Overview of device selection process:• We are putting together a

recommendation of what we are giving kids in a digital learning era. There is no wrong decision for this – the wrong decision would be to not have a model.

Key Messages

• There is no perfect device. • We are providing essential digital access to kids and it is on its way.• Goal is to be 1:1 at grades 6 thru 12 by the fall of 2015• We eliminated the tools that were less ideal for schools and focused on the ones that best support the work of

the Academic Design Team• We are creating flexibility through a lease to own model• There will be ongoing assessment of what is the best tool for students to use• There wasn’t a predetermined decision. The group developed the recommendation themselves through

thorough discussion and their voices were heard
