Presidency is situated on the Thane-Bhiwandi bypass, approximately 9 kilometers from

the Bhiwandi City. Bhiwandi is well-connected to Thane, Kalyan and adjoining areas.

Nestled in a tranquil, picturesque and pollution free environment, Presidency is spread

across 5.5 acres. A majestic main building, indoor sports hall and administrative building

surrounded by lawns and landscaped gardens are prominent features of this campus.

The environment at Presidency derives its milieu from the ‘Gurukul’ tradition that

stresses on the importance of a serene locale in aiding effective knowledge transfer.

Spacious, ventilated and well-furnished classrooms equipped with comfortable furniture

contribute to the joy of learning.

The classrooms are provided with Digital Boards that make use of audio-visual modules

to supplement textual knowledge. A Smart Assessment System (SAS) has been devised

to facilitate a more interactive learning experience.

Walls of the classrooms are adorned with students’ creative works. The class strength is

kept at levels that assist one-to-one interactions between teachers and students.

Mess

The school mess serves freshly prepared and nutritious

breakfast and lunch. An in-house nutritionist regularly

supervises the wholesomeness of the prepared food

and provides necessary guidance. Special Jain food is

also made available at the mess.

Games

Students are offered a gamut of outdoor games to dabble in. In addition to regular ones like

cricket, hockey, football and basketball, students are also encouraged to take up specialised

sports like rock climbing, rappelling, rifle shooting, river valley crossing and skating among

other adventure sports. Indoor games such as badminton, chess and carrom are also given

their due importance.

act as an extension of students' classroom learning through acquiring first hand knowledge and

performing experiments on their own.

House System

With an intention of making students responsible and to

breed the spirit of positive competition, they have been

divided into different Houses. Each House is headed by

a House Captain who is assisted by a prefectorial body.

The House Captains and members of the prefectorial

body together constitute the Student Council which

undertakes various duties & ensures that inter-house

competitions are well conducted.

Discipline is the cornerstone of development.

Discipline implies guiding students through

lessons in self-control, obedience, cooperation

and punctuality.

At Presidency, we conduct regular morning

assemblies, physical education classes, follow

a stringent code of conduct and have

formalised special discipline committees to

help us communicate authority and shape our

students’ personalities.

We also believe that discipline cannot be forced,

and that it ought to be internalised. By inculcating

the value of discipline through grooming, neatness,

tidiness and other everyday activities, we try to

create an atmosphere where students understand

the virtues of discipline and practice it even in the

absence of a higher authority.

Because we believe that discipline is a continuous

process, we encourage parents to play an active

role in regulating the behaviour of children at home.

What is ICSE?

ICSE or Indian School Certificate Examinations is the premier Educational Board

in the country.

What are the advantages offered by ICSE?

ICSE syllabus has a distinct advantage over the others. The curriculum prepares

your child for higher studies and competitive exams. ICSE's flexibility allows

students to opt for subjects of his/her interest. ICSE standards give its students

an edge over their counterparts when it comes to pursuing higher education.

What syllabus based differences is ICSE endowed with?

Except for second languages, all other subjects are taught in English. This early

exposure to the universal language lays the basis for comprehending of themes

and issues in English and holds children in good stead for the rest of their lives.

How does ICSE assess a student?

ICSE places importance on achieving knowledge and not just textual learning.

The annual assessment is based on both written exams & project and

assignment based internal assessment in a ratio of 80:20.
