Research and Creative Scholarship

Research and Creative Self-Appraisal

I am pleased with what I have been able to accomplish in the area of artistic and creativeactivity in just one semester at Texas Tech. The pinnacle of the semester was a successfulsolo performance of André Jolivet’s 2nd Concerto for Trumpet with the Symphonic WindEnsemble. In addition to this I presented two full-solo recitals along with Will Streider in theDallas Area and a host of “Trumpet Fundamental Clinics” at various high schools.

I was delighted to be invited to perform Mahler’s Second Symphony with the LubbockSymphony Orchestra and happy to continue my long-standing relationship with the AlbanySymphony Orchestra in New York with a subscription series performance in December ofthis year.
