(iii) ENTRIES BY COUNTRY AND ATHLETES
Each country may enter six (6) athletes per event, with the top four (4) athletes being totaled for team
results. Each country must confirm by email their entries. The organizing committee will send an email with
the confirmation of entries to each country. Please ensure all information is completed correctly and athletes
are entered in the correct event. All documentation must be sent on the official forms attached to the
following addresses:

GENERAL INFORMATION
All delegates are reminded that the championships are scheduled to be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Hence,
your final destination, by air should be Piarco International Airport (POS), Trinidad.

Airlines that fly to Trinidad include:
Air Canada, ALM Antillean Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Caribbean Airlines, COPA Airlines, Insel
Air, JetBlue, LIAT, Surinam Airways, United Airlines, West Jet.
(i) ACCREDITATION
Upon arrival, all delegates will be transported to the accreditation center at the HYATT Regency Trinidad
Hotel where athletes will be requested to show their travel documents.
Passport and travel documents of all competitors will be checked by officials from the LOC at the
accreditation Center. These will be returned promptly, following verification of Age, by the LOC and the
Technical Delegate.
There will be an accommodation levy of US $50.00 per night per person. This must be paid at the
accreditation center before teams are allowed to be accredited. The official period of accommodation will
be from 12:00 noon Thursday 14th February, 2019 to 12:00 noon Sunday 17th February, 2019 (3 Nights).
Accommodation outside of the official period will be at the expense of each delegation.
(ii) ACCOMMODATION
The delegations, coaches and athletes will stay at the HYATT Regency Trinidad Hotel located at No. 1
Wrightson Road, Port of Spain. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes away from the competition area and
40 minutes from Piarco International Airport. The sleeping arrangements will accommodate four (4) athletes
per room and two (2) officials per room. Teams will be responsible for 100% cost of extra rooms requested.

(iii) QUOTA The quota of officials and athletes established is outlined in the following table:

(iv) TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE
A transportation schedule will be available when your team arrives to the accreditation center.
Transportation to and from the airport will be based on the itinerary sent by each delegation. Please send
this information as soon as possible on the TRAVEL Information forms attached.
(v) MEDICAL INFORMATION
During the championships, there will be available space for the teams to set up physiotherapist facilities in
the warm up area.
Ambulances, paramedics and a meet doctor will be available. Team leaders are asked to confirm that all
athletes are medically fit to participate and should provide a list of any medications/ allergies/ recent illnesses
/injuries of all team members.
The official hospital is Port of Spain General Hospital which is located approximately 5minutes away from the
competition area.
(vi)MEDICAL AND LIFE INSURANCE
Each country, according to the IAAF rules, is responsible for the insurance of the participants in their
delegation. Member federations are responsible for taking out insurance to cover illness or injury/life to
members of their delegation and/or team when travelling internationally.

(viii) ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Visas are not required for travel to Trinidad and Tobago by most countries. The L.O.C. in conjunction with the
government department in charge will work with delegations requiring such including: Dominican Republic
and Haiti to ensure that they will be accommodated.
(ix) DEPARTURE TAX
Departure tax from Trinidad and Tobago is included in the cost of airline tickets
(x) CURRENCY
The legal currency of Trinidad and Tobago is the Trinidad and Tobago dollar (TT) However, the US$ is accepted
throughout the country at a foreign exchange of One (1) US$ to $6.60 (TT).
(xi) NATIONAL FLAG
Each delegation is requested to provide two national flags for the competition and awards ceremonies deco-
ration. The flags must measure 1.20m x 0.80m and 3m x 2m respectively. They will be flown in the circuit
during the competitions.

(ii) COMPETITION VENUE
The Queens Park Savannah is located in the capital of Port of Spain. It is the largest Open Space situated
between the Northern Range and Downtown, occupying approximately 260 acres of land.

(iv) TECHNICAL MEETING
The technical meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel on Friday 15th February at 7:00 p.m.
Questions of a technical nature must be submitted to the Technical Delegate by teams on the prescribed
form, no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 15th, 2019. Absolutely no questions will be accepted from the floor
during the technical meeting.
The Technical Delegate will preside over the meeting, which will be conducted in English and translated in
Spanish. No more than two (2) delegates (plus a medical representative if team has one) from each
participating team may attend the meeting. The agenda shall be as follows:

(v) COMPETITION NUMBERS (BIB NUMBERS)
Competition numbers for the athletes will be distributed to the Team Leaders at the Technical Meeting. Each
athlete will receive two (2) numbers, which must be worn visibly on the breast and back during competition.
Athletes without numbers will not be allowed to enter the competition area. The numbers must not be bent,
cut or tampered with in any way.
(vi) COMPETITION UNIFORMS
According to IAAF rules, every athlete should compete using the official colors of their country. Athletes who
are not wearing the official uniform will not be allowed in the competition areas.
(vii) CALL ROOM AND WARM UP AREA
Each athlete must report to the call room area to be checked off by officials to ensure that proper uniform is
worn and that bibs are correctly placed. Once all checks are done, athletes will be ushered to the competition
area.
(viii) ANTI-DOPING CONTROL Anti-doping tests will be conducted throughout the competition in accordance with the IAAF rules. According to the IAAF rules and WADA, anti-doping control measures will be taken by the Anti-Doping Department and they will be sent to an accredited international laboratory. (ix) AWARD CEREMONY
The award ceremony will commence after of each event at the Queens Park Savannah.
(x) PROTESTS
At the Technical meeting on Friday 15th February, 2019, the Jury of Appeal will be selected. In accordance to
the IAAF rules, any protest or appeal, after discussion with the event officials, could be presented at the
Technical Information Center in a written form no more than 30 minutes prior after the official
announcement of the results. Such protests or appeals must be accompanied by $100.00 USD deposit, which
will be forfeited if the appeal or protest is not upheld. The Jury of Appeals will make a decision after all the
available resources are considered.
(xi) RESULTS The results of each event will be announced in a timely manner. A complete report of all finals will be located online on the NAAATT website www.ttnaaa.org and the NACAC website www.athleticsnacac.org

DELEGATES AND THE LOCAL ORGANIZING COMMITTEE.

GENERAL INFORMATION OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
Trinidad and Tobago is a twin-island Caribbean nation near
Venezuela, with distinctive Creole traditions and cuisines.
Trinidad’s capital, Port of Spain, hosts a boisterous carnival
featuring calypso and soca music.
Numerous bird species inhabit sanctuaries such as the Asa
Wright Nature Centre. The smaller island of Tobago is known
for its beaches and the Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve,
which shelters hummingbirds.
