Background

Professional training has from the start beenbeen one of core functions of NCPCs

Focused on training of national RECP experts/auditors

Many NCPCs are hosted by (Technical)

Universities that have sought to introduce

RECP content in their programmes UNIDO and UNEP supportive, but no mandate

UNIDO is active in TVET, in particular aimedat entrepreneurial skills

Including though partnerships with HP and Microsoft

under its poverty eradication pillar
