    NOTE TO TENDRER:A. Tenderers shall quote separately for each of the configuration/combination ofCompressor. They shall declare complete technical details of each of the variantsoffered as per Questionnaire attached.

    B. The tenderers are required to furnish a complete list of bought out items on aSeparate sheet titled 'BOUGHT OUT ITEMS" with the relevant governing ISS, source, makemodel No. etc. Diesel engine up to 20 KW shall be ISI marked, and engines above 20 KWshall be as per IS: 10002:1981 and Turbo Charged Engine shall be as per IS:13018/1990(Reaffirmed 2000).

    C. The bid shall accompany the technical literature/catalogues of the model offeredgiving the salient features of the product.

    D. The tenderers shall quote only their standard/established model which are in theirrange of production.

    E. Standard accessories which will form part of supply shall also be listedalong with each model of compressor.

    F. Operation & maintenance instruction manuals shall be included in the supplies.

    G. Engine shall be applicable so as to give required FAD (Free Air Delivery) at ratedpressure at 500 Meter altitude.

    H. The Manufacturer/tenderers shall declare the required power rating of the dieselengine or electric motor required for delivering the required FAD at the rated pressureand same shall be incorporated in the contract.

    I. Tenderer shall indicate the minimum and maximum temperature and altitudes for whichthe prime mover is suitable to give rated output. This shall be supported bydata/derating chart from prime mover manufacturer.

    J. In terms of cl.5 of IS: 6430/85 (Reaffirmed 2007) amdt. no.1&2 tenderers shallindicate the maximum altitude, min/max. temp and relative humidity at which the

    equipment offered shall be capable of giving rated output. Power correction factor withcalculations justifying the choice of model of engine with a particular variant of aircompressor shall accompany the offer stipulating the designed shaft power requirementof each model along with power consumed by standard accessories like fan, alternator,intercooler, turbocharger etc. as applicable and the corresponding RPM. The engineshall have class A or B governing as per ISS.

    K. The offer shall accompany the catalogue of the engine model suitable for eachvariant of air compressor, along with power output-rpm characteristic curves.

    L. The firm may submit their in house type test certificate for different types ofcompressor as per respective governing specification at the time of registration &inspection.

    Note to Purchase:-1- The indicative minimum FAD as mentioned under schedules are to facilitate themanufacturer to quote their models in suitable range.2- The Manufacturer shall declare the required power rating of the diesel engine orelectric motor required for delivering the declared FAD by the manufacturer at therated pressure and same shall be incorporated in the contract.

    NOTE TO DIRECT DEMANDING OFFICERS:

    Information furnished by the firm regarding Sp. fuel consumption at full load/Unloaded condition/ Rate of lubrication oil consumption etc. in QUESTIONNAIRE to betaken into account for selection of compressor based on their requirements includingduty cycle.

    1) The Air-Compressors shall be supplied with the following :

    (Standard Accessories) :i. Safety Valvesii. Pressure gaugesiii. Unloaded valve(for automatic unloading of excess pressure developed)iv. Air receiver of the size required

    v. Safety guardsvi. Air filtervii. Inter cooler (Where required)viii. Moisture separatorix. Oil trapx. Pipingxi. Control panelxii. Balanced opposed reciprocating compressor must have step capacity control

    and no. of steps provided to be specified.xiii. For screw air compressor, tripping through time delay relay for tripping the machine if run in unloading conditions for five minutes.

    2) PRIME MOVER

    i. ELECTRIC MOTOR

    a) Electric Motor (SPDP / TEFC) shall conform to IS: 325/1996 (Reaffirmed 2007)with amdt. 1, 2&3 or Energy Efficient Induction Motor (SPDP / TEFC) shall conform toIS: 12615/2011(First Revision).These motors shall be suitable for operation on 415 V,3 phase, 50 HZ, AC supply. It shall be complete with overload, under voltage andsingle phasing protection.

    b) Power factor of electric motor shall not be less than 0.85, capacitors ofsuitable rating shall be provided to meet this requirement.

    c) Degree of ingress protection for Electric motor of (a) above shall IP 23 forSPDP and IP 55 for TEFC as per IS/IEC60034-5(2000). The firm shall produce testcertificate for the same at the time of both registration and inspection.

    ii. DIESEL ENGINE:

    Diesel engine shall conform to IS: 10001:1981 with amdt. 1 to 4 (Diesel engineup to 20 kw shall be ISI marked), or IS: 10002:1981 with amdt.1 or IS:13018:1990(Reaffirmed 2000) (for turbo-charged Engine). The engine shall have class -Bgoverning as per ISS.The engine shall be complete with all standard accessoriesincluding Lead Acid Storage Batteries conforming to IS: 7372/1995 (Reaffirmed 2009)with amendment 1 to 3 for 12/24 volt electric starting system. For engine upto 30 HPhand starting system shall also be provided. In terms of clause 7.2.3 of IS:6430/85(Reaffirmed 2007) with amdt. No.1&2, a cooling system shall have a separateradiator.

    4. TRAILER:

    Trailer shall comply with the CMVR Act & Regulation. It shall be complete withreflector/tail light mounted at the back, wheels with pneumatic/soild tyres, leafspring axle. The draw bar shall be of hinged type provided with towing eye. Over-runbrakes and hand operated parking brakes shall also be provided. Tenderers shallprovide G.A drawing of the trailer to the concerned Inspecting officer with proof of

    approval under M.V. Act /Rules and same shall be required at the time of registrationand inspection.

    5. As per clause 9.2 .1 of IS: 6430/1985(Reaffirmed 2007) , it is desirable but notmandatory that the noise Level of compressor unit may be 75 dB + 3 at 7 m distance.Actual noise level shall be specified by the manufacturer.

    6.The firm shall submit the technical literature/catalogues of the each model offered,giving salient features of the product.

    7. The firm shall quote /tender only their established model in market.

    8. Mobility test should be conducted as per IS:6430/1985(Reaffirmed 2001). QA Officershall ensure that during curency of rate contract each model is assessed for this testas and when offered by the firm even if lot size is less than 5.If lot size is morethan five assessment would be done as per governing specificatiob.

    9. For mobile compressor ,Performance evaluation of machine should be conducted asper IS: 6430/1985 including operating angle etc as aaceptance tests.

    10. Centre of gravity in case of mobile air compressors shall be assessed at 30

    degree lateral tilt as per governing specification.

    11. The firm may submit their in house type test certificate for different types ofcompressor as per respective governing specification at the time of registration &inspection.
