Remember that Smartboards can do everything
your computer can! And More! (Skype, Discussion Boards, Interactive Games, etc.)
![Page 12: Technology & Education Presentation](https://reader031.fdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022020123/55a66e981a28ab7d5b8b4608/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Limitations of Smartboards
• Not enough training for teachers!• School districts want quantity not quality of
Smartboard classrooms
• Designing lessons becomes more time consuming.
• They can be overused• Using too many features at once can
cause students to lose focus • Smartboards are Very Expensive
