Social Events, cont.

Restaurant Proceeds NightAsk local restaurants if they would be willing to have a proceeds night. A certain percentage of each of the sales will go towards your Team Fight fundraising efforts. See if you can advertise Team Fight and the Ulman Cancer Fund by placing posters and brochures around the restaurant leading up to the proceeds night.

Game NightBreak out the snacks and have a good old-fashioned game night! Play traditional games and charge an entry fee for each player. Or try a poker tournament with half of the winnings going to Team Fight.

Movie NightHost a movie night in a local park, school auditorium or your own house. Sell popcorn, homemade treats, drinks, and candy to raise money towards your commitment – don’t forget to set out a donation bucket!

Trivia NightHold your own trivia night at a local restaurant. Ask if they would be willing to donate a gift card to the winner and a portion of the night’s proceeds to Team Fight.

RafflesAsk local restaurants or businesses to donate prizes and raffle them off at the office or during your own Team Fight event. You could also try a 50/50 raffle, where the cash pot is split (50% goes to the winner, 50% goes towards Team Fight!)

When you join Team Fight, you are agreeing to raise the assigned fundraising minimum for your particular program before race day. Participants who do not raise this amount by the start of the race will be invoiced for the outstanding amount.

According to the race production companies’ policies, if the full fundraising commitment is not raised 7 days prior to the IronGirl Triathlon or NYC Marathon event, you will be prohibited from participating in the event. There will be no exceptions made.

FUNDRAISING POLICIES

CheckpointsCreate checkpoints for yourself to keep on track towards your fundraising commitment. Mandatory fundraising checkpoints will be instituted for all Iron Girl Training Program and NYC Marathon team participants.

Medical Condition, Injury or Military DeploymentIf you are not able to participate due to a medical condition, injury, or military deployment, we require that you still fundraise 25% of your minimum fundraising commitment. You must also provide documentation supporting withdrawal from either a medical professional or military superior.

No withdrawals will be accepted once race registration is complete (Iron Girl Triathlon/NYC Marathon teams).

Branding & Logo Use PolicyUCF’s logos, program names, and images are trademarked andmay not be reproduced outside of the organization. We have instilled this policy so that the UCF brand is not misused or misrepresented. In place of the UCF logo, we have created an alternative “benefitting” logo for use, as long as the use abides by the guidelines listed on page 5.

In the past, participants have used UCF program logos, names, and images on a variety of items such as flyers, business cards, and thank you notes. In order ensure the UCF brand is being used appropriately, we ask that individuals wanting to use the UCF benefitting logo or program logos, images, or names abide by the following:

What if I already registered myself for the Iron Girl Triathlon or the NYC Marathon? If you already paid for your entry into the race, but would like to be a part of the Iron Girl Training Program or the NYC Marathon team the registration fee will be deducted from your total fundraising goal.

Example: If your fundraising commitment is $1,000 and youpaid $200 to register, your new minimum fundraising commitment would be $800. However, we encourage each Team Fight member to shoot for a goal higher than his or her minimum commitment.

I am participating in one race with Team Fight this year, but also plan on participating in other non-Team Fight races. Can I still wear the Team Fight uniform?

Yes! We strongly encourage you to do so since spreading awareness is one of the critical aspects of Team Fight. The more people we have participating in Team Fight gear, the better.

Educate yourself about the mission and services of the Ulman Cancer Fund so you can spread the word about the young adult cancer cause to fellow race participants in the future!

Can I participate in more than one program as a Team Fight member? How does the fundraising work in this situation?

Yes, you can participate in Team Fight as a member of multipleprograms. For example, if you are a member of Team Fight’s FIGHT CLUB, you can still be a part of the Iron Girl Training Team and/or the Fall Marathon team.

Please re-register for the additional program online, if you plan on being a part of more than one. In this situation, you would be responsible for fundraising the minimum amount for each program you are participating in as a Team Fight member. The only thing you would need to do after registering is add the new fundraising amount to your original goal.

Example: If you were registered for the Iron Girl Training Program and had a fundraising minimum of $1,000 and then decided to register to do a 5K as part of Fight Club, you would be responsible for fundraising a minimum of $1,200.
