During a CW alert or CW agent work, wear MOPP Level 4 protective equipment.

Do not use an outdated kit for testing because it will give unreliable test results.

Read nerve agent test results carefully. In this test, NO COLOR CHANGEmeans agent is present.

In preparing simulant test water, DO NOT USE canteens, canteen cups, or othercontainers intended for potable water.

Someof these chemicals can be harmful if inhaled, swallowed, or allowed to contact skin or eye. AVOID smoking, eating, drinking, or chewing during tests.

b. If an accident occurs which results in exposure, do the following:

(1) Wipe or blot skin to remove chemicals, then flush affected area with water. Contact withchemicals may not cause an immediate reaction, so flush area with water even if you don’t feeldiscomfort.

(2) If you get chemicals into cuts or scratches, flush area with water.

(3) If you accidentally get materials in your eyes, flush eyes immediately with clean water. Seeyour medic.

(4) If you accidentally get materials in your nose, blow your nose to expel material.
