Twitter in Teaching• Used unit code as a hashtag #HSN201 for

all relevant tweets from me and asked students to do the same

• Tweet questions and comments on a lecture, links to new research, good articles, nutrition blogs and people/groups to follow

• Added a #HSN201 hashtag feed on CloudDeakin site

Other Ideas

• Use for ‘word of the day’ or ‘fact of the day’ related to key teaching concepts

• Regular tweets to give advice on each week’s tasks, reading or problems - aiming for a conversational style that will support students

• Seek key potential future mentors and start to follow and engage with them
