First Impression Phone Call

• Brief and friendly introduction

• Make it personal – refer to questionnaire

• Let them know if you will need them to purchase any supplies

• Logistics

• Answer questions

•Appearance of your person and your studio•Create a comfortable environment•Empower the student and parent•Learn and experience with them•Recognize learning styles and multiple intelligences – “custom made” lessons•Be accessible

There are 3 basic styles or modalities

Follow Up and Maintaining Relationships

• Make lessons, communication, etc easy for your students and parents

• Use the TakeLessons tools – journal, goal setting tool and practice tool

• The key is to remember this is a RELATIONSHIP
