Introduction

Petro-Canadas DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 will

get your off-road and on-road fleet started

with excellent cold start-up performance to

prevent low cold start engine wear. Industries

such as Mining, Drilling, Forestry and Heavy

Construction are where you will find DURON-ESynthetic 0W-40 hard at work.

The design for the DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40

(DESYN04) is based on the same CJ-4 / SM

performance additive technology used for

DURON-E 15W-40 and is suitable for use in

2007 and pre-2007 engines.

DURON-E products are specially formulated

with unique high performance additive systems

in combination with Petro-Canada's patented

99.9% pure synthetic base oils. One of the

purest base oils in the world. DURON-E is

formulated to the highest 4-stroke diesel and

gasoline engine oil standards and is ideal for

use in extended oil drain interval service. The

keys to success in extending service intervals

are good operating practices and maintenance

Applications

DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 meets the physical

property requirements of SAE J300 for this

viscosity grade and is formulated using CJ-4

technology.

Gasoline Engines

DURON-E SYN 0W-40 is suitable for use in

most engines operating on gasoline or natural

gas fuel. This includes passenger car and lightduty truck applications where API SM or earlier

specification is required.

DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 provides better lowtemperature flow at severe cold temperaturesthan its competitor. The higher the viscosity,the thicker the engine oil.
