Edirol recorderThe Edirol voice recorder was the device I used in order to record my audience research and feedback. I learnt how to control the two microphones and operate the device. I also learnt how to play back my recording to insure that it was recorded properly to avoid having to re-record or having to do major edits on the clip later on. I found the device fairly easy and straightforward to use.

Adobe Audition and Sound studio I used both Adobe Audition and sound studio in order to edit and convert my voice recordings to an MP3 format. I learnt how to deleted unwanted areas of my recording and even add a fade in or fade out effect.

This was useful in making my clip sound more flawless and professional while insuring that my interviewee had a clearly audible voice.

•Change the lighting of my photos by using the curves function•Airbrushing the models faces by using a combination of the blur tool, healing brush, clone stamp and liquify filter.•How to use the magic wand and magnetic lasso in order to select and edit areas.•How to manipulate colours.•How to use layers and add effects to them by double clicking.•How use and edit text

• My blog was of course essential in my coursework as I regularly published my research, progress and work. I had never used a blog before and learnt how to publish and edit posts using images, slide shows and voice clips as well as text.

Slideshare and Divshare

• In order to publish powerpoints (slideshare)and MP3 files (divshare) on my blog I needed to use these two websites which would convert the files in to HTML format and give me the Embed which I could then publish on to my blog which would convert the files in to either a voice recording to a slideshow. This was hugely useful as I am able to publish a large amount of information in one powerpoint rather than writing several pages on my blog. Divshare also allowed me to publish my recorded audience research which was hugely beneficial to me and gave me more detailed answers than a questionnaire.

SLR Canon cameraIn order to create crisp and professional looking images, it was imperative that I used an SLR camera that had numerous settings that I could manipulate to produce the desired effect. I learnt how to use the manual setting on the camera which allowed me to adjust the exposure of my picture as oppose to using flash which creates unflattering, unprofessional images. I also learnt how to transfer my images from the camera to a computer through a USB lead or a memory card reader which I had never done before.
